Cedar Court care home provides nursing, dementia and respite care to up to 63 residents. The team at Cedar Court also provide care via a specialist unit for younger people with disabilities. Experienced, registered nurses and care assistants, selected for their skills, operate a 24 hour service, delivering a high standard of care to suit individual nursing care needs.

An experienced Manager supervises the day to day running of the home and ensures that the care delivered encompasses social, physical, psychological and environmental needs. The catering team provides a varied meal choice, including nutritious and tasty meals, and special dietary requirements are catered for.

Accessible to those who wish to visit family members, the home stands within easy reach of local shops and major road routes such as the A40 to Oxford and London. Witney is the largest of the market towns in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds and much of the architecture reflects the past prosperity of the woollen trade, including the 17th century Butter Cross and Church of St Mary the Virgin with its 150ft spire. The town has a bustling atmosphere with a good range of shops, supermarkets and a twice weekly market.

Cedar Court is a disabled friendly home, complete with en-suite bedrooms, a choice of lounge areas and secure courtyard garden. All care is personalised and each resident has their own key worker who keeps up with their requirements, enabling the team to respond to any change of preference or health.

Cannot fault the reception staff or the food coming from the kitchen. Cleanliness and tidying of my mother's room leaves room for improvement although the communal areas are fine. I agree with the other reviewer that handovers appear to be haphazard in that a requested service expected and given by
some carers is ignored by others.

I visit a lady who has been a resident at Cedar Court Care Home for many years and has quite complex needs. She always seems to be well cared for and any issues I have raised have been dealt with promptly and appropriately.
The staff on reception are very friendly and helpful. Nursing staff appear
to be very busy and since my friend moved to another part of the home I have not had a chance to get to know them. However, the standard of care does seem good.
In recent years there have been a number of managerial changes which may have caused some problems in continuity of care but I hope things will stabilise now after a time which has been difficult for all.
Overall, I feel this is a good home.

My husband has been a resident of Cedar Court since 2010. I have seen managers come and go, good and bad. I've seen Cedar Court at its best and at its worst. I've seen it bought back from a not so good place to a rating of "Good". The current manager is new and has a long way to go and communication
could be better. Relatives' meetings during the day are no good for working relatives. There needs to be more consistency in the care team looking after my husband. A more efficient handover with staff is needed because care plan and care needs are not always explained or followed. Cleanliness of the rooms and the laundry need improvements. The rooms need updating and repairs acted on asap. The chef is amazing and the food is excellent. The reception staff are also amazing, polite and very helpful. I look forward to being able give 5 star ratings.

Visited the home in June. Warm and welcoming receptionist. Very friendly and helpful manager. Manager was professional and very accommodating. She answered all my questions and showed me around the home.

Very helpful and kind. Look after my elderly dad, with Parkinson's, and he is safe and well looked after.

Caring, Compassionate staff. Looking after Dad well. He is happy. Excellent with Covid-19, after 63 years together, Mum and Dad are now separated, although sad, Mum has peace of mind knowing Dad is safe and well.

Due to Covid-19. I can only speak from distanced outside visits.
However, these are well organised, safe visits to my mother which I would not want any other way to avoid possible infection to her or the home.

The staff have been very caring and nurture a personal relationship. Consistency of staff is a big factor in this. It would be nice to have more outdoor space, but the room is light and bright. Communication with the family has been very good and much appreciated.

I have visited my sister on numerous occasions, mostly unannounced. I have found the care staff to be very professional, but friendly towards us as visitors and very caring towards my sister.

I can't think of anything at all negative but he is very well cared for. Especially, in light of the pandemic, Facetime and now visits, plenty of phone calls to keep us updated. All needs catered for; he is as happy there as he can be, and sometimes thinks he's in a hotel. Couldn't ask for better than

My mum-in-law has been at cedar court for 7-years and has been very well looked after. The staff take great care of her and see to all her needs. During this awful time we are going through, they have kept us informed every step of the way, which has given us peace of mind as we weren't allowed to visit
her, which was really had but we get the regular phone and face time calls which was excellent considering all the staff had to do and emotionally cope with. They were excellent, thank you, staff, at Cedar Court.

Our mother has been a resident in Cedar Court for almost two years now and in that time she has been well looked after especially during the lockdown weeks when we were unable to go in. I was able to visit Mum for the first time last week and she looked so well and cheerful. A very big thank you to

Management has a long way to go especially the home manager. Alarm system needs an update, plus residents need to be placed in the right units in the building e.g. those with dementia and those without.

My husband has dementia and has been in Cedar Court since October. Overall I would say I have been fairly happy with his care and time there. The staff are very caring, friendly but efficient in their work. The laundry can sometimes be a problem with items getting lost but know that this is not any
easy job with so much to do. Being self-funding disappointed that have to pay extra for hair cuts and nail cutting.
