Our Mum has been a resident at Windmill Manor for about five months. The care and support she receives are absolutely fantastic. Mum's needs have changed rapidly during her stay so far and not only have those needs been met, but she seems content. her health has stabilised and she seems content with her carers and environment.

My brother came to Windmill Manor after a very bad experience in another care home. He is a different person altogether. From the first day, he was settled and calm. He's clean and smart every day. Thanks, Windmill.

Thank you for your lovely comments, we love looking after your brother and can see the change in him ourselves. The interaction he has with staff and residents is nice to watch. We are so glad he is happy here.

My father has been cared for in a kind and empathetic manner throughout the time he has lived at Windmill Manor. The majority of staff do their utmost to meet the individual requirements of all the residents and have endeavoured to understand my father's personality and needs. I am confident that I am kept updated and alerted to any changes in his condition. The vast majority of the staff are friendly, welcoming and caring. I would recommend Windmill Manor to others requiring a dementia specialist nursing home.

Windmill Manor was picked as my wife and I felt it was the most suitable for my mother's care. We have always been impressed with the staff's care and attention. The property is well maintained and is always welcoming. Entertainment for the guests is of a high standard.

My mother has been in this care home for two years. She has had extremely good care. All the staff, without exception, are kind and caring. Although very busy, the staff always find the time to chat if you have any queries.

The only downside is the high turnover of staff and moves to other parts of the home.

I am so grateful that my husband is in this lovely home. The staff are wonderful, so kind and friendly.

The building could easily pass as a smart hotel with every amenity even including a coffee bar where visitors can take their loved ones for a change of scenery. My husband agrees if he can't be at home he's in the next best place.

Very wary originally due to poor respite care experience elsewhere. However, delighted with Windmill Manor. My husband was smiling and clean and enjoyed his stay. Staff were very reassuring and nothing was made to be a massive problem. This was his first week, but he settled in well and enjoyed the food and fun atmosphere created by the carers. This was not easy as my husband is aphasic.

My brother who has constant falls, as he had when at home. He is aware of his situation. Staff can only do their best by keeping him under observation when possible and encourage him to be involved in activities. My brother is a loner, living as a single person for many years.

I have looked after a neighbour for 2 1/2 years. She now is in need of 24 hour care. She is 93. I found Windmill Manor who were also willing to take her small beloved dog - Mal. Everyone has helped her settle in. They have also been extremely kind to my husband and I. I would recommend this home to anyone.

The staff, which change often, are caring but my Mother has lost her glasses and hearing aid, neither have been found. There is always an unsavoury smell when you go into the nursing area. Food good as far as I can see.

The genuine desire to provide care is strongly evident in Windmill. My experience over 18 months of caring for my mother was, there seemed to be a core of very good carers who you could always rely on to provide the 'best'. But there were carers who didn't exhibit to the same level, some more recently recruited, which is why I have marked 'good' overall rather than excellent. I would have liked a bit more interaction during the day with residents but it was sometimes evident staff shortages meant this couldn't happen as much. My mother's end of life' care was superb.

It can be very daunting for residents and their families when a loved one moves into a care home. We took time to look at our options and found that Windmill Manor offered the best care and environment for Mum. The care team were very understanding, and although it took Mum time to settle she is happy and safe.

My wife, a dementia sufferer has received efficient and loving care since entering the home.

The staff, particularly the carers, are always considerate but maintaining this standard is made difficult by the high turn-over.
