The biggest professional challenge in her current role, is working with advanced dementia residents and understanding their challenging individual needs.
Her biggest career highlight to date was being nominated for dignity champion finalist, employee of the year (twice), IIP – Gold, Certificate of Excellence for Outstanding Performance and Dedication – IIP – Gold, CQC inspection – 2018 (dementia unit), Hillingdon Social Services (wall art on dementia unit) and Certificate of Achievement 2018.

Outside of work she enjoys socialising with friends and family, reading, watching films and documentaries, history, arts and crafts and travelling.

My qualifications include an MSc in Internet Application Development, beginner-level Computer Management Systems, 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations, and training in mechanical repairs.
I value the relationships between staff, families, and residents, focusing on improving the quality of life for elderly people. I build connections, make them laugh, and ensure they feel part of a family, providing activities to meet their physical, emotional, and cognitive needs. As a registered nurse with over 40 years of experience, I continue to attend relevant training to improve my performance and stay up to date.
I find it rewarding to make a real difference in residents' lives, supporting the management and care team to enhance their quality of life. I help plan outings, classes, and events, fostering social connections, and take time to chat with residents. I hold a BA in Business Management from Kingston University, London.
