A very welcoming and reassuring experience when my mother-in-law became a resident. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff made us feel confident it was the right way forward for my mother-in-law to be cared for and feel content.

The overall experience of my mother going into the care hoe was a very good one. From entereing the home, the family felt supported and reassured my mother would be well looked after.
The pleasant surroundings and staff helped to make my mother fell settled and content and that was so important to
her and to us.

When my son was looking for a care home for me, he looked at many in Durham and decided this one was the best he could find. I am very happy here, the rooms are kept beautifully clean and the staff are lovely.

My wife and myself checked all care homes in the area and Greenways Court was by far the best. Great staff from the manager to the care workers. A special mention to the home administrator.
They all look after my mother in laws needs very well.
The accommodation is a very good standard. My mother
in law is very content living there.

My mother has recently moved into Greenways Court and we were all apprehensive about the move. The staff have been so friendly, making my mam feel welcome and valued. The environment is a very caring one and my mam has commented on how friendly everyone is. My mam has settled in nicely and it is heartwarming
when so many staff ask how my mam is finding life in Greenways Court, I think she will be very happy here.

My friend doesn't seem to have any complaints. He soon settled into the home and seems very comfortable here. He speaks well of the meals and has been well attended to when required. He takes advantage of the days out. Overall, a grand spot.

My father was worried and not well when he arrived at Greenways Court in May. It took him 3 or 4 months to settle, but now thanks to the kindness of all the staff and the comfortable surroundings, he is much more like his old self. He is happy in his room with his TV and keyboard and is putting on weight
thanks to the care and attention of the kitchen staff.

Both of my parents are residents at Greenways although on separate floors. My father has mobility issues and my mother has dementia. Although their needs are very different, the quality of their care is the same. Nothing short of excellent. From the staff, many of whom I have got to know very well,
to the facilities and the attention to detail, Greenways is the very best place for my parents to be.

My mother has been a resident here for more than 2 years and we are still very pleased with the excellent care provided. This is largley due to the wonderful staff who we find are unfailingly patient and kind and nothing seems too much trouble for them.
There is very low staff turnover which means
that most of the staff have been there the whole time my mother has been there and they know their residents very well.

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“Kind care, for me, is person-centred care. It is all about the individual and their needs.”


Kinga has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people during her 8 years in care work. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Having started as Home Manager at Greenways Court in October 2020, Kinga was the perfect candidate as she closely shares HC-One’s vision aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident and has been a deputy Manager at HC-One for 3 years.


Kinga also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Greenways Court.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Kinga remarked:


“Spending time with Residents and listening to their life stories. Talking about photographs and memories Residents have in their rooms.”


“I enjoy supporting and developing my staff in any areas they wish to expand their knowledge, seeing the positive outcome of it makes me really happy.”


Outside of work, Kinga enjoys many activities and hobbies, especially spending time with her family and travelling.
