It's a really homely atmosphere as a care home. The staff are warm and caring. They are putting the residents here first. Think that's for the residents' needs. There also are lots of activities running through every occasion. My friend is happy. The food here is delicious too. In general, it's a pleasant

My father moved into Cambridge Manor in early November 2023 as he could no longer manage in his own home, despite carers. My sister and I are delighted with the marvellous care he is receiving. It is a great relief and comfort that he is safe and so well looked after by kind and highly competent staff.

We, as a family, are very grateful for the care you have shown in looking after my dad. He has at all times been treated with compassion and dignity. His basic needs have always been managed with a minimum of fuss. All the staff I have met have been lovely to us and to my dad.

Very happy with the care my grandma received while having a short period of respite. The staff were always welcoming and friendly and made me feel at home while visiting. There always seemed to be something happening at the home on numerous occasions when I visited, which I thought was great.

Both myself and my brother were very happy with the care provided for my mother, whose dementia became increasingly severe during the twenty months she stayed at the care home. The nurse who informed me of my mother's death earlier this week, is exceptional (can this please be fed back!) and he was
very active in reporting setbacks. Some of the carers do have some problems with English, but my mum, as a German, felt very much at home with the caring attitude of staff and, feeling herself as a foreign outsider in the UK, due to dementia, felt comfortable with staff in a similar situation.

My grandmother has been a resident of Cambridge Manor since March 23, going from the hospital. Since being there she has thrived. The standard of care and compassion has been outstanding. Her needs have been met ensuring she is comfortable and happy there. We're notified whenever there is any change
no matter how small regarding Nan's condition. As relatives we are so grateful and appreciate the outstanding care both physical and mental she is receiving.

Upon arriving at the reception I was very pleased with the greeting of 'good morning sir'. The sign-in and sign-out system for security is very professional and reassuring. Very clean and tidy generally throughout the care home. Staff were very kind and willing to help with any requests for my friend
who was a resident ad still is. He is very happy with the care and consideration he has received and would strongly recommend the Manor Care Home to any other elderly people looking to be looked after. Staff and management could not be more helpful.

I had lunch in the home with my mum. We had lunch in a lounge sitting at a table overlooking the garden. The staff - the home manager, a nurse and a member of the wellbeing team waited on us. They took great care of us in a very gentle way, which is important as my mum has dementia. We were treated
like special guests and this made our lunch together very special.
Lunch is a three course meal and all courses were excellent, both in quality of the food and the flavour of the dishes. All were cooked fresh by the chef, there was no processed food. I chose the soup as my starter and when I went home I made the same soup for my husband and myself the next day as I liked it that much.

Shelly brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. He began his journey in care as a carer, working his way up through dedication and compassion. A Registered Nurse by profession, Shelly also holds a graduate-level management qualification, equipping him with both clinical expertise and strong leadership skills.
He joined Cherry Hinton Care Home in November 2019 as a Care Services Manager, and was promoted to Home Manager in February 2021. During his time at Cherry Hinton, Shelly led a fantastic team of nurses and carers, always ensuring that residents received personalised, high-quality support while promoting their independence and wellbeing.

I started my journey in the year 2022 with our sister home, TLC Kailash Manor Care Home, as an Administrative Assistant and have since grown into my current role. Today, I manage HR and Finance-related matters within the home, supporting both our team members and residents. I'm an associate member of the CIPD, having completed my Level 5 qualification in HR, and I'm also a certified Mental Health First Aider with MHFA UK. It's a privilege to be part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional care and support.

Maria has been at Cambridge Manor since its opening back in 2009. She started as a nurse and has experienced a number of roles since, such as Unit Manager of our residential floor and Unit Manager of our Nursing floor. Maria is a key part of the Cambridge Manor family and always goes out of her way to get a smile from our residents.

With over 24 years of culinary expertise, I am a seasoned head chef specialising in continental cuisine, including Mexican, French, Italian, and Indian dishes.


My career began in 2000 at the prestigious Burj Al Arab in Dubai, a seven-star hotel. I then honed my skills on cruise liners for four years and spent 15 years at Hilton. In 2022, I joined TLC Care Home Cambridge Manor, where I oversee the food and beverage experience, including IDDSI special requirement meals for residents
