Hampton Grove Care Home offers residential care in a modern care home located within landscaped gardens in Hampton Vale on the outskirts of Peterborough. All accommodation is en suite with a wet-room style shower. The home offers a hairdressing salon, community bar and a vibrant activities programme.

The home provides residential, respite, palliative and dementia care. Bedrooms are set across four floors and each floor has two living rooms and its own dining room, allowing residents to relax and socialise.

Residents can enjoy the home's landscaped gardens which include a seating area and gazebo, which is ideal for socialising. Meals are freshly prepared onsite by trained chefs, who offer a range of nutritious and tasty meals, catering for special dietary requirements.

While the activities coordinators are responsible for overseeing a varied and busy activities programme, they are supported by the wider Barchester Life Enrichment team who provide access to a wide range of virtual and interactive resources including Oomph to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Do not use this company. My 98 yr old father stayed here for one week and really did not enjoy the experience. He said that no one talked to him, so our explanation that he was profoundly deaf, was ignored.
On collecting him all his clothes were in the laundry, even though we had expressly said not
to wash them, and I was told that they could not retrieve his clothes for 5 days! I made a complaint in person and was not offered anything but apologies, even though we had to buy extra clothes for him in the interim.
We had him booked for a haircut and they couldn't even manage to get him to that, they forgot.....
When we got him home his speech was slurred due to lack of fluids, which took days to reverse, our doctor had to put him on hydration medication! I hate to think what state he would have been in after 2 weeks.
We felt so guilty that we had left our lovely, frail dad, with people who just care about the numbers. I'm sure this is down to poor management.

Although due to the coronavirus lockdown we have been unable to see my mother, I have been impressed with the response from the staff. We have been doing 'Whatsapp' calls with my mum, who seems to be in a good state of mind and is constantly reassure by the staff when she becomes upset about her situation.
She seems to be well-fed and cared for.

My nan was transferred to Hampton Grove after a fall at home amidst the covid pandemic, so it has been extremely stressful for our family, but after a shaky start with the reception team (I had the phone put down on me after enquiring about visitation, sounded like he was too busy to talk to me) The
care team and entertainments staff have been amazing! My nan seems fairly happy (Which is a miracle in itself) I would like to say a special thank you to the lady who works with my nan as she has gone above and beyond for her.

Hampton Grove was Mum's happy, caring home for the last 20-months. Although quite a private person, Mum made lovely new friends with both residents and carers and enjoyed activities such a char aerobics, cake decorating and crafts. I could call or visit whenever I wanted and was always welcomed and
brought up to date with and medical needs etc. They really upped their game during the covid pandemic, quickly locking down the home, wearing PPE and having staff and residents tested. They also found ways to continue the activity programme without outside help. I have already recommended Hampton Grove to others. Thanks for all your hard work and best wishes to all the team.

I have found all the staff to be caring, considerate and capable. Wonderful supportive staff. All needs are cared for promptly special thanks for the wonderful celebrations for Mother's 100th birthday, you really made up for us not being able to take Mother out (COVID-19). We met outside for 30 minutes to open cards and gifts plus a surprise cake!

Since my mother entered the care home in 2014 she has been well looked after by a caring and well-managed staff. She wasn’t the easiest person to look after but the staff were always on hand to deal with any issues that she had. After five and a half years of living there, we have to say that we were
confident that she was happy and well treated. We visited every week she was there and got to know the staff really well. They were always very polite and professional and I will miss our weekly catch-ups.
I would definitely recommend to anybody who was thinking of sending a relative to a care home to Avery House/Hampton Grove.

On arriving at the home I am always greeted by a smiling friendly face on the reception desk. All the carers and staff are friendly and helpful no matter what time I arrive or contact the home. My husband settled quite quickly in the home, enjoys his meals and although a shy man, is joining in with
the activities. He thinks he is at work so likes being given little tasks to do, which makes him feel valued.

Mum has been a resident since June 2018 following a stay in hospital. She has had spells in hospital since but with the dedication and care of the staff, together with Mum's stoic attitude, she has pulled back from the brink. Everyone remains cheery and do their very best to keep the resident's spirits
up,k especially in these particularly difficult times. Both Mum and I would like to thank everyone for all that they do.

My Mum has been in Hampton Grove Care Home since the beginning of the year. I have to applaud all the staff for their professional attitude and compassion they show to my Mum. I have found all the staff extremely helpful and they endeavour to resolve any problems as fast as possible. My Mum has virtually
no mobility and can be a stubborn so n so, however, all the staff are patient and ensure my Mum has the best possible standard of life. I highly recommend Hampton Grove Care Home.

My mother came to Avery House on 30th November last year, originally for 2 weeks respite. She has been very happy at Avery and I have been more than happy with everything. The place itself and also the staff are excellent. The only reason I am moving my mother is because I live in Stamford, Lincolnshire
and I'm finding the journey too much as I don't drive and have numerous illnesses myself. If it wasn't for this, my mum would be staying at Avery House.

My mum has been a resident since October 2019. During that time I have been very happy with the care she has received. The staff are very kind and caring and have always treated my mum very well. Hi, my name is Cassie and I am the Head Chef here at Hampton Grove.


Being Head Chef means that I am responsible not only for the resident's nutrition but also for ensuring that they have a wonderful dining experience. Alongside daily nutritious meals, my team and I fill the cafe with delicious cakes, create regular afternoon tea parties, host private dining events and support the Activities team with their life enrichment programme. 


I love meeting new residents and discussing their favourite foods with them.

Hi, my name is Paul and I am the Head of Maintenance here at Hampton Grove.


As the Head of Maintenance, I make sure the home and gardens are maintained to a high standard. We are very proud of our beautiful home and the whole team works hard to ensure that our residents enjoy living here.


It is my responsibility to make sure every resident's stay here is as comfortable as possible and I am always on hand to help residents with putting up a new picture, installing a new TV or rearranging their furniture. 


My door is always open to anyone who has an idea about improving the home in any way.

Hi, my name is Dan and I'm part of the maintenance team here at Hampton Grove.


My role is to ensure that the home is always in tip-top condition.


Since joining the team I have also taken on the role of Health & Safety Champion. It is my duty to keep the building in good repair and ensure everyone’s safety.


Hampton Grove is a lovely home with lovely gardens, and everyone who visits us is guaranteed a warm and welcoming hello.
