My Mother Maureen has been a resident at Tallis house for 1 year, and I have to say the care and standard of hygiene is impressive. My mother settled very quickly and the link on social media allows us to see her happy and content. Activities are arranged on a weekly basis, and the staff are always on hand to help and assist residents in a caring manner.
It's wonderful to know that the social media updates help you stay connected and see your mother happy and content,.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will be shared with our staff.
I would definitely recommend Yallis House.
Thank you Georgina and your Team for working hard and committing to your job! It shows!

Your king words about the team mean a great deal, and we'll be sure to share your feedback with the team. It's especially reassuring to hear that you've noticed improvements...
I have always been dealt with professionally on telephone or face-to-face. I receive updates on activities and have certainly been in home on occasions and sat and listened or involved ie singing 1960's music, and aiming a ball trough a net, colouring and cards. The staff are always on duty and area is covered at all times. The staff are very caring whilst placing patients in wheelchairs, getting them out of their armchairs and chatting to them. I am very pleased that when I was offered this home, I could not have wished for anything better for my aunt.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience at Tallis House, i will pass on your lovely comments to the rest of the team.
All members of staff were amazing and very caring and our mum enjoyed her stay there immensely. As a family we were so impressed with the standard of care and the cleaniness of the home.
Nothing was too much trouble and when changes were made to mums medication it was dealt with immediately.
Mum was always clean and well presented and all her needs were met.
We got to know everyone there, staff, residents and residents family and it felt like being part of a bigger family.
It was a very relaxed atmosphere and we enjoyed our visits sitting in the cafe with endless supply of tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes. We were always made to feel very welcome.
We are going to miss everyone but we will be taking mum back for visits which we are looking forward to.
We can not thank the team at Tallis House enough. You are all first class and deserve our 5 star rating.
Thank you for a lovely review, i will pass on your lovely comments to the staff.

I feel that they cater for the residents needs in a respectful way. If there are problems I know I can approach them and it is dealt with asap. Medication is given with the correct procedure as in making sure they take them. If alarms go off they are there straight away to deal with it. My relative who resides there can be awkward at times but the staff make them feel comfortable and also try to get them to interact with others. The only negative part is there needs to be another couple of staff on ground floor to help in the really needy times ie. Straight after tea times when there are lots of personal needs. My relative is happy and that's good as we thought that they would never get used to being in a home. Well done team Tallis x

Even when she ended up being cared for in bed, she was treated with great care and dignity - She passed away in her bed peacefully. Thank you Tallis House.
On behalf of the whole team, thank you for writing this review, Their commitment to caring for all the residents in the home is both a privilege and a joy for us all. Your mother was a warm person with an impressionable personality and wonderful smile, she will be greatly missed by all the team here. I will pass on your lovely comments to the team.
It was with great hesitation that Dad had to have 24-hour care. Tallis House is most definitely the best care home for Dad's care needs. From the moment Dad arrived we were welcomed by a smiling face and a happy-to-help receptionist. I can honestly say that Tallis House has been the best decision I've made for my dad. The carers are welcoming and made him feel right at home with happy faces, caring nature, empathy, patience and understanding of all Dad's care needs. Constantly checking on Dad and making him tea. Dad loves the food, and I can bring Dad treats anytime for him. From receptionist, carers, management and the whole team on Dad's floor the care is outstanding. Nothing is too much for them. Tallis House is modern, bright, clean and welcoming and the dinners are freshly cooked on-site and Dad definitely enjoys them. I'm so pleased with the care my dad is receiving and continues to receive. I have no fears when I leave after visiting my dad because I know he's in excellent care.
Hi Tracy. Thank you for a lovely review, we are so glad that Dad has settled in at Tallis House, I will pass on your lovely comments to the rest of the team.
Sadly my mother passed away last night at the age of 95. However, I wanted to say how massively grateful I am, and have been for the past 3.5 years, to all of the staff at Tallis House for the way they took care of her during her time there. She came to the home after a bad experience in a previous care home, she was active and able to look after herself but had become vulnerable due to falling quite a lot in her own home and it was time to be somewhere with 24/7 care. During her first 2.5 years she was extremely happy with both the social activities and friends she made in the home and loved all the staff, sadly as Alzheimer's progressed she was in need of more care but the care team quickly identified the best support and provided me with frequent updates and recommendations. During the last few months of her life and especially the last two weeks, the care given by the team cannot be faulted. a most sincere thank you to all of the staff.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a lovely review for Tallis House, it was a pleasure to care for your mum. We will be sure to pass your lovely comments over the team.
Thanks to everyone there.
Thank you for a lovely review, I will pass on the wonderful comments to all the staff.

Meet the Team (3)

I began my career with Runwood Homes in 2009. I started as a carer in Tallis House, care team leader, deputy manager and now I’m a home manager. My ethos in my role is that with great teamwork, we can achieve anything for our residents and their families, and all our staff members contribute to the success of our home. Our residents are at the centre of everything we do at Tallis House.

My name is Grace, and I am one of the Deputy Managers at Tallis House. I began my journey with Runwood in 2017, returned in 2023, and have been proud to work here ever since. I love working with a fantastic team, improving the quality of life for our residents, and embracing the fact that every day brings something new and exciting.
I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, as well as an Access to Nursing and Midwifery Diploma. A fun fact about me is my obsession with sausage dogs—they’re my absolute favourite!
In my spare time, I enjoy watching crime documentaries, going ghost hunting, and spending quality time with my family.

Hi, I’m Catherine, the Home Administrator for Tallis House, where I’ve proudly worked for 14 years. I truly enjoy being part of such a dedicated team, connecting with residents, and getting to know their families.
I hold an NVQ in Administration and have a quirky habit of turning random sentences into songs! Outside of work, you’ll often find me exploring new restaurants and indulging in great food.
