My dad has been a resident since March 2023. This was a very difficult decision to make, but the staff here have been very helpful and supportive in this move. We have had Dad's room decorated with the help of a staff member - doing a fantastic job of decorating and putting some shelves up for us.
The staff are very helpful with everyday concerns and tracking missing items.

Dad seems to have settled well, which gives me peace of mind to know he is safe.

My mother has happily lived at Brackenfield Hall for nearly two years. The carers became her second family, and she was very happy and well cared for.
Sadly, she has just passed away, but the care and support that was given to both her and her immediate family was fantastic.
All went the extra mile, and the painful journey we were taking at the end was a lot less scary knowing they were there and listening.

We are forever grateful to them for allowing my Mum to end her living journey in her home with her familiar surroundings and her family around her.

My mother-in-law joined Brackenfield in November 2021 due to a deterioration in her condition and both she and we needed support to ensure her safety.
After a few weeks settling in, our mother started to call Brackenfield home!
All the team were supportive, helpful and caring and importantly it changed our view and that of our friends and relatives of care homes.
The home is very welcoming and clean, the food is excellent as are the staff, the activity programme, gardens and facilities.

Thank you and keep up the great work.

After a very challenging couple of years caring for Dad, the difficult decision had to be made to look for a permanent place of better care for him.
It was extremely difficult and upsetting as his decline was so rapid during the lockdowns. Dad visited Brackenfield Hall, initially for respite care. He had a difficult period settling in initially due to his disease but the care staff have been amazing. There are always activities to keep residents engaged and we are extremely grateful to all who have got to know Dad and his history and respect him for the man he was and the man he is now.

The home is clean, the staff are helpful and the food and care are very good. Thank you.

When Mum first arrived at Brackenfield Hall she had difficulty waking and spent most of her days sleeping in bed. In a very short time, Mum went from strength to strength - walking with a frame and eventually walking independently again. If anything she kept staff on their toes as she was on the go all day!
Having felt so guilty about moving Mum to the home, we soon realised it was the best thing we could have done for her. She was always around the other residents and staff - being encouraged to join in the many craft sessions or have her nails painted.
Unfortunately, Mum passed away at Brackenfield Hall but she was snuggled in her bed - the best way to go.
We can honestly say it was the best eighteen months we could have wished for - feeling relaxed and comforted to know Mum was being cared for with such love and dignity.

The staff are amazing and treat the residents just as they would their own families. I cannot recommend or thank them enough.

My mum is so well looked after at Brackenfield. The staff can't do enough for mum; they are kind, compassionate and patient with all the residents. The home is clean, lovely decorated, warm and very homely. Since my mum started living at Brackenfield, she has never looked better, and that's a testament to the care she receives. Thank you to all the fabulous staff.

The care home is decent, clean and comfortable. My bedroom has everything I need and the bed is comfortable. The carers are very kind and friendly. If I need anything I ask and the carers help me. All other residents are nice and friendly, they have made me feel welcome and have included me. The food is good, no complaints and there is always plenty to eat with a good choice. I am happy here and have settled well.

I have lived at Brackenfield Hall for a few months now. I really like it here. I have made some lovely friends, and the staff are really wonderful, they are helpful, polite and nothing is too much for them. I was very lonely at home, but now I am surrounded by lovely people. My room is very homely and welcoming. The meals are nice, especially the puddings. Every day there is something happening for me to join in with. I am so glad I moved here. I'm so happy and thankful to all the staff.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brackenfield to anyone facing the difficult decision of choosing a care home for their loved one. We moved Mum there a few months ago and it was the best decision we could have made for her. The home itself is always clean, fresh and beautifully decorated and the ensuite rooms are spacious and bright. Mum always looks clean and well dressed, the staff really make an effort to ensure her hair looks nice and her nails are painted, which is lovely to see and clearly makes Mum feel good. She is always so cheerful when we visit and we put this down the fabulous care she is receiving. The staff at Brackenfield are warm, caring, friendly and always put the residents first, there's always something going on, arts and crafts, entertainment, sing a longs, even visits to their 'pub'. Mum loves to get behind that bar! Their Facebook page is updated regularly and it's so lovely to see what a great time they are all having and how happy the residents are. 5 star.

Our mum has been in Brackenfield Hall for two years now and I have nothing but praise for all of the staff and the management, who are all amazing! They are always helpful, kind, polite and friendly and are so committed to their job, nothing is too much trouble. The staff treat the residents with such love and care, as if they were one of their own and I know that my mum is happy and enjoying her time there, which is so reassuring. I would, without a doubt, 110% recommend Brackenfield Hall to anyone, who is looking for a care home. A big thank you, to everyone who is involved in looking after my mum, we really appreciate you all!

Mum has been at Brackenfield for just over 4 months, after my sister and I made the decision to move her from another care home and I'm so pleased we did. The staff are all fabulous and really do put the residents first and the facilities are superb. There's always something to get involved with, outside entertainment, arts and crafts, games (Play Your Cards Right, is a favourite!), dancing or just a good old sing-a-long. Mum is always clean and well-dressed, her hair is kept neat and tidy and her nails are always painted. This means such a lot to her and is reflected in her raised spirits, since she has been at Brackenfield. Communication is a high priority and we're kept fully informed with anything that we need to know. Their Facebook page is also very regularly updated and it's heart-warming to see all the residents happy and enjoying themselves. I can't recommend them highly enough, to anyone going through the difficult decision of choosing a care home for their loved one.

My stepfather who suffers from dementia has been a resident of Brackenfield for 20 months and during that time he lost his partner, my mum. The staff have been wonderful in helping him deal with his loss and he seems to have settled well. He says the food is good and he particularly enjoys the cooked breakfast. Due to Covid, I have only recently had access to the building and find it warm, clean, comfortable and the staff welcoming. I feel confident that my relative is safe and being well looked after.

Mum has been a resident in Brackenfield Hall now for just over 2 months, and I can't say it has been easy, as much for the family as for mum, but the team at Brackenfield have been fantastic, reassuring us as well as mum. We can rest easier knowing she is being cared for, has as much company through the day as she wants but can still have her own time in her room if she needs to. We know she eats well (she says the food is great), and we know she is safe. Huge thank you to all the team, you do a great job, especially through the difficult times we have all just faced.

Myself and my sister visited Brackenfield Hall whilst looking for a care home for Mum and were very impressed by the staff and the friendly, family atmosphere at the home. Mum was really isolated and lonely before she moved in. Within days, she had changed completely and was really enjoying her time there. She was encouraged to sit and chat with the other residents and was always busy doing some sort of activity, she even joined the singing on the Karaoke. The staff are so friendly and helpful and treat everyone with absolute dignity, whilst retaining a family atmosphere, we really couldn't have wished for a better place. They were very good about informing us of anything to do with Mum and they genuinely do care for their residents. Mum passed away in January after six happy months of enjoying an all-inclusive hotel, as she used to call it. I have and I would 100% recommend Brackenfield Hall to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one. Thank you for taking such good care of Mum.
