After putting our safeguarding concerns in writing to the manager of the home, no attempt has been made to contact us or reassure us of any improvements the home has made in the way our mother is being supported. During visits it is apparent a lack of staff is leading to areas of the building being unmanned, exposing residents to vulnerabilities in the event of a fall or need for medical assistance. Our experiences observe a failure to properly document falls or injuries. Staff don't always wear name badges making it harder to identify who we have spoken to! Our mother has been able to remove cuttlery from the dining room which went unnoticed by staff. We have witnessed the tea trolley being left in the corridor unattended on several occasions. We continue to witness residents sitting in lounges unstimulated by music, television or any tactile resources. Residents wander into people's rooms removing items with little interaction from staff. A complaint has been made to CQC.

Following a major stroke, my wife came to Canning Court Care Home on May 15th 2022 and has received the best possible care from all of the staff and management.

None of the staff pass her room without a cheerful 'hello' or joke. I often arrive to the sound of my wife and staff laughing very loudly.

My wife had a stroke at Easter 2021 and as a resident needed a high level of care. I was recommended to Canning Court Care Home in Stratford-upon-Avon but concerned as they seem to specialise in people with dementia, however, after ten weeks, I can confirm that the level of care has been extremely high. My wife is happy and always telling me how good the staff are, so well done Bupa.

My wife has been a long term resident at this home, never have I had cause to complain. Since lockdown with its problems, management have provided a monthly review of all they are doing to contain the situation; the staff advise you by phone how residents are getting on, provide regular photos of resident and activities, and when I had an accident at home all signed a card, wishing me the best - what more can one say.

As my husband is unable to walk and has dementia, I feel his care and medical aid is very important. He is well looked after in both these fields. He is taken into the dining room and lounge area so that he can meet and see other people, which I find very important.

As the Registered Manager of Canning Court, I oversee the day to day running of the home, ensuring high quality care, regulatory compliance, and a safe, welcoming environment for both residents and staff. I am committed to maintaining strong clinical and care routines, supporting my team, and ensuring that families feel informed, involved, and confident in the care their loved ones receive.

I bring nearly two decades of leadership experience within the care sector, having worked across a range of homes throughout the Midlands. My career began as a Healthcare Assistant, and over the years I have progressed through senior roles including Registered Manager, Regional Manager, and Operations Director. Person centred care is at the heart of everything I do. I believe that outstanding care comes from empowered staff, open communication, and a home environment where every resident’s individuality, dignity, and wellbeing guide our decisions and practice.
