Excellent care in a homely environment. The staff are caring and patient. The food is delicious and is catered to all tastes. Brilliant entertainment and always something to do. Nice coffee shops for residents to take their families and lots of special events which are enjoyed by everyone. Thank you

Great staff, friendly and my dad has loved coming here and I am very, very grateful to the staff for looking after him. It's respite care which gives me a chance to have a holiday.

My thanks go to all the staff and supporters at Avondale. They treat my mum with respect and dignity and help her to maintain as much of her independence as possible. Residents are encouraged to join in a wide range of activities, which are arranged to encourage all abilities. My experience is that
families are welcomed and kept informed of treatment and care plans.

My son and I had a lovely time at a music event at Avondale. We felt the home manager went over and above for everyone, resident, family and staff. It was such a well-arranged event. We had a wonderful time and it showcased just how much they care for their residents.

My mum has been at Avondale for several months, and I can’t fault the place. The staff treat Mum, and us, like family. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and we’ve been encouraged to take in any of Mum’s possessions that will help her feel at home. She has a large painting
from home hanging on her wall now, which the home’s maintenance crew put up the day we took it in. Also, Mum says the food is very good; if she fancies something in particular to eat, she only has to ask.
We, as a family, feel confident that Mum is being well looked after, and I would recommend Avondale without hesitation.

I came to visit a family friend and found all of the staff to be very friendly and helpful. A very clean and comfortable environment. The chocolate brownie was amazing.

I needed a care home to convalesce after my complex hernia operation and found Avondale Care Home in Aylesbury. They were excellent. Flexible on start date. Excellent nursing care. Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent food and service. Very friendly social atmosphere.

My mum, who is in her 98th year, has lived at Avondale Care Home since October 2022. As a family, we are delighted at the care and attention she has always received since she came. Prompt action and communication from staff when it's needed. If we have any queries, we are always given clear explanation
from staff, are made to feel welcome and individual staff members often express their affection for my mum. Mum always appears relaxed and content and speaks for her liking of the home.

Well done to everyone at Avondale Care Home for a very enjoyable and uplifting Saturday afternoon on the 1st of July 2023.
Together with my husband, who is a resident at Avondale, we were part of the annual Pride Party, and we enjoyed live(ly) entertainment, cocktails and a delicious buffet.
The staff
were cheerful and extremely helpful, making sure that we all had a wonderful time.
A big thank you to the Avondale party organisers and staff.
We are already looking forward to next year's Pride Party.

Fantastic care, great staff. Communication is very good. We felt very happy knowing how well our mum had been looked after. Mum stayed in the residential dementia unit, highly recommend it, will definitely use it again.

I have a strong background in healthcare management and extensive experience in the care sector, with a BSc in Management of Health and Welfare Units and an MBA in International Healthcare Management. I have also been registered with CQC since 2016.


As a home manager, I am incredibly passionate about treating everybody with dignity and respect. I also believe that a positive attitude can make a real difference in people's lives.
