My mam has been in Park House as a resident since June 2022, at first I was very concerned about my mam going into a care home. My main concern was that Mam has been very active and independent all her life but she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's around five years ago and basically living on her
own had become unsafe. But within a couple of weeks of Mam being in Park House my concerns had disappeared. I believe Mam is in the best possible care home that we could possibly have chosen for her. The care Mam receives is second to none.

I am a regular visitor to Park House Care Home after it became my mum's home a year ago. I have found the staff really personable and helpful. I couldn’t fault them. My mum’s room is always clean and tidy with her washing back in her cupboards the following day, smelling fresh and clean. Being a regular
visitor I am able to see the quality and variety of foods served. Homemade desserts and fresh vegetables are always on the menu. I can honestly say we made the right choice when we picked Park House to become my mum’s home. I know she is happy and properly cared for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Park House to my friends.

Mam has been in Park House for over a year now. She suffers from Alzheimer's, but from first arriving to the present, she has been treated with the utmost respect, dignity, love and care. The staff are absolutely amazing - like one huge family, and that goes out to residents' relatives too; they also
go above and beyond to address any issues I have concerning Mam. I wouldn't want her to be anywhere else.

My uncle has been a resident at Park House Care Home for 15 months, in that time he has not complained about the care received, food or any other activities in the home. My uncle has stated that the staff are very nice, friendly and considerate. All aspects of his daily living are well taken care of.
As his next of kin, I agree with him on all of the above. Staff inform me by telephone promptly of any changes made to his care. I would have no concerns in recommending the home to friends and other family members.

My mum had been seriously ill in hospital and we were told she had to go to a nursing home. I rang Park House Care Home and they said they would welcome mum back.
From the day she arrived back home she has improved daily and is now back to her usual self.
The love and care she is shown by every
member of staff is amazing. I, also feel like I am part of the family at Park House and am always made to feel very welcome.

Love the fact that Park House Care Home really is a home-from-home. All the staff are like extended family and nothing is too much trouble. They all take such care of my mother-in-law far better than we would have managed as they understand her needs far better than us.

Lovely care home, friendly and great environment. All staff are extremely caring and will go above and beyond where possible. Professional and always clean environment. My nana has also found a friend in the staff and I love the special bond she has with certain members of staff. As a family, we are
very happy with our family member staying in such a lovely care home.

My father became a resident in Park House Care Home at the end of May 2022 we were all made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. My father died at the end of July 2022 and I have nothing but praise for the staff on the memory ward who made sure Dad received great care
which, as I lived 300 miles away, was very reassuring They always assisted with making sure we were able to talk to and see Dad using his smart device.

Very happy with the care my dad has received from all staff during his respite stay. The staff are brilliant with him and clearly understand his needs (he has dementia and Parkinson's). They treat him with great respect and dignity, which is lovely. He has enjoyed his time there. The home is immaculate,
and the food menu is as good or better than hotels/restaurants I have been in. Cannot fault the staff or the home at all; brilliant, and I would highly recommend.

Thank you so much to the manager and all the management and staff at Park House Care Home. Your kindness, professionalism and going that extra mile in caring for my dad during his respite stay with you really touched my heart. My dad really enjoyed and appreciated how each one of you took the time to
help, support and make him feel relaxed and that nothing was too much trouble.

Mum came into Park House after being discharged from the hospital. The manager and all the staff are amazing. The transformation in less than 24 hours was unbelievable. Mum’s mental health improved. She has started eating again the food is lovely, she informs me. The care home is lovely and like a hotel.
Thanks
to the manager and her team, my mum is in a much better place now. Finally, after 4 weeks of worrying about my Mum, I can sleep at night. You are a godsend. I am so grateful to you all.

My grandma has been a resident here following a hospital stay, from which she, unfortunately, did not recover. The staff treat her with the dignity she deserved throughout her short stay, keeping us as a family fully informed of everything.
In her final week, the staff kept her comfortable and liaised
with the community nursing team when required. Additionally, they cared for us as a family, nothing was too much trouble.

My Dad has been in here since September 2021, he is so well cared for and happy. What a difference we have seen in him. The home itself is lovely and feels very luxurious but the best thing about this home is the amazing staff, so friendly and professional and they have gone out of their way to reassure
us at every stage throughout the process. Especially two whose care of my dad made me feel comfortable and reassured. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home for your loved one.

After a very difficult decision and placing our dad in a care home, we couldn’t be happier with our choice. He is so well looked after with love and affection, the staff are amazing, so warm, welcoming, professional and kind. They helped put our minds and worries to rest through a difficult time and
supported the family as well as our dad, the dementia care is outstanding! The home itself is spotless, feels luxurious and every little thing has been thought of. It’s amazing to see the difference in Dad, he is so well looked after and I couldn’t recommend Park House highly enough. Thank you everyone at Park House.

My daughter finally got to see her grandmother after more than 18 months and said she didn't look a day older! Despite her age and frailty, Mum is happy and contented and I have the peace of mind that she is safe and well looked after. She is a long-term resident and the move to Park House Care Home
has undoubtedly not only improved her quality of life, but extended it. I can't thank the staff enough. They have been wonderful for and with her, and to the wider family also.

A wonderful care home! The staff are amazing, attentive, loving and kind - we have no worries knowing Mum is happy and looked after to a very high standard. Their efforts to care thru Covid-19 and lockdown was selfless. The efforts they went to, to keep residents happy and safe was wonderful.

My mum was placed in Park House as a step-down care on discharge from hospital on her journey home as she was in need of reablement to return home. She was treated with care and dignity. She is a very fussy eater but always had nice meals and a choice available. The staff treated her as family and she
enjoyed her stay at what was a troubling time for her.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.948) out of 10 for Park House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 32 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.948 for Park House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (363 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 383 Ratings = 4.948
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Park House Care Home is based on 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 57 registered maximum number of service users is 11.4, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
