Brackenfield Hall in Frecheville, Sheffield offers residential and dementia care where residents receive personalised care in safe and supportive surroundings by an experienced, highly trained care team.

The home's dementia care is tailored to provide high quality individual support.

The home has 60 single en-suite rooms, which residents are welcome to make homely with their own belongings. Brackenfield Hall continues to welcome new residents on both a permanent and shorter term basis.

The care team get to know customers and work with them to organise stimulating activities which match individual and group interests, both in the care home as well as in the local community.

Each customer’s individual needs are regularly assessed to ensure their care plans meet their lifestyle requirements. Meals are cooked fresh and from locally sourced and seasonal ingredients where possible by a highly trained Chef Manager and catering staff.

My mother-in-law joined Brackenfield in November 2021 due to a deterioration in her condition and both she and we needed support to ensure her safety.
After a few weeks settling in, our mother started to call Brackenfield home!
All the team were supportive, helpful and caring and importantly it changed
our view and that of our friends and relatives of care homes.
The home is very welcoming and clean, the food is excellent as are the staff, the activity programme, gardens and facilities.

After a very challenging couple of years caring for Dad, the difficult decision had to be made to look for a permanent place of better care for him.
It was extremely difficult and upsetting as his decline was so rapid during the lockdowns. Dad visited Brackenfield Hall, initially for respite care.
He had a difficult period settling in initially due to his disease but the care staff have been amazing. There are always activities to keep residents engaged and we are extremely grateful to all who have got to know Dad and his history and respect him for the man he was and the man he is now.
The home is clean, the staff are helpful and the food and care are very good. Thank you.

When Mum first arrived at Brackenfield Hall she had difficulty waking and spent most of her days sleeping in bed. In a very short time, Mum went from strength to strength - walking with a frame and eventually walking independently again. If anything she kept staff on their toes as she was on the go
all day!
Having felt so guilty about moving Mum to the home, we soon realised it was the best thing we could have done for her. She was always around the other residents and staff - being encouraged to join in the many craft sessions or have her nails painted.
Unfortunately, Mum passed away at Brackenfield Hall but she was snuggled in her bed - the best way to go.
We can honestly say it was the best eighteen months we could have wished for - feeling relaxed and comforted to know Mum was being cared for with such love and dignity.
The staff are amazing and treat the residents just as they would their own families. I cannot recommend or thank them enough.

The staff are kind and caring towards residents and helpful to family members too. The home is clean and comfortable. A range of generous tasty meals are served. We were very happy with the care they provided for Mum and the efforts they made to make her happy.

My mum is so well looked after at Brackenfield. The staff can't do enough for mum; they are kind, compassionate and patient with all the residents. The care home is decent, clean and comfortable. My bedroom has everything I need and the bed is comfortable. The carers are very kind and friendly. If I need anything I ask and the carers help me. All other residents are nice and friendly, they have made me feel welcome and have included me. The food
is good, no complaints and there is always plenty to eat with a good choice. I am happy here and have settled well.

I have lived at Brackenfield Hall for a few months now. I really like it here. I have made some lovely friends, and the staff are really wonderful, they are helpful, polite and nothing is too much for them. I was very lonely at home, but now I am surrounded by lovely people. My room is very homely and
welcoming. The meals are nice, especially the puddings. Every day there is something happening for me to join in with. I am so glad I moved here. I'm so happy and thankful to all the staff.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brackenfield to anyone facing the difficult decision of choosing a care home for their loved one. We moved Mum there a few months ago and it was the best decision we could have made for her. The home itself is always clean, fresh and beautifully decorated and the ensuite
rooms are spacious and bright. Mum always looks clean and well dressed, the staff really make an effort to ensure her hair looks nice and her nails are painted, which is lovely to see and clearly makes Mum feel good. She is always so cheerful when we visit and we put this down the fabulous care she is receiving. The staff at Brackenfield are warm, caring, friendly and always put the residents first, there's always something going on, arts and crafts, entertainment, sing a longs, even visits to their 'pub'. Mum loves to get behind that bar! Their Facebook page is updated regularly and it's so lovely to see what a great time they are all having and how happy the residents are. 5 star.

Our mum has been in Brackenfield Hall for two years now and I have nothing but praise for all of the staff and the management, who are all amazing! They are always helpful, kind, polite and friendly and are so committed to their job, nothing is too much trouble. The staff treat the residents with such
love and care, as if they were one of their own and I know that my mum is happy and enjoying her time there, which is so reassuring. I would, without a doubt, 110% recommend Brackenfield Hall to anyone, who is looking for a care home. Mum has been at Brackenfield for just over 4 months, after my sister and I made the decision to move her from another care home and I'm so pleased we did. The staff are all fabulous and really do put the residents first and the facilities are superb. There's always something to get involved with, outside
entertainment, arts and crafts, games (Play Your Cards Right, is a favourite!), dancing or just a good old sing-a-long. Mum is always clean and well-dressed, her hair is kept neat and tidy and her nails are always painted. This means such a lot to her and is reflected in her raised spirits, since she has been at Brackenfield. Communication is a high priority and we're kept fully informed with anything that we need to know. Their Facebook page is also very regularly updated and it's heart-warming to see all the residents happy and enjoying themselves. I can't recommend them highly enough, to anyone going through the difficult decision of choosing a care home for their loved one.

My stepfather who suffers from dementia has been a resident of Brackenfield for 20 months and during that time he lost his partner, my mum. The staff have been wonderful in helping him deal with his loss and he seems to have settled well. He says the food is good and he particularly enjoys the cooked
breakfast. Due to Covid, I have only recently had access to the building and find it warm, clean, comfortable and the staff welcoming. I feel confident that my relative is safe and being well looked after.

Mum has been a resident in Brackenfield Hall now for just over 2 months, and I can't say it has been easy, as much for the family as for mum, but the team at Brackenfield have been fantastic, reassuring us as well as mum. We can rest easier knowing she is being cared for, has as much company through
the day as she wants but can still have her own time in her room if she needs to. We know she eats well (she says the food is great), and we know she is safe. Huge thank you to all the team, you do a great job, especially through the difficult times we have all just faced.

Myself and my sister visited Brackenfield Hall whilst looking for a care home for Mum and were very impressed by the staff and the friendly, family atmosphere at the home. Mum was really isolated and lonely before she moved in. Within days, she had changed completely and was really enjoying her time
there. She was encouraged to sit and chat with the other residents and was always busy doing some sort of activity, she even joined the singing on the Karaoke. The staff are so friendly and helpful and treat everyone with absolute dignity, whilst retaining a family atmosphere, we really couldn't have wished for a better place. They were very good about informing us of anything to do with Mum and they genuinely do care for their residents. Mum passed away in January after six happy months of enjoying an all-inclusive hotel, as she used to call it. I have and I would 100% recommend Brackenfield Hall to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one. Thank you for taking such good care of Mum.

Mum has been a resident at Brackenfield Hall for the last ten months. When she first arrived she could not walk, had a catheter, refused to eat, wouldn't socialize, very low in her mood, and just all together miserable. Also had a few more medical issues which needed hospital admission. But now today
she's a different woman thanks to all the care and attention given by the staff. She is now able to walk and chat with everyone, eat and drink independently, for toilet needs and be as independent as anyone at 91 years old can be. I cant praise the staff enough they are all fantastic thanks for giving us our Mum back.
