Heather View

Mum has been at Heather View for just over a year. There have been some minor 'teething' issues, but generally everything has been very good. Minor interactions with cloths being lost, hearing aids not working, etc, but once raised, these have been addressed. Mum is very happy, even referring to it as 'her lounge'. So generally, very happy with the care and attention she receives.

The monthly meetings are useful and connect us to the management team who are keen to be available and helpful.

Staff are friendly and very caring and make the whole family feel welcome and at home. Heatherview is a lovely home, it is always clean and the rooms are modern and very comfortable. Every effort is made to help the residents settle in and to enjoy their time there.

I have been in Heather View for nearly 3 years, after losing my husband of 60 years. The staff have looked after me so well bringing me up from very dark places at times. The food is good and there is plenty to do if I want to! I have lived in the area for 55 years and find I am meeting up with old friends. Love our garden and look forward to the summer coming!

When we pulled into the entrance of Heather View 16 months ago I was not amazed with the rather austere building but once inside it was very different. A warm welcome, light, bright décore greeted me. I was genuinely taken back by the lively atmosphere. Whoever planned this layout certainly knew what they were doing. I was very taken with the facilities that we could use and enjoy. What a treat! No more empty, lonely evenings. Since being here I have enjoyed listening to a wide range of singers, taking part in special events and entertaining my friends and family.

Light, clean, comfortable very warm and inviting. We had looked at other homes in the area, and they were very disappointing. Where you leave your family you want them to be well looked after, comfortable, and this what I've found by placing our sister here. She has settled in very quickly and loves all the staff. Well done Heather View and thank you for accepting our sister into your care.

My mum enjoyed her respite stay at Heather View care home, she laughed and made lots of memories here, the staff were amazing with her, she felt safe here. Overall the best care home, I highly recommend it.

Heather View is a five star care home. Mum has been a resident for five years ow and has had exceptional care throughout that time. She is treated with extreme dignity and love from all the staff at all times. I cannot recommend Heather View enough if you want your loved one to be looked after in the most caring environment as possible. It really is a home from home.

When I ask mum if she likes Heather View she describes it as a "comfort blanket". You couldn't ask for more than that. Mum is well looked after and happy, the staff are fun and welcoming and it's always a pleasure to visit her.

I really have made the best decision as my Daughter is now my Daughter and not my carer.

My father became a resident following a stroke that he suffered a few months ago. The transition and transfer from hospital was seamless and the care that he has received since has been exceptional, kind , caring and attentive all of the time. Everyone is so friendly and professional providing me and my family with the confidence that my father is happy , comfortable and well looked after. Effie and Peace are always on hand to answer questions and help wherever they can .Thanks to all!

Heather View has provided excellent care for my Mum over the last 2 years. I really could not ask for anything more. She takes part in the different activities that are on offer and has been taken out on trips. Medical care is given with attention to all that is needed. The staff know my Mum so well and are always happy to explain how she is doing. I really cannot ask for any better care for my Mum. Thank you to all the staff.

The home, whilst very fancy front of house, is tired & lacks attention elsewhere. Wheelchairs are broken, bits missing, cutlery dirty & cheap. Food satisfactory but cold, on cold plates.

They are very attentive and great at communication, they really do care and that is so important to us!

Lovely light and airy residential care home. All staff are friendly caring and helpful. A warm inviting welcome from the first visit for both my parents and their month stay for respite.

My only issue I have is the clothes my husband wears have all shrunk which makes them uncomfortable for him to wear especially jumpers, joggers + cardigans.

Since my nan has been here we have had such great care they have all been so caring and welcoming and making my nan our family feel so comfortable, they are so kind and caring no matter how difficult things could be with my nan, I am so greatful for their care they have shown. honestly 10/10 experience.

When my nan was admitted, there was concern that she may have felt alone, as she was a very sociable person, and enjoyed company. However, the staff have shown extreme support and care for my nan, making sure she is never alone. For example, sitting with her at dinner and having conversations with her even though she was unable to fully respond back. The level of care relaxed any concerns knowing that she was in a comfortable environment and her needs were met fully. We are all so grateful for the job done at Heather view and we could not be more grateful.

My mum was transferred to Heather View in December 2024, we were all welcomed, the team always greeted us with a smile. I cannot voice how outstanding the home is. My mum is cared for with love and dignity, always. Family are treated inclusively. Every member of the team here are professional, caring and actively listen. My mum could not be cared for better. The home is beautiful, a home from home. Communication is outstanding, I could not recommend Heather View more highly. Thank you, beyond words.
