My mum was in Tallis House for almost 3 years. She was very poorly when she went in and a couple of times after that and their care and nourishment brought her back each time to better health. In her final illness, she was cared for with care respect and dignity. We are truly grateful for all they did for her and cannot thank them enough.

My father was in Tallis House for almost three years, he suffered from dementia. All the staff were very caring and patient with him. Sadly he passed away in November. The staff were very supportive of my mum and myself. Can't speak highly enough of the care they gave and the kindness they showed to my father.

My mum was at Tallis House for a couple of weeks after leaving hospital. Overall I was very happy with the care she received from all staff, who were also very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless and we particularly liked the coffee lounge (nice touch), however, we were glad she was able to return to her home.

When mum arrived in Tallis House it was a breath of fresh air to meet highly professional and caring staff. I have found them all to be very approachable, always candid and honest with us, even when times have been difficult with mums dementia. Mum was extremely well cared for during her two years in the home.

My mother's life was extended after she moved into residence here. Her life at home was lonely and the company, care, food and attention she received at Tallis House by all the staff she came into contact with was just what she needed and this enabled her to achieve the milestone of 100. The staff in the home arranged and organised a celebration for her that the family were able to attend and it was gratifying to see her so happy.
This last few weeks, as her health deteriorated, staff were quick to react and were instrumental in the local GP's regular visits, making her as comfortable as possible as she slipped away peacefully.

Would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone looking for respite or longer-term residency. The management and staff are all first-class and pulling together as a team, generating a truly welcoming, homely atmosphere.

My mother has Alzheimer's and dementia which was extremely difficult for us to manage.

Tallis House has looked after her for over 2 years and has allowed us to get on with our own lives in the knowledge she is being cared for very well and treated with dignity.

Tallis House is a very impressive home. The standard of care is very good and all the carers seem to be very attentive. The home has a very good feel to it and is always kept clean and tidy. It also has a very modern feel to it, which gives an overall impression of somewhere that is well looked after. The experience I have had with the staff are all positive, very polite and personable people. Tallis House has been fantastic for my mum and I have nothing but praise and good words to say about it.

I come in once a month with a team from a local Church, (held in a local school). The welcome we have is amazing and the residents like to join in with old hymns, familiar prayers and listen to a Bible reading or story.

Over the years we have made friends with the residents, and for me, it is always a pleasure to come in and share friendship with them.

From the first day I visited Tallis House I was so comfortable for Mum to be here. Mum was a very private person but accepted everyone and they restored my mum's faith in people. My mum could be bossy and the staff were so accommodating and accepted my mum's ways. The staff just went the extra mile and were sympathetic to her needs. I especially would like to thank one member of staff for being with Mum at the end. What a great, amazing place. When it's my time - I'm coming here too! Thank you, everyone.

Tallis House is an outstanding care home that continues to exceed our expectations. All the staff are fantastic, professional, approachable, warm and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and they make you feel so welcome when you visit. My mother-in-law has become such a more healthy, confident lady since being in Tallis House and it really has been the making of her. I cannot recommend this care home enough, the care service my mother-in-law receives is first class and is worth every penny spent.

Mum went into Tallis House almost 4 years ago. At the time, it was a really difficult decision and time for us as mum was confused about where she was and why she wasn't going 'home'. The staff at Tallis House were excellent in making mum feel at home, taking time to find out about mum's history, her likes, dislikes and all aspects of her life.

We were always fully informed of mum's care and occasionally, if she was poorly, actions that were being taken. The actual home was always clean and tidy with lots of bits and pieces on the walls to encourage the residents to interact and activities undertaken. Whenever, we visited we were always made to feel welcome. We would recommend Tallis House without hesitation.
