At Sunnyview House, care plans are carefully tailored to provide a high standard of individualised care in a warm and welcoming setting. Residential, nursing and dementia care is available for short or long term requirements.

This purpose-built home offers spacious and comfortable accommodation within pleasant surroundings. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished and have ensuite facilities, while premium bedrooms allow a larger living space with their own front door and garden. Residents have access to a range of facilities such as a cinema and bar, sweet shop, café, a wellness/physiotherapy suite and the internet. Visitors can be welcomed into the homes own social 'hub' areas where refreshments are available.

A delicious menu is provided by the homes experienced chef, who ensures all meals are tailored to individual tastes and requirements. Residents can also enjoy out of hours snacks and drinks from the Bupa Night Bite menu.

An active and social lifestyle is strongly encouraged at Sunnyview and friends and family are always welcome to join in the fun.

Mum went in for respite, and we were really anxious about her settling. She was upset, but the staff were great and made her at ease. So far, nothing has been too much trouble for them to help Mum and us.

With real trepidation, my sister and I decided that my mother was no longer capable of looking after herself, so we resourced our options for care. Our concerns were immediately allayed after witnessing the lovely conditions and the fantastic care our mother received from the staff. In particular, her
primary carer has been a massive comfort to us and is brilliant with my mum's needs and care.

A warm, friendly, caring environment with dedicated staff who go the extra mile. Everyone from the catering team through to housekeeping and laundry is so kind, and the care team are wonderful. Mum feels well looked after and often says so. I have also been given a lot of support from staff and always

I cannot praise this care home enough. The change in my father since he went to live there has been a joy to see. The staff are very friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and I can see the relationship they have forged with my dad. They really take the time to get to know the individual, and it’s clear to
see they have forged a close bond with him. I’m kept fully updated on how my dad is doing on a regular basis. When I visit, they all take the time to stop and chat with me about what he’s been doing and how he is generally. I would highly recommend this care home. I think it’s a fantastic place with great, clean facilities, and very caring friendly and experienced staff. Thank you for everything you do for my dad!

My mother-in-law, who suffers from dementia, was admitted during COVID and has received excellent care in spite of the restrictions. The staff are very caring and helpful when answering any questions I have.
I would recommend this care home to anyone who has a relative with dementia.

Very friendly staff, always looked after my grandma very well.
She is a resident on the Carnegie floor. She has quite complex needs, and they have always taken great care when looking after her.
Would recommend it to any family.

My grandma has been at Sunnyview for nearly 3-years and has a range of needs including dementia. I cannot fault the care she has received during this time; the staff are always welcoming and friendly and treat both the residents and their relatives with care and dignity. The home is always clean, and
there seems to be an activity for every occasion to keep the residents entertained! It's a weight off our mind knowing that our grandma is being well looked after, and I can't thank the staff enough.

I have found all the staff friendly and helpful.
My Mmm was admitted during Covid, and this has been a very difficult period for me and the family.
I have arranged a visit now, which I am very much looking forward to; the manager and her staff have been very helpful.

I am generally very happy with the care my mother is receiving in Sunnyview House, although due to the Covid situation, I have only seen her in her room 3 times since she was admitted from the hospital in October. I think much of the activities/services i.e hairdressers are not available because of
Covid. This is not the fault of the care home.

My mum has been at Sunnyview for over two years as she has dementia. The staff are angels. Mum is cared for with dignity and great affection. Sunnyview is a happy home, and that is down to the wonderful staff on the middle floor.

I was worried about coming to a home, but the manager and all the staff have made my stay here very enjoyable. The food is good, and I have a nice room that's cleaned every day. There's always plenty to do. I have been really looked after, and I thank everyone here for all they have done for me.

The wonderful staff have cared for my mum, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, for 3-years since we moved her down from Scotland.


I use the word care because the team really do care for her and about her. During the pandemic, it was such a worrying time for us, and extremely hard on care homes and staff.

Everyone at Sunnyview has been amazing. I don’t like to call out individuals because everyone does such a good job - however, I have to mention one lady, who continuously goes over and above to care for my mum and keep us in touch, and consistent care and attention from folks.

Mum came to Sunnyview to receive end of life care after a long stay in hospital. She has been kept comfortable throughout her stay at Sunnyview and the nursing team have been very responsive to her needs, liaising well with the local GP and palliative services. The carers are, without exception, warm
and kind both with Mum and my sister and I. A cup of tea and snacks have always been on hand during our visits which has been much appreciated. A massive thank you to the whole team, you are amazing.


My only concern really has been for the welfare of the nurses at times, as the job, from an outsiders perspective, is hugely demanding and I have often felt that an extra nurse on the unit would have made the role less stressful and more enjoyable for the staff and would have allowed them to spend more time with their residents.

Whilst my grandmother was only in the care home for a short period the care provided to her was exceptional.
Not only did the staff treat her with great care but maintained her dignity throughout.

Mum was only in the home for 6-days, but in her short time, she was very well looked after and great care was given. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.
The care given by her main carer was exceptional, and she supported not only my mum but, myself and my daughters.

Sunnyview care home is like a hotel, absolutely 5 stars. I hope if anything happens to me and I have to be in a care home - book me in now. The staff are magnificent, you are always sure of a warm welcome. Any issues with my mother, you are informed immediately. The decor, facilities, food and care

My uncle moved into Sunnyview House after suffering a stroke meaning he could no longer live alone.
From the minute he moved in the staff have been nothing but 100% caring and dedicated to him.
The home is spotlessly clean with a range of activities. My uncle did not really participate in them so
I can't comment further on these but I know he did enjoy the visit from the guide dogs!
He enjoyed the food served and the cakes provided by the home are lovely!
Unfortunately, he passed away a couple of weeks ago. The staff at Sunnyview House have been so helpful and kind during this sad time for our family. They will do anything for you and are always happy to help.
I can't recommend this home highly enough.

Kennedy has recently joined the team in his new role as a clinical unit manager which is his first time employment with BUPA.


Kennedy is a registered Nurse who has got experience in most aspects of nursing including midwifery and is an expert in medication management, Infection control, wound care and palliative care among others.


Kennedy loves being a nurse above all else because nothing comes before a human in need and derives satisfaction from ensuring as well as promoting a good quality of life irrespective of the existing limitations.

I have worked at Bupa for 6 years. Prior to this, I worked for the Alzheimer’s Society for 17 years. I love working in the care sector as helping to enrich residents’ lives is so important to me, as providing them with support and fun in their daily lives.


I am a Mum to 4 grown boys and have my beautiful Grandchildren who are my world. My passion is to make people happy and encourage positivity - I always have fun and entertaining ideas! In my spare time, I love to be social, spend time with my family and visit my dad in Spain.
