Whilst we knew that our mum’s end of life was coming close when she went to Cambridge Manor, the whole team kept her content, calm and made sure that she experienced little pain during those final months.
Both the clinical and front-of-house team helped us through the challenges and stresses of healthcare funding, enabling Mum to stay where we all knew she was happiest. Keeping her at the home until her last day will continue to bring comfort to us.

Thank you for every warm encounter with the care, nursing and maintenance team. The moments of warmth and humanity given to Mum and our family helped us to visit often and each time to know we had made a difference.

My dear mum moved to Cambridge Manor a few months ago for her dementia and end-of-life care - she passed away this last weekend. The care that she (and the whole family) received from Cambridge Manor was thoughtful, diligent, respectful and most importantly kind from our first visit to the home to our final plans for her funeral. Staff knew and connected with her, cared for her with love and helped us all feel that Cambridge Manor was the right place for her final days. Mum was happy, comfortable and surrounded by true comfort and care during her time at Cambridge Manor and she knew that she was valued and mattered there.

Cambridge Manor is a place that you can feel confident in for the care of your loved one, whilst also knowing that you will be cared for and helped in some of the most difficult times. Thank you everyone working at Cambridge Manor for your generosity and care.

Overall Experience
My mother was a resident at Cambridge Manor for 4 and a quarter years before her passing in January this year. During her time at Cambridge Manor, we experienced some excellent care, provided by dedicated sensitive professionals. This was brought to the fore on my mother's last few days, when staff members paid their last respects as her end drew near. It moved us all to see such, such heartfelt sorrow by the staff for her passing.
Moving into residential care is never a desirable experience. The learning curve is steep. The wages for the front-line staff are not great, but it is testament to their character that they remain dedicated to their job. I would have to assume that there is genuine love for the role, as it is a tough profession.

A final thank you to a team that helped my mother's adaptation to residential nursing care, be as painless and tolerable as possible.

My mum moved here in July 2022. It really is an amazing care home. All of the staff are so kind and caring. Mum is given the best care by them all and they are always friendly towards me as well. Any health issue with Mum I am always kept informed and kept updated.
The activities and entertainment is very good. Mum loves being involved in these. In the summer Mum loves the garden.
I will always be so grateful for Mum being here. It has made the transition so much easier for Mum and myself too.
To know Mum is so well cared for and safe is very important to me.

Thank you as always.

My father moved into Cambridge Manor in early November 2023 as he could no longer manage in his own home, despite carers. My sister and I are delighted with the marvellous care he is receiving. It is a great relief and comfort that he is safe and so well looked after by kind and highly competent staff.

Both myself and my brother were very happy with the care provided for my mother, whose dementia became increasingly severe during the twenty months she stayed at the care home. The nurse who informed me of my mother's death earlier this week, is exceptional (can this please be fed back!) and he was very active in reporting setbacks. Some of the carers do have some problems with English, but my mum, as a German, felt very much at home with the caring attitude of staff and, feeling herself as a foreign outsider in the UK, due to dementia, felt comfortable with staff in a similar situation.
