This purpose-built facility is newly refurbished throughout with modern living and dining areas.

The new layout suits adults with residential dementia and nursing dementia needs. The sensory and courtyard gardens help residents enjoy the scenic location whilst bedrooms provide comfortable and stylish accommodation, complete with ensuite bathrooms and flat screen TVs.

Food preferences are discussed on arrival, as the home looks to ensure meals are nutritious and suited to dietary requirements. Residents can eat in comfortable dining rooms, the privacy of their own bedrooms or while welcoming visitors.

The activities programme is designed to embrace personal choice and interests, with many events and scheduled entertainments on the calendar, as well as regular trips and outings. Friends and family are always welcome to visit and join in.

I have seen my mum treated with care, consideration, dignity and great empathy. Staff have taken the time to get to know the things my mum likes to do. Although visits during lockdown have not been what would have been in normal circumstances, staff have gone to great lengths to ensure visits are as
good as they can be and are more than happy to discuss anything about my mum's care and how she is doing. I have found communication to be appropriate, always informed of any specific events concerning my mum.

I want to pass on most sincere and heartfelt thanks to all at Canning Court for your amazing response to Covid-19 and the way you continue to put the safety and wellbeing of residents before your own. The way you have to adjust to changing rules, guidance and requests – testing, PPE, vaccinations, handling
visits with all the associated added testing, safe pods, window visits etc etc is amazing. I fully understand the stresses you and all your staff are under, having to balance resident care, staff safety and at the same time deal with family needs, and I thank you for all you are doing.
Mum could not be in a better place – truly her caring 'home'. Dad, who understandably misses her greatly (after 70+ years of marriage and following 4+ years of daily visits since she was first admitted) but is also extremely grateful for all the staff, who over the years, have taken him into their ‘family’ at Canning Court.
You are all heroes.

My mother has dementia and other health issues and can be very challenging. All the staff at Canning Court have been absolutely brilliant with her. The nursing staff look after her incredibly well and know when she needs additional pain relief or whether something else is brewing. The kitchen and dining
staff always make sure my mum drinks and eats plenty. The cleaning staff also spend a lot of time with the residents, sitting and talking with them. Like most care homes there is always a movement of staff but all the staff I have met, whether employed or agency, have been lovely and I cannot fault the care that my mother receives.

My mother came to Canning Court BUPA home via Social Services based in the hospital in July 2019. Her social worker had arranged the transfer from hospital where she was based.
It's hard to know just how much my mother is actually understanding as she has vascular dementia but she seems to be content
and people talk to her with affection. She is as well as she can hope for.

Canning Court has offered an excellent standard of care at times but it is not always consistent. However, I am encouraged by new management's approach to dealing with any concerns. There is an atmosphere of willingness to listen and a genuine desire to improve.

Terrible, bland fatty, carbohydrate food. Missing front tooth, containing a large percentage of gold. Missing watch. No jug for water in the room. No help with TV. No TV controller. Wearing an old man's cardigan. Not being dressed in her own clothes. Clothes missing. Sticky floor in the room. No hearing
aid. For a Bupa property care home I am shocked and appalled by its performance. It has taken 9 months so far to get a hearing test.

Lovely and very committed staff. Residents are very well cared for and my stepfather loves it there. Staff know how to improvise and seem very happy to work there. I cannot fault it.

Canning Court is a very good care home. However, the main problem is staff. The turnover of staff is unbelievable- sometimes a new employee only staying for a couple of shifts. Agency staff are used more than permanent staff which is not good for the continuing care of dementia patients. The staff that
are there are excellent.

We have encountered the greatest kindness and consideration in the care of my mother. At all times she has been treated with dignity and respect and her changing needs have been addressed promptly and efficiently. We never have any contact with office management. My mother always says she is happy here
when asked and we can see she is calm and feels safe.

My mother is extremely deaf and this can create a problem in her understanding unless her hearing aids are put in and checked that they are working. This must be a priority for her. Activities are very limiting due to hearing problems. Overall, we are happy with the home.

Moved our mother into Canning Court Nursing Home in early 2016 (she is 85, diagnosed Alzheimers). She had previously been in a care home in Alcester. The team are great. Our mother is happier at Canning Court - she is eating better, she is cleaner, she has made new friends and she gets more stimulation.

Took a while for my mother to settle in. Staff seem very friendly. Facilities okay, would like to see more residents outside getting some fresh air occasionally. Need to keep relatives informed about hospital appointments etc more. On the whole, a good service.

Having looked at several homes for my Aunt we were delighted to find Canning Court. We were shown around by very helpful and friendly staff making a difficult decision much easier for us.


My Aunt has now been in the home for several months, she has settled and appears to be looked after extremely

well.


It is a great comfort to know that she is safe and is being cared for by caring staff.

Canning Court is an excellent care home which has looked after my mother extremely well in the 3 1/2 years she has been a resident at the care home. My mother has dementia and Canning Court specialises in the care of residents with dementia. They have been especially good in adapting as her condition
worsens over time. They are very proactive and always looking ahead to the next phase of care. When I was looking for a care home for my mother I looked at many care homes and none gave me the same good feeling as Canning Court.


The only downside is the cost. I know all care homes are expensive, but Canning Court is at the very top end of the scale and as such my mother's quite substantial funds soon disappeared and she has moved onto Council Funding. It is worth saying that that change of funding has had no impact on quality of care.


Even allowing for the costs I know I made the correct decision to choose Canning Court and as such would have no hesitation in recommending Canning Court.

My mother has been a resident at Canning Court since it opened. In that time, the manager has changed several times and staff have moved on. I have been in discussions many times about the care of my mother which in the past was to say the the least, challenging. Both from the care and communication
with members of staff and management.
Over the past 2/3 years things have improved in both these areas. The nurses, carers, cleaning staff and catering have improved. They are all hard working. Caring and open to discussion. Some have worked at Canning Court for several years and they are a welcome sight. The staff seem to have a good working relationship and it shows in their easy caring manner and sense of humour.
Improvements are slowly taking place and I believe that Canning Court is a comfortable and often comforting place to live.

I’ve worked for Bupa since 2016, and have been the home manager at Canning Court since December 2021. I started working in social care as a support worker for adults with Autism and learning disabilities, which I loved.


I progressed through the company and managed a service in Milton Keynes, which supported adults to live independently. After a while though, I missed the community feel of a care home, the residents and working in a team.


I live in a village just 25 minutes from the home with my husband, our son and daughter, our working cocker spaniel and 2 chickens! I love being outside, running and keeping fit and all kinds of food, but especially chocolate!

I have been a Chef within Fine Dining and hotels. All around various places including Middle East, France, Spain and Ireland.


In my spare time I enjoy walking and dining to various places.

Job Title: Receptionist Joined: 2024

I have worked in Care Homes since 2009. I serve as the first point of contact for all residents, families, staff and visitors who come into the home. I especially enjoy greeting and meeting all the new furry friends who come to the home from time to time.


I joined Canning Court because Bupa has an outstanding reputation and puts not only their residents first, but their staff too. Bupa have put me through my apprenticeship Business Administration Level 3 which I'm currently working on and they ensure to give me the support I need to succeed in this apprenticeship.


In my spare time, I have 3 lovely cats at home which I love spending my time with. 2 of those cats were rescued from Cyprus and 1 from a Coventry horse farm. To un-wind, I enjoy binge watching TV series and spending time with my husband.

I have worked at Canning Court since 2024.


My previous roles have included , HR, accounts, partnerships account manager, and events and fundraising manager. I have always enjoyed people engagement at all levels and helping where I can, to ensure others are looked after and happy.


I have two sons and four grand daughters who keep me busy and I enjoy reading and holidays.

I have worked at Canning Court since 2018 as a Registered Nurse. I have been in Nursing for 44 years. I ensure the highest quality care is given to all residents within my care.


In my spare time, I enjoy reading, allotments, animals and going out to various places to view like castles, abbeys etc.

Job Title: Registered Nurse Joined: 2022

I completed nursing training in India and started my career as an ICU nurse there and in Saudi Arabia, where I worked in adult ICU. Following this, I moved to Wales in 2020 where I worked as nurse. I enjoy working in care services as I enjoy supporting residents and working as a team.


I live within walking distance from Canning Court with my husband and little daughters. My son will be coming over from India to join us soon and I am so excited for this. In my spare time I enjoy spending it socialising with my family and friends.

I joined Canning Court’s team in 2017 and have been a Senior Health Care Assistant since 2020. I love helping and supporting our residents. I have a huge passion towards caring for people.


I live very close to Canning Court and have a son. I am originally from Poland and moved to the UK in 2005. I have hobbies such as crafts, crochet and reading.

I have worked for Bupa since 2013. I enjoy working here as I work with a really good team.


I have a son, daughter and a grandson. In my spare time I like spending time with them and socialising with my friends.

I have 25 years experience in maintenance. I have worked at Canning Court since 2023.


You'll see me around the home doing various jobs. I oversee fire safety and health and safety within the home.


In my spare time, I enjoy fishing.
