I visit my husband on average 5-6 days each week, and on every visit, I find the staff are always polite, friendly and professional at all times.
Staff are very caring towards my husband. They treat him with respect and dignity.
The facilities are excellent. They offer a good range of activities
and have a themed week every month with a singer. The food always appears to be appetising with a choice of food available.

I've reviewed Nelson Manor Care Centre previously and given full marks and nothing has changed. I believe my Dad would not be alive if hadn't had the care and compassion he's had for the last two years here. I visit five days a week and it's so very rare that I have to 'mention' something (eg his food
isn't cut up), every single employed carer (and nurse) shows complete empathy and kindness to all the residents. Pray that I never need a care home myself, but if I did, I would want it to be here. So very grateful to them all. Thank you so much.

Though sadly my husband's stay at Nelson Manor was brief, I cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention he (and I and Bella the Family Dog) received, he was not really in a position to appreciate his short stay, but knowing him as I did, I am sure he felt cared for and content whilst there.
I had not been able to visit the home prior to his arrival there, but am sure had I chosen somewhere for him to spend his last weeks, I could not have found anywhere more caring. Thank you to all the staff.

I moved my father on the 14th of October 2022. The support, care and kindness is just outstanding. My father has lost all nervousness and anxiety and is very settled due to the excellent staff at Nelson Manor.

The care home is very inviting, always greeted in reception with a welcome and smile from members of staff. Really caring and friendly members of staff, nothing is ever too much trouble. You can see all the staff genuinely care and seem very happy in their work. And the residents appear happy and content.
Activities are held regularly and enjoyed by some residents.
The day room and dining rooms are homely, tidy and clean. The food looks delicious and well-presented. The resident's rooms are also very clean, tidy and homely. Residents are also able to take some of their personal items to help them feel more at home.
I would have no hesitation - highly recommend this care home to family and friends. Don't change a thing, you all do a fabulous job.

Overall I think Nelson Manor gives mum the care she needs, in my experience of visiting, mum is clean, relaxed and generally as good as is possible. We the family could not possibly give her the care she receives at Nelson Manor. I cannot compare Nelson Manor with any other care home but I am very satisfied

I am really happy with the care my mother is receiving at Nelson Manor. She has felt comfortable, settled and content from her first day there. All staff have made myself, other family members and mum's friends feel very welcome when we visit. They always treat mum with respect, dignity, empathy and
a smile. The Nurses are always approachable & have been very helpful when we have needed to ask them about any of mum's ongoing health issues or her care. My sister and I are really glad we chose Nelson Manor and we would both definitely recommend it to anyone with a loved one needing excellent care in a safe and reassuring environment.

Mum was admitted to Nelson Manor Care Centre in March from hospital for palliative care. She was treated with dignity, respect and always immaculately clean, and her room was lovely. The staff were very kind to mum and ourselves, we were allowed to go every day as mum became more poorly. It was a comfort
to know that mum was being cared for so well by the dedicated people at Nelson Manor, and made a difficult time for us all much easier. I would not hesitate to recommend Nelson Manor Care Centre.

Cannot praise Nelson Manor staff for the care and service. Superb staff and cannot praise them enough for the way they have dealt with COVID-19. This has been an extremely hard time for families not being able to see loved ones, but telephone calls to them have been excellent with updates on loved ones.
