Always a friendly welcome. Staff go above and beyond. The home is very clean and well looked after. The food looks lovely and there is always something to do. I am always offered a coffee when I come to visit. My friend is very happy.

It was really great that we were able to walk away that day knowing he was safe and being well looked after.
The whole team have made him feel so welcome and have provided wonderful, caring support in what has been a very distressing time.
The environment is warm and welcoming, clean and homely. There are lots of activities and everyone encouraged to participate.
I'd like to rate it more than five stars!

Mum was a resident at Newcross Care Home for 4 years and we have been very happy with care received throughout this time. In more recent weeks of her stay mum became very unwell and her needs became more demanding. The care remained excellent. staff were very attentive to mums needs and remained her advocate throughout. Family were extremely well supported throughout this time, always being made to feel welcome, kept up to date on all changes and encouraged to speak up on behalf of mum as a family we can honestly say we could not have asked for anything better.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this lovely review, it really is nice for staff to get these great comments - thank you Bev
During my stay as a resident my experience was satisfactory.
would truly welcome your feedback.
my brother has recently moved into New Cross care home and I could not be more delighted with how he has been cared for. I knew the moment, I stepped inside, that there was nowhere else that I wanted my brother to go. The care home is spotless, the staff are all amazing and my brother has been happily engaging in the activities. His room is more like a hotel room and there is a lovely, warm friendly vibe to this home. It is very reassuring to know that my brother is well cared for and happy.
Thank you for taking the time to review Newcross Care home, we are pleased your brother has settled in so well and i am sure he will continue to settle in and enjoy living here - Bev
Very welcoming. Staff are always happy to help us create a family 'picnic' when we visit.
Thank you taking the time to review Newcross care home and that the staff support you when you visit -Bev
Very caring and pleasant staff - helpful with visits. My aunt loves the garden and the activities, especially exercise and singing. Thanks to Pam for organising lunch for us! First room on the street was noisy but her new one is nice.
Thank you for taking the time to review Newcross Care home i am pleased your aunt is happy in her new room - Thank you Bev
I come here once a week to see my wife's sister. Always made to feel welcome, staff are always helpful, busy and professional.

First impressions are always important. From the moment we arrived at Newcross Care Home, we felt welcomed and a lovely warmth from all the staff. Everyone is part of a big family, all looking out for each other. The home is clean and well organised. I genuinely believe it would be hard to find a better place. Thank you for all you are doing. Oh, one last thing, what a lovely meal arrangement you have, great food in a lovely setting, it's like a 5 star restaurant.
Thank you for this lovely review we appreciate the kind words and I am pleased your friend has settled into the home, and thank you and your lovely family for the support you have shown by attending our events - Bev
I have never been in a care home before I have no idea what to expect. But other than that I have enjoyed it very much, I love everyone there, all kind.
We were very happy to receive your review I know you were worried about your emergency stay and so pleased you had such a good experience that you know want to move in permanently
My mum is in respite care due to ill health and me struggling to cope with her in her own home. From our first visit to look round & every step of the way in her first 3 weeks I have felt mum is safe & receiving excellent care & support. She struggled to settle initially but the kind & caring staff & activities have helped her adjust. We have done choir practice, juice tasting & garden club together, she has taken up art again & her first trip out to a local park for a picnic was a big success. I feel so much more relaxed knowing she is in safe hands. I can now spend quality time with mum rather than responding to crisis after crisis ( I feel Newcross Care Home is caring for me too) This was demonstrated by a recent call from mum when she thought she had taken a turn for the worse. The carer I spoke to was kind, caring & reassuring & I recognised her voice on the phone & trusted her judgement implicitly. All was fine. Thank you to the manager & her team.
Thank you for this lovely review and we appreciate you taking the time to complete this
The last couple of weeks her health gradually declined & during her last 3 days the family took her bedside vigil in shifts. Still the staff were amazing, compassionate, respectful & so supporting of all the family. They definitely went above and beyond our expectations, we can't praise them enough.
Thank you very much for your kind review we do appreciate you taking the time to do this
Just to say what a lovely day we had on the 18th January celebrating Mum's 91st birthday. We had a room which the staff decorated, and we were looked after very well. Mum had a lovely time with family and also a cake. We just wanted to say thanks for the love and care she receives. We really appreciate all you do. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely review and feedback. We were so pleased to be part of Mum's special day.
I would like to thank all the staff who helped me organise the visit and make it a really special morning for my mom. Staff made the mayoress feel very welcome and were very happy to show her around and meet other residents.
Thank you for your lovely words, comments and ratings. It was truly a lovely morning spent by all.
My husband will have been in the home 12 months this month and his care has been excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are friendly reassuring and professional, the home is like a 4-star hotel with lovely furnishings and decor and the residents' rooms are always clean. The home has a lovely welcoming atmosphere due to the friendliness of the staff and my husband gets on well with them all.
Thank you for your lovely words, review and ratings.
On the sudden passing of my dear Mom, circumstances with Par made it too difficult to care for him alone at home. It is still so raw and heartbreaking, with the help and support of the care team the transition has been that much easier, they are absolutely amazing. The love they have shown to Par, giving him encouragement to remain independent as much as possible. I am in awe of them (Wow). It's like one big happy family there, they are always watching and vigilant. I have never had any concerns, well done to you all and a massive heartfelt thank you from me.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, your beautiful comments and 5* ratings. We are all one big family at Newcross Care Home.
Very pleased, well looked after, staff are very good with her, can't say a bad word about anything. Rooms are very clean, she's very happy every time I visit, I can leave knowing she's in good hands. Overall I am very happy with Newcross Care Home.
Thank you for your lovely words, 5-star ratings and comments.
My nan receives excellent care, all the staff are amazing and always so kind to her. She always tells me how lovely the food is.
Thank you for your lovely review and I will pass on the food comments to our head chef.
The care home is a pleasant environment, bright and clean. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming. There are always lots of activities for the residents.
Staff are always very welcoming, they make you feel at home. They let you know if there are concerns or if things are needed for Mom. Mom loves it there. I want to move in myself. Thank you all you all do a great job.

Hello, my name is Beverley, and I am delighted to be the Home Manager here at Newcross.
I have 40 years of experience within the healthcare sector and have achieved qualifications such as the Management level 4 Registered Manager's Award. Working in residential and nursing settings, my previous roles have been as an Operations Manager and a Nurse.
Within this time, I have shared many treasurable moments with the residents I have had the pleasure to meet along the way. One proud moment that has stayed with me throughout my career was when I was able to reunite one of my residents with their brother, who had lost contact and not seen each other for 15 years. To their surprise, they found out they had only been living a few miles apart the whole time.
I would best describe myself as someone who is very outgoing, warm and welcoming and always wanting the best for the home. I pride myself in providing a high-quality service to all residents ensuring they receive an exceptional level of care and have a fun, enjoyable life here at Newcross Care Home. In my spare time, I enjoy going on holiday, meeting with friends for meals out and spending time with my family.
