Dear Cambridge Manor Care Home team, it was a wonderful party for my mum last week. I could not have imagined that we could have such a big birthday party for my mum after she moved to the Care Home. My mum was really happy and engaged most part of the party. She even recognized quite a few old friends.
This has a big benefit for her memory refreshing. Many thanks to all staff for the support and help from the planning, preparation and throughout the whole party event. Your homemade birthday cake was fabulous! The traditional India dance was amazing. Our friends enjoyed the party and the clean environment of the Manor provides. It was a wonderful time for all of us. Please pass our gratitude to your staff for their heartwarming support!

We cant recommend this care home highly enough. As family, we are always welcomed by friendly, informed and caring staff - from management, to receptionist, nurses, carers and cleaners. We come to visit mum everyday and the wards and rooms are always spotless. Nutritious food is offered 3 times a day
and it is very fresh; we see the fresh fruit and vegetables being delivered and we sometimes chat with the chef. Mum cannot get out of bed but she has been given the best quality care we could have hoped for over the past year. We are so pleased that she is at this fabulous nursing home.

It's very impressive regarding the care and support of all staff to the elderly. Feel the warmth and love, respect and caring. The birthday party was in good arrangements and the dance was fabulous.

My mum recently celebrated her 90th birthday at Cambridge Manor. The staff put on a little party for my mum, and provided tea/coffee sandwiches, cake and wine. We had about 10 guests come including some of my mum's friends whom she hadn't seen for a good few years. Mum was absolutely thrilled to see
her friends and it was a lovely afternoon. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and I was so pleased that Cambridge Manor were able to put on the party for mum.

The Cambridge Manor truly feels like a cozy home. It's always spotless and tidy, with a warm and welcoming environment that makes residents feel comfortable and cared for. The staff are not only professional, but also they genuinely care and bring such kindness and warmth, which is so important to the
residents and their friends and relatives. There's also always something fun going on-from bonfire nights to summer and winter music concerts, the activities really bring everyone together. They also arrange special performances from volunteers, making sure even bed-bound residents can enjoy music and entertainment. This level of thoughtfulness and care makes the place feel like a true community. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place where their loved ones will be looked after and feel at home.

My mother has been a resident for almost a year. For 10 months she was self-caring and has been very happy and considered Cambridge Manor to be very much her home. She is now in need of much more support and nursing care which is being provided within the home. Our family is confident that Mum is in
excellent hands, the staff are attentive to her needs, kind and caring. We are happy knowing that she is being well looked after.

Outstanding care of my father. Nothing is too much trouble.
All the staff are lovely but a member of staff in particular always goes that extra mile.
So reassuring knowing that dad is well looked after. They organised a lovely 102nd birthday party for him today.

We did not receive a care plan until the third week of a four week stay. His participation in the activities was sporadic to say the least. He was not helped to participate - he needed a wheelchair to get to the right floor for the activities. My husband is taking part in a clinical trial of a drug
- it was not at all clear that this was happening. The paperwork which the home agreed to fill in was not completed. My husband was eligible for NHS funded nursing care. This was ascertained without my knowledge and the money was taken by the home and not deducted from the fees. Some of his clothes went missing and still have not been returned to me after they were subsequently found.

Cambridge Manor Care Home provides a clean and safe environment with caring staff who have a positive attitude and respond to my mother's needs in a sensitive and timely manner. She enjoys the many activities provided and benefitted from the company of other residents in the informal seating areas and
much appreciated garden. There's a good choice of foods which cater for mother's likes and dislikes. My mother has settled in well despite her initial reservations and feels a real sense of community.

I have made one visit to Cambridge Manor and was impressed with the friendliness of the staff from the minute I entered the building. The facility is clean and well maintained with a mention of staff readily available at all times. Care to residents is first class and delivers consideration and dignity

A Registered Nurse by profession, Shelly also holds a graduate-level management qualification, equipping him with both clinical expertise and strong leadership skills.
He joined Cherry Hinton Care Home in November 2019 as a Care Services Manager, and was promoted to Home Manager in February 2021. During his time at Cherry Hinton, Shelly led a fantastic team of nurses and carers, always ensuring that residents received personalised, high-quality support while promoting their independence and wellbeing.
Now at Cambridge Manor, Shelly is excited to bring that same energy, empathy, and excellence to his new role. With a strong, motivated team behind him, he’s committed to making Cambridge Manor a place where every resident feels safe, valued, and truly at home.
