Staff very friendly and helpful. In particular they have made a great effort to make my family member settle, feel safe and cared for. He is encouraged to join in all the activities. As a person with young Alzheimer's disease, he needs support with daily activities and the staff are making every effort
to ensure he feels understood.
It is a relief to see how he is settling and reassuring that he is getting such good care.

Our mother has been receiving excellent nursing care at this fabulous nursing home for over a year. At all times, family have felt welcomed and well-informed, including phone calls if her condition changes or if there is a change in her medication. We visit each day and staff always have a smile on
their face and time to discuss day-to-day concerns. The wards are spotlessly clean and the meals are fresh and nutritious. We are so grateful for the kindness staff have shown our mother at her greatest time of need. We cannot recommend this care home highly enough.

You have helped Dad become as settled and mobile as possible. He seems content with things. He finds the staff lovely and the food great! The organisation of the laundry and clothes can be a bit of a mystery and things seem to go missing for periods.

My husband has been very cared for as his needs have become greater than I could give him at home.

Good facilities and physical accommodation. All staff from top to bottom levels, were friendly, welcoming and knew their jobs. They proved to have time to attend fully to clients/residents. Overall, very good.
(My wife stayed there for 2 weeks of respite care).

My husband was only in your care for just over two months, but my family and I were all so grateful for the care given to him at that time.
In spite of his dementia, he seemed to feel safe and mostly happy.
We were very impressed by the good communication between all members of the team and by the
number of staff at all times.
In the last few days before he died, the gentle care given to my husband and all his family was wonderful.

The staff are caring and helpful day and night. The book club is a brilliant experience, will be a regular.
The food is fine, e.g. prune and yoghurt as I settle more.
My room feels like my own space, it's special to me - thank you.

Excellent home. My mum arrived in December for respite and within a few days announced that she would like to stay. Visitors are always made to feel welcome and the staff are so friendly. There are so many activities to choose from. We are all so pleased Mum is here.

Our family are grateful to The Manor Care Home staff for looking after our 93-year-old mother with genuine kindness and care in her final stages of life. They listened to our concerns as well as respecting our mother’s own wishes, keeping us well informed at every stage. Our mother suffered at the end
but we felt confident that everything was being done to help keep her comfortable and peaceful. We’ll always be grateful too that the environment was maintained to a high standard making visits comfortable and uplifting especially at sad and depressing times. The beautiful homemade cakes in the cafe, the garden and flowers on tables showed value and care for both the residents and their families. A friendly greeting from the receptionist on arrival was also greatly appreciated, especially after a difficult journey and during emotional times. We’ll always be grateful for everything you did for us, leaving good memories of the time spent at the care home.

I have already written a positive review of The Manor Care Home, Cambridge.
This one relates to the excellent care they gave my husband in the months before October 2023 when his advanced Parkinson's became too much and he died. Throughout his two years in the Manor my husband was treated with care
and kindness and every effort was made to preserve his dignity. Even though he was at the end of a long and at times painful illness my husband managed to appreciate his time in the Manor and was fond of his carers. His death was handled with kindness and compassion. Staff attended his funeral. I have shown my appreciation of this care home by continuing to run a monthly book club which seems much enjoyed by residents.

Whilst we knew that our mum’s end of life was coming close when she went to Cambridge Manor, the whole team kept her content, calm and made sure that she experienced little pain during those final months.
Both the clinical and front-of-house team helped us through the challenges and stresses of healthcare
funding, enabling Mum to stay where we all knew she was happiest. Keeping her at the home until her last day will continue to bring comfort to us.
Thank you for every warm encounter with the care, nursing and maintenance team. The moments of warmth and humanity given to Mum and our family helped us to visit often and each time to know we had made a difference.

My dear mum moved to Cambridge Manor a few months ago for her dementia and end-of-life care - she passed away this last weekend. The care that she (and the whole family) received from Cambridge Manor was thoughtful, diligent, respectful and most importantly kind from our first visit to the home to our
final plans for her funeral. Staff knew and connected with her, cared for her with love and helped us all feel that Cambridge Manor was the right place for her final days. Mum was happy, comfortable and surrounded by true comfort and care during her time at Cambridge Manor and she knew that she was valued and mattered there.
Cambridge Manor is a place that you can feel confident in for the care of your loved one, whilst also knowing that you will be cared for and helped in some of the most difficult times. Thank you everyone working at Cambridge Manor for your generosity and care.

My mother was a resident at Cambridge Manor for 4 and a quarter years before her passing in January this year. During her time at Cambridge Manor, we experienced some excellent care, provided by dedicated sensitive professionals. This was brought to the fore on my mother's last few days, when staff
members paid their last respects as her end drew near. It moved us all to see such, such heartfelt sorrow by the staff for her passing.
Moving into residential care is never a desirable experience. The learning curve is steep. The wages for the front-line staff are not great, but it is testament to their character that they remain dedicated to their job. I would have to assume that there is genuine love for the role, as it is a tough profession.
A final thank you to a team that helped my mother's adaptation to residential nursing care, be as painless and tolerable as possible.

My mum moved here in July 2022. It really is an amazing care home. All of the staff are so kind and caring. Mum is given the best care by them all and they are always friendly towards me as well. Any health issue with Mum I am always kept informed and kept updated.
The activities and entertainment
is very good. Mum loves being involved in these. In the summer Mum loves the garden.
I will always be so grateful for Mum being here. It has made the transition so much easier for Mum and myself too.
To know Mum is so well cared for and safe is very important to me.

He began his journey in care as a carer, working his way up through dedication and compassion. A Registered Nurse by profession, Shelly also holds a graduate-level management qualification, equipping him with both clinical expertise and strong leadership skills.
He joined Cherry Hinton Care Home in November 2019 as a Care Services Manager, and was promoted to Home Manager in February 2021. During his time at Cherry Hinton, Shelly led a fantastic team of nurses and carers, always ensuring that residents received personalised, high-quality support while promoting their independence and wellbeing.
Now at Cambridge Manor, Shelly is excited to bring that same energy, empathy, and excellence to his new role. With a strong, motivated team behind him, he’s committed to making Cambridge Manor a place where every resident feels safe, valued, and truly at home.
