Over the last month, I have visited the care home regularly. I have been greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. My cousin is well cared for and the ethos of the home suits her personality. It is obvious that the staff are well motivated by caring management. Although my cousin is not able to take part in the activities at the moment I know there are plenty of activities for them to participate in and an excellent care home.

I visited my Mother daily on my recent visit to the UK. My visits were at varying times and durations and I was always made to feel welcome. During the time I was there the lift was out of order for approximately 3-4 days, which placed additional pressure on the staff, but it didn’t phase them, and they kept their sense of humour.

The care my mother is receiving is of exceptional standard. Although I live in Australia and cannot visit as often as I would like, I can rest assured that my mother is in a loving and happy environment. I would not hesitate in recommending Richmond House.

My Auntie has resided here for nearly a year and can't praise the management and staff enough.
Richmond House is without a doubt the best care home I could wish for my Auntie.
The staff are so caring, supportive and friendly with their residents and treat them all with the utmost respect and dignity. I always come away feeling reassured that she is under the best care possible after my visits.
The accommodation is very comfortable and warm infact it reminds me of a 5* Hotel, the smells that come from the kitchen as it gets close to teatime are delicious and the access to the garden and fresh air is wonderful and not always available for people with dementia.
Every effort is made to fill their days with plenty of activities including arts and craft, quizzes, table tennis etc.
They also allow me to bring my dog along on my visits which my Auntie really enjoys.

And after a couple of hours journey, we are always welcomed with a smile and the offer of a cup of tea.

Living over two hours away we are always assured of a welcoming cup of tea when we arrive. The person we visit is cared for with respect and dignity. The staff clearly take pride in caring for the residents and the atmosphere is always friendly. Residents are usually taking part in activities when we visit. The quiet area is available for those not wishing to take part and the tv room is showing films and programmes which are suitable, classical music was playing within the music area. This is how all care homes should be! It is simply the best.

My Mum has been a resident at this truly exceptional Care Home for the last two years where she has received the most outstanding level of care and support.
Richmond House has an extremely warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and it’s evident that residents are very happy and extremely well cared for by immensely kind, professional and highly experienced management and staff.
Mum has also benefited enormously from the social interaction, genuine affection and fun with staff and other residents, which along with a diverse range of activities, has enabled Mum to rediscover her confidence and personality.

She has positively blossomed at Richmond House and it has given me great pleasure to see how happy she has been. I am enormously grateful to the exceptional management and staff for what they have done for my Mum.

Richmond House is a care home that knows the meaning of care. The staff are wonderful and make the residents feel safe and part of a family. I couldn't wish for better care for my mother. Everywhere is spotless and my mother's bedroom is light and airy. The atmosphere is a happy one, with much laughter and the management take the time to get to know the families. In the 2 years my mother has been there, she has been treated with respect, kindness and understanding. What more could I ask for.

Richmond House is an excellent care home for dementia patients.

Sadly having both parents suffer from Alzheimers, their care and support in the transition from mum living in her own house to becoming a resident in Richmond House helped greatly.

They say no one will look after your parent how you would yourself and yet I beg to differ as Richmond House staff definitely do. Thank you to all of you.

After 12 years of caring for my mother and reaching the point of needing professional help with her care I searched reviews and visited numerous homes and chose Richmond House Care Home at first for the odd week respite then full time. The home is high-quality care and my mother has settled well and is the happiest I have seen her in years.

The staff are extremely helpful, attentive and professional, keeping me informed and updated regularly and always welcome me on my visits. I have no qualms about recommending Richmond House Care Home to those who have reached that point where they or loved ones needs that caring space.

Richmond House Care Home is a happy loving and caring home. I saw the carers holding hands, putting their arms around residents and showing them affection. It was very clean and the staff were welcoming and gave visitors a cup of tea and a piece of cake on their visits.

They provided craft activities and organised for outside agencies to come and sing or play music to them. The management were open and honest and they dealt with any questions we had very quickly. Excellent home.

My wife spent 6 months at Richmond House. We have now transferred her to a nursing home. Richmond House does not have a qualified nurse on the staff. This is my only criticism. The care given was excellent. The staff, without exception, were caring, helpful and always friendly and cheerful. The home is spacious, allowing residents to move about at will, allowing residents to be in the company of others, or be in quiet lounges when preferred.
