Friendly, homely environment, caring staff who always greet Mother by her first name on arrival and try their best to accommodate her in the same room, so it is as familiar to her as possible.
There appears to be a lot of activities planned and the garden with the chickens is a delight and kept in wonderful order.
Mother does enjoy her respite visits and appreciates the kindness of all who care for her, which is very reassuring when we leave her.
Bramley House has recently been a star in helping us out in an emergency at home.

A very big thank you to all.

When visiting, the staff are very friendly and helpful with a positive attitude.
A good degree of interaction between staff and residents. The house and gardens are always well kept.

In my opinion, a well-run home and my uncle appears to be happy there.

My mum is really happy at Bramley House. Over the last couple of years, she had been in four different homes because she's been in and out of hospital a few times and needed a bit of time to recover after each visit but up until now she always wanted to go back home as soon as she got a bit better. But Bramley House is different and my mum really feels at home there.

The staff can't do enough to keep her happy and its always really clean and tidy and smells fresh with a lovely garden and even chickens and always plenty going on. Mum says she wants to stay there and I feel really confident that she'll be really well looked after.

My father came into Bramley House over Christmas and New Year for respite care. During the time he was there the staff were wonderful and could not be more friendly and helpful. He also enjoyed the food very much, along with all the different things that were put on over the festive period. He had a very nice, bright, modern and well-furnished bedroom, which reflected the rest of Bramley House and its standards.

I visit my father regularly and at all times the staff are positive, caring and respect each resident as an individual. The facilities are very good, the staff are a great team of people and we are extremely happy with the level of care my father receives.

My mother's very happy at Bramley House where she is near to so many of her friends in the area. Care is excellent, staff so patient and kind and the atmosphere is lovely. The only meal is breakfast, which isn't so good. Mum says her porridge and tea are nearly always cold and when she asked to have muesli, this was not on offer. Why is the tea at breakfast cold when it's always hot at every other time? Also, 6 am is too early for a first drink Mum says! Also, she says too much cream in food, otherwise it is wonderful.

Reply from Kristie Chubb, Registered Manager at Bramley House

Thank you for your review. I was very pleased with your response but concerned about the breakfast not being quite up to standard. I have spoken to the Cook today and Muesli is on offer for all. Choices are offered daily and there are many varieties of cereal to choose from as well as hot breakfast...

The care staff at Bramley are exceptionally good at their job. They know their residents and are always there to make them comfortable and "at home" as much as possible.

The staff are willing to explore ways of assisting residents to go on trips and outings suggested. Visitors are always made welcome. When it is time for me to be looked after I will be hoping to get the sort of first-class care that is given here.

Before choosing Bramley House I visited about five other care homes in this area. Bramley House struck me as being as close to being one's own home as possible with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly caring staff. I visit twice a week on a variety of days and times and have always been impressed most positively.

The most striking thing is the friendliness and goodwill of all the staff. Mum is very well cared for, her room is clean and always tidy and nothing is ever an effort.

As mum is chair bound they always bring her down to the activities and for lunch if she wants. Friends and relations are made welcome at all times. Over the last 4 years, I have found nothing to complain about. Very good!!

While a resident of Bramley House he was treated with dignity and warmth. He was always well turned out, relaxed and cheerful no matter what time or day you went to see him. Staff and management were always available to answer our queries.

The care home had a feeling of homeliness eg. Fresh flowers, lovely home cooked food and resident cat and dog. On his passing, the staff's understanding and compassion continued to be extended to the family.

Mum spent her final 7 months in Bramley House and on every visit we were so impressed by the welcome we received and how well she was being looked after. Her room was always clean, bedding and clothing washed regularly and a good choice of food.
As her condition deteriorated her care was seamlessly adapted to meet her changing needs and we were regularly updated.
The management and staff are a really special team - creating a genuinely happy, jolly and homely atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble, always hard working but very approachable.
We regularly saw residents participating in organised activities, and we now have some lovely photos of mum taken by the staff enjoying Christmas lunch and blowing out the candles on her birthday (89th) cake.

It was such a relief to us that mum was so well looked after but we would also like to mention that we regularly saw, and heard staff, spending time with other residents, patiently dealing with sometimes quite challenging situations.

My wife went into Bramley House in November of 2016. She has settled in very well, mainly due to the staff being so friendly and helpful. I cannot speak too highly of them. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and well prepared. The accommodation is very comfortable. She is so much happier now than when she was at home. Which makes me feel that I made the right decision in putting into such a lovely place.

I am delighted with the help and support that mum receives at Bramley House. Mum had become a challenge at her previous home but the lovely staff at Bramley House turned her life around in just a few weeks. It is a pleasure to spend time there with her and I know she enjoys the food and activities. Thank you, Bramley House!

My mother has been at Bramley House for around 4 months. During that time nothing has been too much trouble for the staff in their efforts to make her feel at home - and she is more content and 'well' now than she has been for quite a few years. Bramley House's level of care, kindness and attention to detail has impressed me from day one and I feel extremely positive about my mother's future there.

My grandmother has been a resident at Bramley House since 2014 following the hard decision that she could no longer support herself at home. Bramley House is an exceptional homely home. It is clean and lovely, bright rooms with plenty of space. The staff at Bramley House are just wonderful. Very caring and nothing is too much trouble, they listen to the needs of its residents. Could not thank them enough and all the support they give to both my grandmother and us as a family.

Moved my mother here from "sheltered" flat in July. She had started to have repeated panic attacks and spent most of her time in bed. Refused meals and was generally unhappy and lonely. Since moving to Bramley House she has had no panic attacks, eats everything (all freshly cooked) in the dinning room. Participates in afternoon activities with the activities manager and watches tv in the evenings in the lounge with her friends. The home is just great and turned her life around, Encourages her to dress and get up, help with her clothes and shower. Mix and enjoy what time she has left. Cannot praise them enough all the staff are good.

My father was fortunate enough to be moved to Bramley House. I have found the staff to be always very helpful, considerate and caring, prepared to put themselves out even in small ways. The standard of care given to my father is excellent. I would highly recommend Bramley to anyone.
