At Sunnyview House, care plans are carefully tailored to provide a high standard of individualised care in a warm and welcoming setting. Residential, nursing and dementia care is available for short or long term requirements.

This purpose-built home offers spacious and comfortable accommodation within pleasant surroundings. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished and have ensuite facilities, while premium bedrooms allow a larger living space with their own front door and garden. Residents have access to a range of facilities such as a cinema and bar, sweet shop, café, a wellness/physiotherapy suite and the internet. Visitors can be welcomed into the homes own social 'hub' areas where refreshments are available.

A delicious menu is provided by the homes experienced chef, who ensures all meals are tailored to individual tastes and requirements. Residents can also enjoy out of hours snacks and drinks from the Bupa Night Bite menu.

An active and social lifestyle is strongly encouraged at Sunnyview and friends and family are always welcome to join in the fun.

Mum was admitted to Sunnyview House in November and very sadly passed away on the 20th of December.
I can’t thank the manageress and her staff enough for all the wonderful care that Mum received at that time. They could not have done more for her, and I and the rest of the family can not praise them
highly enough. They don’t just care for the resident either, because they seemed to wrap their arms around the whole family whenever we visited and made us so welcome.
The love and care that we all felt the day Mum passed away were second to none; they truly are an amazing team. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

My dad was in Sunnyview House for around two and a half years until he recently passed away in November this year after a series of illnesses. It meant so much for Dad and for our family to have the staff support us in such a caring way. Over the past year as Dad became more frail, the staff have become
like family to us, and they did everything they could to make his last days as comfortable as possible,e going over and above to support us all. I cannot thank them enough for everything they did.

Sunnyview House Is such an amazing, friendly, very caring, understanding, accommodating care home. The staff treat everyone like family, they are all close, and all the residents seem very content and at home. They are always arranging very special events for residents and families to come to join in.
The manager and staff are so professional, very communicative and accommodating to everyone. They had a Christmas pantomime this week, it was brilliant, the residents loved it. Their attention to detail, in all aspects with our mum, was above and beyond. Also, the facilities are great; they even have a prayer room. I cannot thank them enough for how happy they have made Mum in her last days. Fabulous. We would recommend them to anyone.

Visited my sister, who has recently moved to Sunnyview and has dementia. We were welcomed by friendly staff, who checked our lateral flow results and kitted us out in our Covid protection clothing. We were impressed with the staff's interaction with the residents, and my sister seems very content and

My mum has been at Sunnyview for several years now.
She has been housed on the 1st floor - dementia care and now on the 2nd floor - nursing care, for her advanced early-onset dementia, and I can honestly say the care home staff are amazing!
The level of care and attention they have always shown
my mum has been second to none, which now, she is unable to communicate is so important for me to know they are looking after her every need.
The care home is always well kept, and standards are high at Sunnyview.
The menu/food here is varied, and the staff really know what the residents like/don’t like and are great at making nutrition a priority.
Very happy that Mum resides at Sunnyview, and am very grateful to all who look after her.

After multiple traumas (falls, breaks, stroke, blindness, loss of mobility, dementia) Mum was admitted to Sunnyview House. My brother, sister and I could not be happier with everything about this facility. Mum is now at the end of her life. The staff are amazing with her and our family. They are genuinely
lovely, caring people - all of them! Even coming in on days off to see Mum knowing she is in her last days. There are no words to express just how wonderful the whole staff are at Sunnyview House. We will be forever grateful.

My mum started living in Sunnyview House in late June 2021. The staff are wonderful. The manager is great and has time for everyone. It is clean and well run. My mum went into Sunnyview for respite care. I was traumatised, to say the least! However, my anxiety quickly abated. The senior staff were great. They dealt with all my frantic questioning with professionalism and kindness.
The whole process was made easier through good information passing at the
appropriate times.
My mum settled well, despite being stressed and anxious. The staff were caring and engaged well with Mum.
She has put a little weight back on, and her condition stabilised.
She was treated with dignity and made welcome. She made connections with staff that were evident to see.
My mum has said should she need full-time care, she would like to go to Sunnyview.

The staff are so friendly; they give the support my grandma's needs. My grandma has come on so much since starting here. The food is excellent, and the way the staff treat my grandma is amazing. My grandma's floor is always spotless and clean.

Sunnyview House Care Home is such a lovely place, we knew it was the right place for my mum as soon as we walked in. Sunnyview House Care Home has got a lovely, warm and friendly feel. All the staff are fantastic and make you feel at home. My mum has been at Sunnyview House Care Home now for sixteen
months now and has settled so well, she always has a smile on her face for the carers. Knowing she is happy and settled and has been well looked after has been such a relief, especially through the lockdown. Can’t thank the staff enough.

Kennedy is a registered Nurse who has got experience in most aspects of nursing including midwifery and is an expert in medication management, Infection control, wound care and palliative care among others.


Kennedy loves being a nurse above all else because nothing comes before a human in need and derives satisfaction from ensuring as well as promoting a good quality of life irrespective of the existing limitations.

I have worked at Bupa for 6 years. Prior to this, I worked for the Alzheimer’s Society for 17 years. I love working in the care sector as helping to enrich residents’ lives is so important to me, as providing them with support and fun in their daily lives.


I am a Mum to 4 grown boys and have my beautiful Grandchildren who are my world. My passion is to make people happy and encourage positivity - I always have fun and entertaining ideas! In my spare time, I love to be social, spend time with my family and visit my dad in Spain.
