Both my parents have spent time in Tallis House. Overall the staff are lovely. The manager on the other hand is stand-offish and always appears to be outside smoking.
The standard of the food provided is dreadful, I have witnessed first hand the food provided and it is lawful.
Finally, there is a distinct lack of entertainment for all residents. My father was on the second floor and spent all day sitting in front of the telly watching the news. Dementia patients need stimulation and interaction. I believe there is a cinema room not once in 2 years has this ever been used.

For some residents the staff and other residents are the only people that interact with, surely it wouldn’t take a lot to run bingo sessions or arrange a sing-a-long once in a while.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this review. I am sorry to hear that you had a negative experience within our Home. We take all concerns regarding the quality of our service provision very seriously and we apologise for falling short in stimulation activities including other issues...

It was a difficult decision to put our mum in a home. When we visited Tallis Houe many of our worries were immediately dispelled. The rooms are clean, airy, a good size and well-equipped. All of the staff are, without exception, polite, caring and friendly with residents and relatives alike. There are plenty of activities for residents and visits from local schools etc. The residents can sit back and enjoy life as everything is provided.

The care and love shown to my friend in the last 18 months of her life was exceptional. With the onset of dementia, the care given added to her life and enabled her to be able to enjoy life in the best possible way. Cannot thank the staff enough, in all aspects.

My Dad had dementia, the care that the staff give is marvellous and so kind. Weekends less staff I would suspect ti have more staff but the level of care that everyone gives is really good.

My aunt has been in this care home for over a year now, through all the covid lockdown, and I have to say that through all of this, I have been extremely satisfied with her care. The senior management have been so helpful and equally the carers on her floor have always been very caring and supportive to her needs. I cannot fault them. When I visit (which is quite often) I always feel I am in a very happy atmosphere. Thank you for looking after her with love and care.

On regular visits to Tallis House, we always see the devotion and outstanding care that all of the staff give to their residents. The manager, nurses, care staff and housekeepers are superb, always smiling and friendly. We have observed all of the staff working tirelessly at all times. Communication from Tallis House to us is second to none. Our dad is settled and very happy with his surrounding, and although often confused, is always reassured by all staff members. Well done, and thank you!

My father arrived at Tallis House on the 12th of March. Seeing as he has only been there for 5-days, I can't give too much feedback, but after visiting on Monday, my first and continued impression is very good.

Its been wonderful for the residents to have a visitor again this month and to see the staff again that have worked so hard to keep the residents safe and well. We would highly recommend Tallis House. Since our friend moved into the home, he has been looked after so well, in every aspect, and is very happy there.

Mum has been in Tallis House since January 2020. She has thrived since she has been there, she has put on weight, her personal hygiene has improved, and most importantly, she has not been il while she has been there, despite her dementia. I truly believe if she has still been at home, she would not be with us now.

Mom went into Tallie House from the hospital in September 2020 - so was fantastic to see Mom inside Tallis House after such a long time. The staff were all very friendly and approachable. Mum was very happy to see me and has settled in very well. We had a great time catching up, and I'm looking forward to weekly visits. Tallis House was clean, bright and welcoming.

Due to circumstances beyond anyone control, this was my first visit to the home. The staff had put in a great deal of effort into welcoming visitors and made the visits pleasant for everybody. My mother looked very well, and I was impressed with everything I saw. It would not be proper to comment on all the options, as I don't have first-hand experience of everything listed.

My uncle has been in Tallis House for a short period of time. I have visited the home several times to drop goods for my uncle, and I have to say, whatever member of staff I have engaged with at the entrance or spoken to on the phone have been kind, helpful and very efficient and communication has been great. I had my first visit today, and I am extremely pleased with the care and support he is receiving; my uncle was very contented. Thank you to all the wonderful staff/carers that are doing an amazing job of keeping him safe along with all the other residents. Thank you all so much for what you continue to do.

A relative came to Tallis House from the hospital so that they could be assessed for future care needs. The staff, at Tallis House, have been excellent. Most notably, four particular members of staff. Thank you for all that you do and for keeping us all informed despite being so very busy. Thank you for looking after our loved ones so well.

This is the most excellent residential home. I have visited others that my close family have lived in, but this is by far the best. It is clean, welcoming and homely, and the staff can't do enough for my mum. The food is excellent. I just can't praise Tallis House enough.
