At Sunnyview House, care plans are carefully tailored to provide a high standard of individualised care in a warm and welcoming setting. Residential, nursing and dementia care is available for short or long term requirements.

This purpose-built home offers spacious and comfortable accommodation within pleasant surroundings. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished and have ensuite facilities, while premium bedrooms allow a larger living space with their own front door and garden. Residents have access to a range of facilities such as a cinema and bar, sweet shop, café, a wellness/physiotherapy suite and the internet. Visitors can be welcomed into the homes own social 'hub' areas where refreshments are available.

A delicious menu is provided by the homes experienced chef, who ensures all meals are tailored to individual tastes and requirements. Residents can also enjoy out of hours snacks and drinks from the Bupa Night Bite menu.

An active and social lifestyle is strongly encouraged at Sunnyview and friends and family are always welcome to join in the fun.

I can't thank all the staff enough at Sunnyview House Care Home for the love, care and support they gave my mum. My mum was at end of life on the 2nd floor and the nurses and carers were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for them. One nurse in particular bonded with mym and this was so comforting
to see. She was brilliant not only with mum but the support she gave to us too. Sunnyview House is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and had lots to offer, beautiful dining rooms, hair salon, entertainment to name a few.
Unfortunately, mum wasn't well enough to make use of these but we assured her it was like living in a 5-star hotel. Eternally grateful to you all.

Mum was only in the care home for a few months until she sadly passed away 03/12/18. In the short time she was there all the staff were pleasant, helpful and caring. Mum did not join in activities nor did she eat due to her illness. A special thank you to my Mum's nurse who kept us up to date with her
honest, caring approach. Thank you to all.

My mother has lots of complex needs, she has cancer, slight dementia and Parkinsons.
The staff have been amazing with her, very caring and understanding and they try to involve residents in activities. Time and understanding is key. All the staff are professional and treat the residents with respect
and dignity. I can't thank them enough. The whole home is trimmed up beautifully for Christmas. Always a friendly face and kind words from all the staff, from office to cleaning.

Beautifully presented home, clean, stimulating but above all caring. Mum had the best of care, nothing was too much trouble. We, as a family did not need to worry about a thing. When mum passed we were offered help with on-going arrangements. A full and proper service. Thank you!

My grandma has only been here a short while but in that time the love, care, support and reassurance given to both her and all of her family is truly amazing. Sunnyview House have been such an understanding care home for dad's needs, they have worked with me to make dad as safe as possible even to the point where he moved floors. He now is the best he has been since Aug. Dad had some terrible falls quite nasty actually but now I am very pleased to say my

Many thanks for letting me be a resident here in such a lovely home. I just love it here, really settled here, it is my home and I'm sure I couldn't find one better. Your staff are so good, to me they are family than work people. I don't like seeing people butting in on them because of their good nature.

Mum has lived in Sunnyview House for over a year now, we have had our ups and downs, good days and bad. Every day is different as mum suffers from dementia so you can imagine the stress me and our family go through. I have spent many hours crying to the care staff and they've been amazing, giving me
advice, support and most of all compassion. Mum is very happy there, if we take her out she is always very keen to get back home. Mum has a fantastic relationship with all the staff.
The home offers a loving and caring environment. It's very clean and does not have 'that smell', they have an excellent entertainment team that keep the residents busy, a hairdresser and a keep fit guy. They have set up a cafe in the home so the families can take their relatives there without having to leave the building, the cafe is free and has the best cakes. I would definitely recommend Sunnyview House. A home from home.

I am the son-in-law of one of the residents in Sunnyview House. I go most weekends to visit her, I can honestly say that since she moved in there, she has got her fight and spirit back. Before she moved in, it looked like we were losing her, no conversation really but now even though the conversations
are muddled, it does not matter as she chats away with a big cheeky smile on her face. She has the best relationship with the staff, they laugh and joke with her. Her diet is very complicated as she has numerous allergies and medical things going on but with the help of the staff, they have created a special menu with numerous options on. The home looks the part, it's clean, lovely furniture and great cafe.
The room my mother-in-law has is a great size and we were able to fit lots of her personal items in there, ornaments, pictures etc.
My wife visits daily and seems happy to leave her mum there, she knows that she is safe. Having that feeling is priceless.

This care home is kept to the highest standard and the staff give the greatest respect and care to the residents. It must have been a miracle that day when my daughter and I came to view and my husband was accepted.

My Mum recently celebrated her 90th birthday at Sunnyview. The care home provided a buffet, birthday cake and a decorated room that we could use for a family party. My Mum was delighted as she had no idea about the party. The effort and consideration taken by the staff to make this a special day was
fantastic. It allowed us to celebrate Mum's birthday and make some lovely memories.

It is a lovely home, and we feel fortunate that mum was looked after there. We could visit at any time. Mum was well cared for by the staff. We were well supported as relatives. There were not enough staff, especially the night mum died, though the ones on duty were excellent under the circumstances.
There was a faster changeover of staff when the owners took over, which was difficult. Staff that knew mum well were leaving, and the changes were a bit disorientating. Overall, mum was loved and cared for well by the staff that did know her.

I have been a resident here for 6 years and on the whole, have found most things satisfactory. On the odd occasion when something has gone wrong, it is soon resolved by the staff when it is brought to their attention.

My experience of Sunny View House initially was excellent, but in the past few months, there have been slight changes in staff i.e moved upstairs or left which to the residents is a little upsetting, the staff have been excellent but the new staff we have yet to get to know.

My mother-in-law has recently moved down from Scotland to be nearer to us as her Alzheimers progresses.
Due to her condition, she has been very confused most mornings and suffers from sundown Syndrome.
They have been wonderfully supportive at all times. Everyone looks after her from the chef, maintenance
man, housekeeper, carer, nurse, unit manager, receptionist etc.

Staff are lovely. They treat residents with care and respect and dignity and look and act professionally. They are always available to talk to.


My mother and other residents love walking. It would be lovely to have a long, winding path from the back garden area to the front - cutting through all

the hedges with benches along the way and a larger patio area in the middle.

Kennedy has recently joined the team in his new role as a clinical unit manager which is his first time employment with BUPA.


Kennedy is a registered Nurse who has got experience in most aspects of nursing including midwifery and is an expert in medication management, Infection control, wound care and palliative care among others.


Kennedy loves being a nurse above all else because nothing comes before a human in need and derives satisfaction from ensuring as well as promoting a good quality of life irrespective of the existing limitations.
