My husband went into Bramley House when his increasing frailty and vascular dementia made it impossible to keep him safe at home. Before admission the Asistant manager did her utmost to assess his needs as well as my concerns for him. His heart failure and frailty made it impossibe to reach the garden from our first floor apartment and on the day he arrived, he was able to get out into the fresh air, touch the plants and listen to the birds. He tended to get depressed when not occupied with something he enjoyed and the activities manager went to great lengths to engage the residents. Sadly my husbands condition deteriorated suddenly but the end of life care was excellent and carried out with love & respect and the support given to me was wonderful.
It was an absolute privilege to be able to care for John in his final weeks. He was a truly special gentleman, and we all learnt so much from him during the time he was with us. We will always treasure the moments we were able to spend with...
The care staff and management are amazing people, who care so much about all the residents. We 3 daughters feel our Mum is in the best care Home and glad we made this choice.
It is honestly wonderful to see how happy she is and how well she has settled over the past few weeks. She has embraced life at Bramley House so...
Due to my Mum's advanced illness, her stay at Bramley house was a very short one. However, I would like to thank the staff for their help and support at such short notice. Particular thanks goes to the lady who saw us on Easter Saturday when my wife and I just turned up out of the blue asking if they could be of any help as my Mum's condition was worsening by the day. At that stage we literally didn't know which way to turn. Also a huge thank you for the help we got taking Mum from her house to the care home. Not only did this member of staff help with the move, but she comforted both my Mum and Dad at this difficult time (and me to be honest).
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words.
It was an absolute pleasure to be able to support you and your family during such a difficult and emotional time. Although your mum's stay with us was very short, it was a genuine privilege to care for her and to support...
A thoroughly relaxing and caring experience with most likeable and helpful staff. Unfortunately the activity member of staff was away so the memory of activities is limited. The room used with a comfortable bed, chair, TV etc. was most pleasant. Would have preferred a female assistant when taking a shower.
Thank you very much for your lovely review about our team. I'm so pleased to hear that your experience felt relaxing and caring, and that you found the staff likeable and helpful. Creating a calm, welcoming environment where people feel comfortable and well supported is always our aim. It's nice to...
The only reason I have moved him is because the area/lounge was very crowded, there was nowhere to go privately with him, his room was small & he did not have his own shower.
I am so pleased to read that you felt your husband received excellent care during his time at Bramley House. Caring for someone with severe dementia who requires full support with personal care and mobility is a significant responsibility, and I am very proud that our team ensured he was always...
Moving into care hasn't always been easy for Mum, which is completely understandable, but Anna, Dianne and the whole team have been incredibly kind, patient and reassuring throughout the transition, not just for Mum but for us as a family too. Their experience and genuine care really show.
Whenever I visit, the home feels warm and welcoming. The rooms and facilities are clean and well looked after, and it's lovely to see residents enjoying freshly prepared meals together. We're very grateful to all the staff for their ongoing support, communication and compassion. It gives us real peace of mind.
I know what a difficult decision it must have been for you and your sister after caring for your mum at home for so many years. The love and dedication you've shown her is...
I have nothing but praise for Bramley House. The staff go out of their way to keep an elderly gentleman as happy and motivated as possible, and make family and friends more than welcome during visits. On the one hand there is care, patience and concern for the infirm; on the other, when appropriate, there's cheerful, no-nonsense cajoling and hilarity. Over Christmas and New Year, the party atmosphere deserves special mention with Chef Liam preparing excellent festive meals to family members for the price of a voluntary donation. Tricia the Activities Queen drove the festivities forward with irrepressible energy and enthusiasm, the senior management team labouring furiously to keep everything running smoothly backstage with their army of devoted carers. All this spearheaded by Anna the manager under whose leadership the staff rise to any occasion, devoting long hours of individually tailored care to their charges.
We are truly grateful for your kind words and are delighted to hear that your relative has felt happy, supported, and motivated at Bramley House. Creating a warm, welcoming environment for both residents and...
Anna the manageress is extremely helpful. We live some distance from Mere and we tend to arrive at lunchtime and the food the residents have always looks extremely appetizing and as my sister suffers from Coeliac Disease they cater very well for her condition. Its nice to know that she is being cared for well.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind and thoughtful review. We are delighted to hear that Hazel has been a resident at Bramley House for around five years and that you continue to feel confident in the care and support she receives. Supporting people living with dementia is...
Catering is brilliant and a cake was also made when Mum and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with residents and our family and friends.
Thanks to every one at Bramley House xxxx

We had an emergency health problem with my father and needed help at very short notice. I phoned Bramley and with their help, my Dad went into their care. He has now been at the home for approximately 6 weeks and he is very happy.
All the carers there are just amazing. I had my first visit yesterday and the welcome I received was like meeting long lost friends. Everyone there were so professional, caring and thoughtful.
I don't think I have ever been in an atmosphere where everyone seemed so happy at doing their "job". What a wonderful team they are.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We're truly grateful you took the time to share your experience. It means a great deal to know we could support you and your family during a difficult and unexpected time. We're delighted your father has settled in well and is happy here at...
The staff are not only, always on hand but are highly skilled in all emergency treatment should it be needed. I can say this as I had first hand knowledge of an incident where my husband was saved by quick and expert treatment from staff members.
I have had some experience with visiting a variety of Residential Homes and I have no hestitaion in recommending Bramley House as a friendly, caring and very efficiently run home.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It truly means a great deal to the whole team at Bramley House to know that our care and support have made such a positive difference to both you and your husband. We pride ourselves on getting to know each resident and their family as...
Very good staff in the care of my Mother, all very polite and friendly, they spend time talking and sometimes comforting her, also putting up with her mood swings and lack of memory. They encourage her to participate and assist her to visit the grounds and garden.

Bramley House is well-run and management and carers are all competent and friendly. The house is exceptionally clean and tidy. All residents are continually spoken to and encouraged to react and participate. The atmosphere in the care home is light, friendly and positively caring. The home-cooked food is well-balanced and suited individually to each resident. Family visitors are welcome to have drinks and food free of charge. All in all, the home is absolutely to be recommended.
Dear Alison,Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review of Bramley House. We are so pleased to hear that you find the home well-run, friendly, and welcoming, and that your sister is cared for in a way that promotes dignity, comfort, and...
My mother moved into Bramley House recently and we have been delighted with the high level of care which she has received. We were allowed to decorate her bedroom with pictures and furniture to make it feel like home and the staff and managers have all been very warm in welcoming her. She requires extra assistance with manoeuvring and dressing and the staff are highly trained in using the appropriate hoists. The food and activities have been great and generally there is a very friendly team spirit amongst the staff and managers. We feel very relieved with her move to Bramley House.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. It means a great deal to all of us at Bramley House to know that your mother has settled in well and that you've felt reassured by the care and support she's received. Creating a space that feels like home is something we deeply value, so we're...
Bramley House is comfortable, it is warm, feels like home and very clean.
All the staff are warm, friendly and well trained and discreet.
I hope my husband will have a long stay at Bramley House
Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience at Bramley House. We are delighted to hear that your husband feels welcomed and well cared for and that our team has made his stay comfortable. Providing a warm, homely and high-quality environment is at the heart of what we do...
My mother has been there for over 10 years. She has been looked after mostly but she had a bad fall unnecessarily, leaving a bad scar on her face. Recently I visited with my sister, her hair had not been washed and her shoes had holes in their soles. We were not alerted. The carpet in her room, which is tiny (same price) is completely worn out and rucked so it is a trip hazard. I am not impressed by this home.
Thank you for your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your concerns and appreciate the opportunity to respond and provide clarity. Your mother's care and comfort are our highest priorities. Personal care is provided daily, and our records confirm this is consistently upheld. Regarding her...
I can't praise Bramley House enough in the care of my mum in her last few weeks of her life. The care they gave to my mum and myself was second to none. Thank you so much. The staff were forever on hand to give me the support when I needed it.
Thank you so much for your kind words. All the team here at Bramley House are truly sorry for your loss, it really meant a lot to us all to be able to support you and care for your mum during such a difficult time.
The Bramley House team looked after our mum for nearly two years after - aged 96 - she was no longer safe in her own home. She was very well treated and cared for with great compassion during this period, particularly in her final months. We are very grateful to them.
It's heartwarming to hear such positive feedback regarding the care your mum received with us here at Bramley House. It was a privilege for us to have had your mum here with us for the past two years, and to have been able to ensure she was safe and well cared for during that time. We would like to...
I have no hesitation in recommending this home for either permanent or respite care. I have worked in many residential homes and Bramley House is worthy of high praise for all aspects of service!
Thank you so much for your glowing recommendation and for the privilege of being able to care for your father here at Bramley House. We are truly thankful to receive such praise from someone who, themselves, has worked in residential care.
I am so grateful to all the staff at Bramley House for their care, kindness, compassion and professionalism in looking after my father until he died. Without exception, they were respectful, gentle and calm in all their dealings with him and patient and courteous to the family. All his personal and medical needs were met in a timely manner and we could not have wished for a more peaceful end. Thank you all.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are deeply touched by your kind words, and to have had the opportunity to care for your father over the past year. At Bramley House, our priority is to provide compassionate and professional care to all our residents and...
