My father was admitted to this care home in early June with a number of complex issues. The care provided by the nursing team, care assistants and administration staff has been exceptional. We as a family also feel well supported at what has been a very difficult time for us. Communication between ourselves and the home has been excellent.

I would certainly recommend Hempstalls Hall to anyone looking for a care home.

The home is clean, airy and well-appointed. Mum has a room facing an open grassed courtyard. Mum entered the home over a year after the death of our father, as she was not looking after herself despite having carers three times a day, she obviously needed constant supervision.
All staff are concerned about the residents and make sure they are included in all activities. This really helped mum as she was withdrawn and isolated when living alone. Mum is now involved in many activities and enjoys her time at the home. She has also put on weight and looks better. As a family, we now know that she is taking the medications she should, whereas at home she said she was, but wasn't.

Pre-Covid, we were free to see mum any time and I am sure this will be the case in future. Covid has meant changes, the home has ensured all lockdown rules were followed and whilst sometimes it is a hassle to go through all the tests etc before seeing mum, we know she is kept safe as the home follow the rules.

I was there for 8 weeks after a total hip replacement. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. The room was a good size with an en suite bathroom and free wifi. The food was excellent. There is a lovely garden which is convenient for exercise. In spite of the reason for my stay, I found it very enjoyable. I will certainly be back to see them in the future.

My mother has resided at Hempstalls Hall Care Home from March 2020 until February 22nd 2021. Throughout this very difficult Coronavirus lockdown period, she has been very well looked after by the most caring and professional staff.
As a result, mum has put on weight, she rarely scratches at her face and hair which she did before coming to Hempstalls and she has enjoyed the calm, caring sanctuary of this care home. Unfortunately, due to covid-related restrictions mum was not able to take part in social, community based entertainment with other residents but she did enjoy having her hair done on a regular basis. Mum was very happy at Hempstalls.

The reception staff were very helpful it was a pleasure to speak to each of them, knowing that they would ensure that we could speak to mum on the telephone and see her on Skype via a laptop without any fuss. Management staff were also friendly, professional and helpful. We are so sorry that mum no longer resides at this remarkable care home.

I can’t speak highly enough of Hempstalls Hall. Mum has been a resident for 12-months, and she’s had no complaints. The senior management runs this home extremely efficiently; it’s clean and tidy, and the staff are all caring and friendly to the residents. My mum loves her room and enjoys the food. I’m very much at ease knowing Mum is well cared for. As a family, we can’t thank them enough.

Very welcoming home with excellent communication from all the staff since my father became resident at the height of the pandemic in spring 2020. The garden provides an attractive calming area for the residents.

The staff have provided a sterling service during a particularly difficult time; I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home. Activities are limited due to the pandemic hence my review.

At this difficult time for us all, the home is doing its best to keep the 'new' normal in place. We feel our dad still has the same high level of care and attention he always has had. The visits carry on in the best way they can and are always a happy 30 minutes in a day. Thank you to you all.

I spent two weeks in Hempstalls Hall Care Home, recovering from hip surgery. The care and support I received was excellent. I would not have recovered to this extent without their assistance. I was treated by everyone with care and respect. The only downside is due to the excellent food, I have now I'm sure, gained a little weight. A wonderful team.

My wife and I researched and visited several care homes in Stoke on Trent to find one suitable for respite care for my mother whilst we went on holiday. We were very pleased when we found Hempstalls Hall and decided to place my mother in their care. Our decision was a very good one as they looked after her extremely well during her stay there. We have now placed her in there again for a further respite stay, as we were lucky that they had a vacancy.

My husband has had 9 days of respite care while I had some time away having a break. He has been very happy ad content whilst here. The care and kindness during this time have been fantastic. I have not had any worry about him at all. We would both be happy for him to stay here again and would recommend to anyone. All staff 5 stars.

The care and attention provided by all staff to meet my dad's needs during his stay have been excellent. Dad enjoyed the good range of stimulating activities provided, from musical entertainment, singing, dancing, physical exercise, crafts to trips out. The care team clearly understand his needs and showed the utmost respect and dignity in their support. At mealtimes, there is a lovely varied and plentiful choice provided. A warm welcome from smiling faces was experienced on every visit from all staff. Lovely, well-equipped bedrooms and outside gardens giving a calming space for residents.

Hempstalls Hall took my father with 24 hours notice. When we arrived the room was ready and very welcoming. During the month he was a resident all the staff were kind, friendly, helpful and my father was always treated with dignity. He didn't wish to participate in activities but he was always invited to take part. The menu was varied and nicely presented. The attention he received was excellent and I would recommend this home.

My partner, who has Alzheimer's, spent a fortnight at Hempstall Hall where he was very well cared for. Even before he moved in, staff were really helpful and very efficient in setting up the respite stay. I was most impressed by how compassionate and patient everyone was, enquiries or tasks were dealt with in a friendly manner. Although he didn't participate in any of the activities, mostly staying in his room, he was content being in the home. In fact, as a visitor, it was notable that the residents, in general, looked contented.
