I have visited my friend now in Brackenfield Hall for the past year and I have to say this home is amazing. The home is so welcoming and the care staff are above the rest. The home manager cannot do enough for everyone. The activities are brilliant, there was a singer on last week and she was fabulous.

My friend just loves it.

I looked around for somewhere I thought would suit my mother. I am glad that I chose Brackenfield as it really has everything I was looking for. She has a really nice large room which looks out over the entrance so mum can 'neb' at all the comings and goings whilst in her room. The staff are really attentive and regularly make drinks and nibbles available. Today they organised a game of skittles in the lounge using empty plastic bottles.

My mother had a go and knocked them all down. She looked very pleased with herself. The staff keep the place meticulously clean on a regular basis obliterating any nasty smells that some homes have. Every week they have singers and other entertainment with occasional tea parties and fetes. My mother was very frail when she moved in almost six months ago but she has improved no end under their care. Well done each and every one of you.

Although I was apprehensive about placing my mother-in-law in a home, Brackenfield Hall is proving to be a great choice.

The staff show they really care for their residents and the weekly activities, along with the visit from the hairdresser have really helped her to settle in quickly.

From our very first visit to look around Brackenfield, we were impressed by both the kindness of the staff and the home in general.

My mum was made to feel most welcome and in such a short time has settled in nicely. The positive attitude of the staff, weekly activities, and facilities in general have enabled my Mum to feel comfortable.

Mom needed to move at quite short notice. Brackenfield Hall helped make the move quick and it went without any issues. Staff and residents were supportive helping Mom to settle. Staff are friendly and regularly check on her if she is on her own. The food is of a high standard and residents are encouraged to join in activities. Mom settled in after a couple of weeks and it is nice to see her with a smile on her face.

I enjoy visiting the home, it is such a relaxed atmosphere. My relative, on residential AD, says it's her home. Everyone seems happy in the home, lots of laughter. The home is clean and lots of changes with the decor. Every time I go, there is something new added to the home, lots of staff around attending to residents. The garden area is lovely and big and used well. The staff are really kind to everyone and activities are brilliant. There was a singer on when I went, she is amazing, she got everyone up dancing, so lovely to see.

Mum is very happy and well cared for in the home. She has had ups and downs but has come through and eating and drinking again with the care from the carers, and the staff are always friendly and approachable. She likes the entertainment watching the singers and going to the bar and tearoom.

My mother has lived in Brackenfield Hall for nearly six years and has received a high level of care and support throughout her time here. She is clean and well cared for and her personal needs are met. My mother struggles to communicate socially and will voice her concerns and opinions to me rather than staff so I would like my mother approached more frequently by staff to ask if she needs anything. On the whole, care is excellent.

My wife has been in the care home six weeks (i.e. Brackenfield Hall). During this time, she has been well looked after, she seems happy and settled, the staff are all helpful and caring. On a personal note, I would like to thank the deputy and team leaders who threw a comforting arm around me during the first four weeks. Many thanks.

P.S. I would recommend this care home.

Always very welcoming and the carers work really hard, looking after a lot of residents.
Any queries are dealt with and I am phoned immediately if any problems.
My mum had a fall about six weeks ago, they phoned for an ambulance and by the time I arrived the paramedics were there and dealing with her. Fortunately, it wasn’t a serious fall but it made me feel confident in the people there.

I have given four for food as I am never there at mealtimes when they are busy. Mum seems happy with the food.

The most excellent care is given by all of the staff to my grandad. Everyone is welcoming and very polite. Food is great. Excellent accommodation to stay at. All around excellent service. My grandad always looks very happy and enjoys his stay here. The staff at Brackenfield Hall Care Home are very helpful and supportive when it comes to seeing to both care home residents and their family members that visit. During my grandad's stay, there has been a big improvement in his physical and emotional well-being.
