Mum was admitted from rehabilitation on Feb 2013. At that time mum had 1 to 1 NHS 100% funding and needed a lot of support. As her cognitive ability improved she settled into the home, joining in with activities. The home lost a lot of staff and retraining and recruiting seemed to be an issue. Mum didn't need a lot of care compared to other clients and over the last year, it had become apparent that the service client group at Richmond were not the same as mum. We decided as she hadn't deteriorated further to try a new home, change of scene, different support structure for mum and dad. Nursing and care all fine at Richmond. Unfortunately, the routine my parents were in wasn't suiting them so we decided to move. I need to add that my mum and dad were content, and cared for very well at the Richmond. My mum's case is very complex and my dad was in a routine which he would have been happy to stay with. However, the rest of the family thought a change would be worth a chance. It really wasn't an easy decision to make. Please let your staff know they are brilliant and the move has nothing to do with anything they didn't do.

I have always found the staff at the care home to be very friendly, helpful and caring. In the past, the home has smelt as you walk in but since the carpet has been replaced there is no awful smell. I have noticed they decorate a lot and the home is always clean. They also keep us informed of any falls, illnesses my mother has.

My mother until her death in May 2018 was looked after with much love caring and compassionate ways I cannot thank the staff enough.

Because of her failing health and mental progression, I found the staff were both patient and considerate of my mother's condition. The final days my mother spent at Richmond Care Home were spent in dignity, care and the utmost consideration of her final departure in this life. I would recommend Richmond Care Home to any of my friends and relatives for future care.

I was apprehensive at first but I need not have worried. Everyone was so warm and friendly. I knew my husband was in the best place. I would recommend it to anyone, even better than I could do for him.

If I had to give marks out of 10 for Richmond care home it would most certainly be 11.

The staff, regardless of their status, are so obliging and caring to every person in their charge. I cannot find words to praise them enough, they are most certainly the best.

After my father-in-law had received next to no help while in hospital, we were really worried about how he would be looked after. After he arrived in Richmond Care Home, the care and compassion he has received have been excellent. Staff are absolutely fabulous and facilities second to none. A real weight off our mind knowing he is being treated so well by staff that really care.

As soon as I walked into the Richmond Care Home I knew I wanted to have my sister staying at this care home. It is bright and spacious. The bedrooms are large with a bathroom which has a wash basin and toilet. My sister is on the first-floor nursing care, the dining room and lounge are nicely furnished. From what I have seen the food is well presented. They are offered drinks in between meals if they want one. The staff are friendly and caring.

I have found all staff very helpful and pleasant. The food is very nice and well presented. The entertainment staff do well but maybe they could have a little extra time to spend with our loved ones. The place is always nice and clean, the domestics really try to make it look nice.

My mum stayed at Richmond for a year before she passed away. I was extremely happy with the care my mum received. The home was friendly, clean and welcoming. The staff were excellent and always helpful. The rooms are nice and food was good. The only negative I have is the laundry, mum often lost clothing and was dressed in other people’s clothes. I would recommend Richmond to anyone needing dementia care.
