Cedar Court care home provides nursing, dementia and respite care to up to 63 residents. The team at Cedar Court also provide care via a specialist unit for younger people with disabilities. Experienced, registered nurses and care assistants, selected for their skills, operate a 24 hour service, delivering a high standard of care to suit individual nursing care needs.

An experienced Manager supervises the day to day running of the home and ensures that the care delivered encompasses social, physical, psychological and environmental needs. The catering team provides a varied meal choice, including nutritious and tasty meals, and special dietary requirements are catered for.

Accessible to those who wish to visit family members, the home stands within easy reach of local shops and major road routes such as the A40 to Oxford and London. Witney is the largest of the market towns in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds and much of the architecture reflects the past prosperity of the woollen trade, including the 17th century Butter Cross and Church of St Mary the Virgin with its 150ft spire. The town has a bustling atmosphere with a good range of shops, supermarkets and a twice weekly market.

My mother has been at Cedar Court for almost a year following a fall, which resulted in her being unable to return home and needing residential nursing care.
The manager and staff have always been willing to discuss queries and help to solve problems as changing needs have necessitated.
The team
at Cedar Court appears compassionate and treats the resident with dignity and care.
With no agency staff, the residents have more continuity of care, which can only ensure that the needs of the residents are known. The residents will also benefit from not continually seeing new faces.
With the appointment of new activity coordinators, the benefits to the residents are noticeable.
The administrative staff are very helpful.

My husband has been a resident at Cedar Court since August 2022. My husband suffers from dementia and other medical conditions, he has high needs. He was admitted to Cedar Court from the hospital as I was no longer able to meet his high needs at home. Finding a care home for my husband was very difficult
as he has such high needs. The manager was kind, compassionate, and caring throughout, and it was a great relief that she was able to provide a placement for my husband. She is incredibly knowledgeable both in the practical medical side and also in the administration role. She has a great team of dedicated staff who do their utmost to ensure that residents are well looked after. There is continuity of staff looking after the resident which is a positive point. Communication is generally good. Housekeeping staff are great at finding things were inevitably do go missing from time to time. The Admin team, two of them in particular, (also a carer) are also welcoming and friendly.

My wife came to Cedar Court on 19 January 2024 following 2 or 3 stays in hospital. She was in the latter stages of breast cancer which was first diagnosed in 2019. Although she would have preferred to have been at home, her stay in Cedar Court went a long way in matching home life.
The manager, the
nurses and the general staff were all very professional, capable and above all very caring. I have to make special mention of the manager, who displayed an outstanding and professional administrative job in addition to a notable and practical level of medical knowledge. My wife felt safe, well looked after and cared for.

I have been in Cedar Court now for nearly 5 years. I find it is a nice home with very good caring staff. If you need anything they will do their best to help you. They are very friendly and make you feel important too. The food is very good with a good choice to pick from. The management is very good,
they will listen to you and help you sort anything out, a very professional team. I would recommend Cedar Court anytime.

When looking at the home initially, the manager was very helpful. All staff have been very positive. The office staff have been very welcoming and informative. All staff appear to know the residents well. More regular activities for stimulation would be good.

I would definitely recommend Cedar Court. My mother has lived here for over a year and is very well cared for. She is kept very clean and tidy and always mentions how much she likes the food. All the staff are very friendly, approachable and helpful. My mother's room is spacious, kept nice and warm

I would recommend this care home to anyone with elderly relatives requiring full-time care. They have looked after my aunt for a few years now. She has received an excellent standard of care from all the staff, including during the difficult times of the pandemic, when they kept all their residents
safe. And before and during covid, my aunt asked if it would be possible for her to move rooms, so her son could see her through the window of her room. The manager and staff arranged this without any problems at all. And quickly moved her into her new room and finally, the home has a high standard of care, cleaning and catering from all members of staff.

My parents entered Cedar Court Care Home in December 2022. It has taken me a while to fully adjust to this and understand the workings of a care home and set my sights on the standards and expectations. My father is in the dementia wing and it is only now, some months later, that I am beginning to fully
appreciate the huge challenges that face the management and staff, day by day, hour by hour. The staff at Cedar Court, many of whom are now known by first name, show such dedication and professionalism. I can't name names as such but the carers who deal with my father show real compassion towards him which makes being able to deal with seeing him slip from this world into another all the more comforting at a time that is deeply upsetting to witness. My mother too, now incredibly frail, receives this same care and attention and gradually we have all become 'one family'. For anyone needing to use a care home for loved ones, brace yourself but with homes like Cedar Court, you will be looked after.

Met the new permanent manager who has a lot of common sense and I'm sure will make things better. Already the garden has had a revamp and looks fabulous. The new staff members I am told are now mostly permanent, again a huge benefit to all. Small repairs which had been previously ignored have also been
done. I hope the hard but very positive steps continue so that I can give a full five-star rating.
Carry on the good work all of you. Your new manager is making a huge, long-awaited difference, long may she stay.

My mum has been at Cedar Court for a number of years now and she is always happy. She does look like she needs a bath/shower and hair wash when I go in sometimes but I understand this can be difficult. There always looks like there should be more carers on duty but it can be hard to employ the right
person,the staff are always so busy. When Ive been in at meal times the food always look lovely. Thank you to all the staff who look after her.

My dad can be quite difficult at times and has remained on a Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) since his admission. All staff have been so good with calming him down and using distraction techniques to de-escalate any situation. They are all very friendly and caring.
