My mother has resided at Richmond House for a couple of years now during which time the home have accommodated with much compassion her slow decline. Her care needs are attended to and as a family, we are all very satisfied. She appears very happy and contented and pleased to be amongst familiar faces.

My mum's a happier and healthier person since joining Richmond House.
For us as a family, it has meant peace of mind. knowing she is safe, has company and good care of her needs.

It has also been good to see her getting involved in the activities the home put on for the residents - even getting artwork on display!

We first came across Richmond House last year, when we needed a respite facility for my farther and they came highly recommended.
They were very professional and attentive to all of our needs.
We used them on two occasions for respite care.
The thing that blew me away was their attention to detail. Everything they do is selfless and purely focused on the one needing the care and the needs of their family.
We knew it wouldn’t be long before Dad needed a full-time placement, and when the time came, there were no questions as to where we wanted him to live.
We were very fortunate as they had a room for him, and they made him feel right at home.
The level of care that the team provide is exceptional, my wife works as a nurse in the community and her words say it all.

“I have never seen a facility like this before, I wish they all cared as much as Richmond House”.

My Mother has been at Richmond House for three months. I have not found any fault with the care they have given my Mum, nor have I any concern for the care she is receiving.
Richmond House is always warm and clean, and the food is of good quality.

All the staff are approachable, attentive and extremely helpful.

I assisted a friend to pick a care home for his auntie as I have worked in a number of care homes myself. We chose this care home out of all the care homes we went to see. This was the best - nice and clean, very well presented. Residents are very well dressed and tidy. The staff always greet you with a smile when they welcome you into the home. Well done.

Richmond House is providing a warm and caring environment for my mother in law and we're really pleased with the level of care she is receiving there. The staff are always cheerful and enthusiastic when we visit, and everyone goes out of their way to be supportive and friendly. There's a range of organised activities and opportunities to participate in - music and singing sessions, for example - and a lot of fun seems to be had each day. We're really glad that she's living in such a warm, welcoming and supportive place.

Very nice home (better than expected) clean, tidy, very caring staff. The murals on the wall of the home are very good especially the seaside scene where you can sit as if you are on the beach under the parasol and the hanging seagull. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff or management.

My mum found this home after searching all over for somewhere suitable for my Nanna who is suffering with dementia. My Nanna was so unsettled in her last home that moving her was emotional and nervewracking. Immediately on setting foot into the home you get a very reassuring feeling, we all felt welcome, the staff instantly making her feel at ease. The staff are amazing and so helpful, always smiling and engaging. We were worried my Nanna would take a few weeks to settle however a few days in and she loves it! She has made friends, been involved in arts and crafts which she never would have done before and even gets up in the dancing sessions, in her words "I don't feel any pain when I'm dancing." After an emotional time we feel reassured after a visit, we can go about our daily lives knowing she is being looked after very well when we can't be there with her. Don't hesitate to visit this home and see it for yourself, it's more like a hotel! Thank you to all of the wonderful staff. x

The home is clean and fresh and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The staff and management are friendly, helpful and any problems they sort them out quickly. My dad is well cared for and he has settled in really quickly. His room is cosy but he doesn’t spend much time in it as residents are encouraged to mix and join in the numerous activities that go on all day. I would recommend Richmond House to anyone (and have done!)

Dementia took my Mum almost overnight. She entered Richmond House, May 2017. The staff at Richmond House really know what they are doing. My Mum is now 88 - physically fit and healthy but now lives her life 30 years ago. She has gone back to a time when she was a school cook. Not only do the staff understand and care for her physical needs, but they also respond and care for her mental and emotional needs. In short, they understand the 'whole picture'. They allow her to keep busy doing little jobs - setting the tables, cleaning table mats so she feels part of things. She has put on weight as she now eats good meals regularly. Truly - what would I have done without the care and support of the staff at Richmond House? I really do not know!
