I find this care home to be excellent. QAll the staff are caring and you can go to them with any problem. The food here is excellent and as I am a fussy eater, they will cook what I ask for. The care home has a feeling of home about it. I am very pleased to be here and it is like having a second family
but I feel the activities are not as good as they used to be which is disappointing.

I am a resident in this care home so I look after myself pretty well, but the staff keep an eye on me. The only trouble is keeping staff. They have just changed the menu and it is not for the better.

A very pleasant clean and bright building with friendly staff and atmosphere. The facilities and food are excellent not only for residents but for visitors. Minor but necessary maintenance e.g. Dripping tap took some time to rectify but were carried out. Staff took any concerns from relatives very seriously
and acted quickly and explained any actions where required.

I am very happy with my 94-year-old mother's stay at Cambridge Manor. The environment is friendly and warm and my mother is well cared for. The nursing staff and carers provide a safe and cosy retreat where every consideration for my mother's needs is catered for with attention and a smile.

Although my mother in law has not been in Cambridge Manor for long, I am already very impressed with her care.


The staff are wonderful, so patient, caring and kind, not only with my mother in law but with us as well. She has made better progress than we could have hoped for at this stage, which

is down to the care she is receiving. The food is delicious and it is so lovely that my father in law can join her for lunch. She is very comfortable and settled but it is definitely down to the staff that she is happy. They are led from the front by the wonderful manager who is a delight and makes everyone feel welcome, supported and cared for.

Now that mum has settled in at Cambridge Manor Care Home she is starting to see it as her home.


The staff are always pleasant and friendly and the care mum receives is of a high standard.


There are lots of 'common areas' and a nice garden as well.

Cambridge Manor is an excellent care home. The home itself is bright and beautifully decorated with many facilities for clients and relatives. The staff are exceptional ranging from the home manager to all the cleaning ladies. I have the utmost respect and admiration for all of them. Every member of
staff is welcoming and supportive. My husband is settled in the home and I am totally confident that he is safe in their hands. I have been visiting the home for five years and throughout that time I have witnessed care and dedication daily to the residents.

The staff are welcoming at reception. Nursing staff on top floor look after my friend very well. She is bed bound with severe dementia so is unable to use facilities and activities. All staff treat her with respect and kindness.

Dad has been well looked after since he arrived in November. Staff have been willing to listen to any concerns and resolve them through. When Dad has been unwell, they were quick to involve the Doctor. Dad moved down from the dementia unit to the ground floor and this was well-managed. On one occasion,
I phoned through to reception and asked for a message to be passed to Dad saying I couldn't see him that day and it was not given to him. This caused him some distress and I was upset. There have also been occasions when his bed has not been made. However, overall I am very pleased with his care that he receives.

Mum had always said she would never leave her home but one day she said she thought she might like to look. I dropped in unannounced, they showed us a typical room and then introduced me to the manager. A 'quick visit' turned into a long interview about mums needs. We took mum to have a look and she
was thrilled and excited at the prospect of moving in! She kept enquiring when she was going to be able to go in. Since moving in, mums care has been first rate, nothing is too much trouble. I have had regular phone calls regarding mums health. She is so much happier and has settled in so well. Shortly after moving in, I was phoned as mum deteriorated rapidly overnight. When I arrived the staff were totally professional. Once mum was discharged from hospital, the staff have been so thorough in keeping a close eye on her health and well being. The staff are friendly, happy and always available to talk to us. I wouldn't have my mother live anywhere else now, she really is so happy to be at Cambridge Manor.

We were welcomed and helped to settle in on the 7th of February 2014 by the senior nurse.
The care home look after my dad with dignity and compassion because his mobility is not good.
The care home I feel will help him lead as good a life as possible.
The time taken to see him when his buzzer is
rung, could be better, but then nurses have others to care for as well.
Allowances therefore need to be made in these situations.

He began his journey in care as a carer, working his way up through dedication and compassion. A Registered Nurse by profession, Shelly also holds a graduate-level management qualification, equipping him with both clinical expertise and strong leadership skills.
He joined Cherry Hinton Care Home in November 2019 as a Care Services Manager, and was promoted to Home Manager in February 2021. During his time at Cherry Hinton, Shelly led a fantastic team of nurses and carers, always ensuring that residents received personalised, high-quality support while promoting their independence and wellbeing.
