Riverdale Court care home, situated in Welling, in the London Borough of Bexley, is a care facility providing residential care for older people living with dementia.

Riverdale Court provides a wealth of support services for people living with dementia, with the aim of not just providing care and comfort, but also a new, positive and more engaging stage in their lives. The team of qualified and attentive staff provide 24-hour specialist person-centred dementia care.

All of the bedrooms have bright modern en suite facilities with individual colour schemes to provide relaxation and a sense of well-being.

My Father moved into Riverdale Court (Cherry) in September 2024, initially for respite but has since become a permanent resident. In December 2024 my Mother joined him and they both require dementia care. From the outset, the care they have received has been outstanding. The home is super friendly warm
and welcoming and spotlessly clean. Staff work exceptionally hard going above and beyond to care for the residents in a kind, compassionate, and considerate way, striving to treat them with dignity. Ideally, we would witness a few more organised activities for those able but slowly this is improving. As a family, we have no concerns and really cannot fault it.

My Mum has been at Riverdale Court for 1 year. She has settled in as well as any dementia patient can. Her condition can be challenging, but the carers are great at dealing with her during these difficult times. They are kind, caring, and very empathetic with the residents.

Mum has been a resident of Riverdale Court for the last 6.5 years. During this time Mum has been happy and well cared for. I cannot fault anything. On arrival, the reception staff are welcoming and helpful. The home smells fresh and is clean and tidy. The care staff know Mum well and go above and beyond
to care for and support her independence. There is a happy atmosphere and great communication.

I accompanied my mother (a recent resident) to the annual BBQ and it was extremely well organised, and executed. There were staff on hand to engage other residents in the entertainment where no friends/family were present. It was really nice to see this display of inclusiveness despite their personal
circumstances. It was evident that a lot of planning had gone into the event from the catering, entertainment, and seating arrangements - including preparing for any rain! - raffles etc. Thoroughly enjoyable day, thank you!

Happy to leave review. Mum has been here for 5 years now. We have seen the care industry suffer through COVID and despite this, Riverdale have provided amazing care at difficult times. There has been a new manager in the last year and he seems very proactive and family meetings are booked well in advance
and a recent introduction of a "parents evening" style meeting gives us a chance to talk to the various departments. Really great care home and Mum loves it there.

My cousin came to Riverdale just as covid started so we didn't have an induction to the home, we went by recommendation. We can only comment on food by asking my cousin, she appears happy but I would have liked to see a menu.

Mum has been at Riverdale since June. The care Mum has received has been outstanding. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The home is very clean, and the rooms are big and bright. There is a homely feel about the home, full of warmth. The staff have provided great support to Mum and us as a family.
Mum is treated with dignity, empathy and respect. Our worries and concerns are addressed quickly, and we, as a family, feel reassured. Mum always looked well and happy.

Solomon has been working as a Senior Care Lead at Avante since 2022 and is known for his good work ethic and zest for learning. Solomon was promoted to Deputy Manager at Riverdale Court in July 2023.


Prior to joining Avante, Solomon worked in senior care roles at Nellsar Care and BUPA Care Homes at Priory Mews.


He started his career in Marketing and Customer Services and worked his way up to become a Marketing and Business Development Manager before moving to the world of social care where he completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Adult Social Care.


Solomon has a number of qualifications under his belt, including a Diploma in Marketing, a Degree in Business Administration and a Master's in Healthcare Management from Anglia Ruskin University.
