The team at The Beeches, many of whom have been with the home for years, are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents and empowering them to have an active role to play in how their home is run.

Providing residential, dementia and respite care, the team are proud to involve the residents and their loved ones in every aspect of life at the home. There are resident and family ambassadors, who get involved in everything from taking part in staff interviews to providing feedback on everything from the menus to the activities.

Food is a highlight of the day for many residents – and the chef is an award-winning baker with a passion for cakes! The food is very much shaped by the residents and there is a mixture of traditional dishes, like roasts with all the trimmings, to flavours from around the world if the residents would like to try them – including Caribbean, Greek and Indian.

There are so many activities to enjoy, from pampering in the salon, cheese and wine evenings and live entertainment, to gentle exercise and gardening in the home’s vegetable patch.

The team embrace the community into the home, with visiting students and community volunteers.

The Beeches also has a namaste room, a cinema room and a café, where residents can relax with friends and family, who are welcome at any time, over tea and homemade cake.

The home also has a Magic Table, an amazing piece of technology designed for people living with dementia, where residents can play interactive light games together.

The gardens are a beautiful spot to relax in, with raised planters and wheelchair friendly pathways. Some of the bedrooms, which are all ensuite, have patio access to the gardens.

Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1178 but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

Generally, the care mu cousin is receiving is good, however, one of my concerns is the amount of time spent on paperwork by the carers, this detracts from the care they should be giving 100% of the time they are on duty. I believe that the whole system of recording residents day to day details should
be revised and more modern practices used, i.e electronic not pads sending information to the management team. I know this would be costly but one has to move with the times.
The remainder of my comments concerning the private rooms, meals cleanliness etc are all good.

Thank you for your positive comments. Updating care plans and recording details like our residents’ nutritional intake, any medication they have needed etc is a vital part my team’s role because it ensures we are delivering person-centred care to each of our residents.
I am delighted to say that this year Sanctuary Care successfully completed a pilot of using electronic instead of paper-based care plans in two of its homes and is currently in the process of planning how best to roll electronic care plans to all homes.

We have been really impressed with the support of all staff who are trying really hard to help our Mom settle in. They have not pressurised her to leave her room to eat her meals with the other residents, but have let her eat her meals in her room. Mom has extreme difficulties with her vocabulary and
is not able to ask for anything, but the staff have asked us or have just left food etc. for her. We have had extreme difficulties with getting Mom dressed or washed but she is now letting the staff help her. We are so relieved!!

I visited the home for the first time today, and I was very impressed with what I found. The home was very clean, and the staff and management were extremely friendly. The management sat down with my cousin and I was discussing how my aunt was settling in she has only been there just over a week. The
cafe area for visitors is lovely with a view over the garden. The lunch that my aunt had was well presented and she ate all her food. Looking forward to next visit.

After a lengthy stay in a hospital, mom went to the Beeches. The staff team is working hard to socialise mom into her new home. Cannot fault their dedication & professionalism. The facilities are appropriate to the needs of the client and provide a calm and reassuring atmosphere to assist in the rehabilitation
of mom. All the staff are friendly and approachable. I was very apprehensive about mom going into a care setting however the Beeches has allayed my fears.
Food is excellent and varied. Cannot praise them highly enough.

When I realised my dad wasn't coping as well as he said he was, 12 months ago. I suggested we look at sheltered/residential care. He was adamant "I'm not going in one of those places" Just last week after four months in The Beeches he said, "You know this was the best move we ever made"! It says it
all really! He is happy, well cared for, enjoys the food and the entertainment, and for me I have peace of mind knowing people are at hand when he needs help. Thanks to the lovely staff.

The care home is very pleasant in its layout, externally and internally. The carers are very friendly and welcoming, I trust that they look after my grandmother. The management doesn't seem to be as welcoming as they were in the first instance. Overall good standards.

Very good since mum moved in back in March 2016. Only comment would make, pictures still not on wall we had requested, so going to do ourselves. Was told carpet being changed just after she arrived but not been done and armchair stained already when moved in, so would be nice if can be replaced. Otherwise
all very satisfactory.

Overall The Beeches provides a tremendous service to my grandmother. The staff and management team display excellent professionalism whilst creating a comradeship with the residents. My grandmother settled in quickly and myself and my family have never regretted our decision.

The Beeches is a very warm, friendly and safe environment for my aunt. The staff are very good and provide top quality care in all aspects especially the activities. Only today the residents were playing dominoes and hoopla. The biggest compliment I can pay is it doesn't feel like a typical care home.
The layout is more like a large house and the rooms are lovely and modern. Thanks.

All the staff have been very attentive, friendly and courteous. The home is clean and always smells fresh. The food always smells tasty and is well presented. Entertainment is available almost every day. The hairdresser does a great job of my mother's hair, which is very thin and wispy. Manicures are
available done by the staff and the personal care always appears to be of a high and gentle nature. Thank you for all the care and affection your staff give to my mother every day.

My mom has been a resident at The Beech for almost 4 years not and I have been more than satisfied with all aspects of care. My father has been at The Beeches for 3 years. At the time of his admittance he was quite poorly. Thanks to the kindness, care and professionalism of the team there, he celebrated his 101st birthday this year. He is very happy and comfortable. From the point of view of myself and my siblings, we feel
confident that dad has the best of care and are sure in the knowledge that we are always kept informed of any problems. We are made to feel welcome any time we visit, with staff always pleasant and helpful.

I began my career in care as an activities coordinator, discovering the joy of bringing happiness and purpose to residents.


Later, as a care assistant, I had the privilege of ensuring residents received tailored care informed by their unique histories and needs.


In my senior care roles, I embraced a person-centred approach, treating residents like extended family. I believe in truly knowing each individual, and helping them to live fulfilling lives.


Becoming a mother deepened my empathy for families, teaching me to address even small concerns with compassion and care. I always strive to view situations through the lens of how I would want my own loved ones treated.


Now, as Home Manager at The Beeches, I bring years of experience and a passion for creating a vibrant, welcoming environment where residents, their families, and staff feel valued and supported.
