My mum has been at Park Hall care home for about 5 years. I feel she is well looked after and the staff are all great. I just wish they were given more resource to spend more time on activities and trips out with the residents, considering the cost when my Mum was self-funded! However, I do understand there has to be paperwork. There does seem an awful lot for the staff, which can get in the way of the time spent doing the actual job.

When I sat down to write this review I tried to think of a few 'buts' to slip in. I mean, "this is nice, but"; '"I like chat, but". I tried, I really did, but I couldn't think of any. There are none. My wife is a resident in the home and she loves it here, she is happy and content, as are all the residents of Lounge 4, which is the area I am familiar with. The carers are all well trained and are also nice and friendly.

This is where I intend to spend my final days.

Mum has her ups and downs but really likes this home and the staff are nice, very good and helpful.

All the staff make Mum smile and treat her very well considering their workload. Food good, Mum says. She's well looked after.

All staff show genuine care towards my dad and other residents. They are treated with respect and dignity. Meals are very good, very frequent, small snacks throughout the day. Environment is very clean and well maintained. Any spillage/accident - quickly cleaned and dealt with. Plenty of entertainment for residents.

My mother was admitted to Park Hall during the summer of 2017 following a stay in hospital. The assessment prior to her admission was carried out sympathetically and communication with myself was excellent. Her care since that time has been very good and she has settled very well. I cannot fault the carers, they are kind, understanding and compassionate, particularly at times when my mother has been quite poorly.

Having worked in a care home setting myself I find that Park Hall is excellent in all areas of service to the residents (service users). The management and staff are very approachable and amicable and friendly, it is home from home and I'm more than happy that my mum is residing here, knowing that she is safe an well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Park Hall to other potential users.

My father has been at Parkhall for over a year. It was the first place I viewed and as soon as I was shown around I was so impressed with the home and the staff. My father was made so welcome by them and was treated with much respect and care.
The home itself is kept lovely and clean by the staff who all take such pride in their jobs, the rooms are spacious and with en-suite. The meals are lovely and plentiful and the carers are so full of care and compassion, It is so obvious that it's more than just a job to them.

I can honestly say from the handyman to the manager all the staff are superb and grossly underpaid in my view.

Staff are receptive to queries and requests in relation to the care of my mother. Management has always sought to iron out any issues in an effective and efficient manner.

My mother has settled well and her health has been maintained in the face of difficulties. It is a relief not to have to worry that she is receiving the care needed in an environment that is safe and comfortable, where she is treated with dignity. Her room which is spacious and clean has a view of the atrium. Overall I would rate the Park Hall care home as good to excellent.

Excellent care home with lovely big en-suite, clean rooms and great atmosphere. No nasty smells. Good, kind, considerate staff.

Management who care about every aspect of resident's lives. They are always helpful in regards to any relative's concerns.

Residents often get taken out for meals and trips. A hairdresser visits weekly.

Would highly recommend this care hom.

Resident only been in Park Hall for the past 4 and a half months. She was made very welcome. Staff always strived to give her the best care and attention which isn't always easy when meeting the needs of people with dementia. She is treated with respect and as an individual. On a day to day basis she is encouraged to be the best she can and maintain some independence. She is given choices and enabled to make decisions. Needs are met as and when they arise. Everything is not perfect, as no life of establishment is, but the home ensures she is safe and secure and is as happy as can be. The family feel the right choice of home was made to meet and care for her needs.
