Brackenfield Hall in Frecheville, Sheffield offers residential and dementia care where residents receive personalised care in safe and supportive surroundings by an experienced, highly trained care team.

The home's dementia care is tailored to provide high quality individual support.

The home has 60 single en-suite rooms, which residents are welcome to make homely with their own belongings. Brackenfield Hall continues to welcome new residents on both a permanent and shorter term basis.

The care team get to know customers and work with them to organise stimulating activities which match individual and group interests, both in the care home as well as in the local community.

Each customer’s individual needs are regularly assessed to ensure their care plans meet their lifestyle requirements. Meals are cooked fresh and from locally sourced and seasonal ingredients where possible by a highly trained Chef Manager and catering staff.

Mum is very happy and well cared for in the home. She has had ups and downs but has come through and eating and drinking again with the care from the carers, and the staff are always friendly and approachable. She likes the entertainment watching the singers and going to the bar and tearoom.

My mother has lived in Brackenfield Hall for nearly six years and has received a high level of care and support throughout her time here. She is clean and well cared for and her personal needs are met. My mother struggles to communicate socially and will voice her concerns and opinions to me rather
than staff so I would like my mother approached more frequently by staff to ask if she needs anything. On the whole, care is excellent.

My wife has been in the care home six weeks (i.e. Brackenfield Hall). During this time, she has been well looked after, she seems happy and settled, the staff are all helpful and caring. On a personal note, I would like to thank the deputy and team leaders who threw a comforting arm around me during
the first four weeks. Many thanks.

Always very welcoming and the carers work really hard, looking after a lot of residents.
Any queries are dealt with and I am phoned immediately if any problems.
My mum had a fall about six weeks ago, they phoned for an ambulance and by the time I arrived the paramedics were there and dealing with
her. Fortunately, it wasn’t a serious fall but it made me feel confident in the people there.
I have given four for food as I am never there at mealtimes when they are busy. Mum seems happy with the food.

The most excellent care is given by all of the staff to my grandad. Everyone is welcoming and very polite. Food is great. Excellent accommodation to stay at. All around excellent service. My grandad always looks very happy and enjoys his stay here. The staff at Brackenfield Hall Care Home are very helpful
and supportive when it comes to seeing to both care home residents and their family members that visit. During my grandad's stay, there has been a big improvement in his physical and emotional well-being.

Mum has only been at Brackenfield a short time but I know it's been the best move, as her emotional health and mobility has improved already. Brackenfield has a lovely family feel and there's always a smile, friendly face and a chat. Every member of staff and management are fantastic, they have been
so supportive and you can tell they genuinely care about the residents and families. Mum is encouraged every day to participate in everything that's happening. I can rest assured knowing, Mum is happy, safe and well cared for in a warm and happy home.

My dad has been a resident since March 2023. This was a very difficult decision to make, but the staff here have been very helpful and supportive in this move. We have had Dad's room decorated with the help of a staff member - doing a fantastic job of decorating and putting some shelves up for us.
The
staff are very helpful with everyday concerns and tracking missing items.
Dad seems to have settled well, which gives me peace of mind to know he is safe.

My mother has happily lived at Brackenfield Hall for nearly two years. The carers became her second family, and she was very happy and well cared for.
Sadly, she has just passed away, but the care and support that was given to both her and her immediate family was fantastic.
All went the extra mile,
and the painful journey we were taking at the end was a lot less scary knowing they were there and listening.
We are forever grateful to them for allowing my Mum to end her living journey in her home with her familiar surroundings and her family around her.

My wife lives here. The care staff are all lovely. The management team are always helpful. My wife enjoys the food and it always smells appetising. My wife is settled here and is always clean and well-dressed. Staff make me feel part of the family and make me feel welcome. Nothing is too much for them.

My mother-in-law joined Brackenfield in November 2021 due to a deterioration in her condition and both she and we needed support to ensure her safety.
After a few weeks settling in, our mother started to call Brackenfield home!
All the team were supportive, helpful and caring and importantly it changed
our view and that of our friends and relatives of care homes.
The home is very welcoming and clean, the food is excellent as are the staff, the activity programme, gardens and facilities.

After a very challenging couple of years caring for Dad, the difficult decision had to be made to look for a permanent place of better care for him.
It was extremely difficult and upsetting as his decline was so rapid during the lockdowns. Dad visited Brackenfield Hall, initially for respite care.
He had a difficult period settling in initially due to his disease but the care staff have been amazing. There are always activities to keep residents engaged and we are extremely grateful to all who have got to know Dad and his history and respect him for the man he was and the man he is now.
The home is clean, the staff are helpful and the food and care are very good. Thank you.

When Mum first arrived at Brackenfield Hall she had difficulty waking and spent most of her days sleeping in bed. In a very short time, Mum went from strength to strength - walking with a frame and eventually walking independently again. If anything she kept staff on their toes as she was on the go
all day!
Having felt so guilty about moving Mum to the home, we soon realised it was the best thing we could have done for her. She was always around the other residents and staff - being encouraged to join in the many craft sessions or have her nails painted.
Unfortunately, Mum passed away at Brackenfield Hall but she was snuggled in her bed - the best way to go.
We can honestly say it was the best eighteen months we could have wished for - feeling relaxed and comforted to know Mum was being cared for with such love and dignity.
The staff are amazing and treat the residents just as they would their own families. I cannot recommend or thank them enough.

The staff are kind and caring towards residents and helpful to family members too. The home is clean and comfortable. A range of generous tasty meals are served. We were very happy with the care they provided for Mum and the efforts they made to make her happy.

My mum is so well looked after at Brackenfield. The staff can't do enough for mum; they are kind, compassionate and patient with all the residents. The care home is decent, clean and comfortable. My bedroom has everything I need and the bed is comfortable. The carers are very kind and friendly. If I need anything I ask and the carers help me. All other residents are nice and friendly, they have made me feel welcome and have included me. The food
is good, no complaints and there is always plenty to eat with a good choice. I am happy here and have settled well.
