I really can't give enough praise to the whole set up at Park House. Not having time to do any proper research, we chose Park House and I feel we couldn't have picked a better place. Staff are excellent, the place is modern, spotlessly clean with brilliant facilities (hotel-like). I still feel very
lucky that Mam is here as the time leading up to the move was very stressful but made easier by the team.
A special mention about the handling over this pandemic time, it is outstanding, keeping everyone safe and keeping in touch.

My mother-in-law became a resident here shortly before lockdown. The staff from the very first day have always been such professionals, always showing great care and compassion at all times to both my mother-in-law and to us, a very anxious family. During these past months through this terrible pandemic
the staff have still taken time to keep us in touch with updates on how she is and even arrange video calls to help us keep in contact with each other. The facilities are very clean and modern and there is always a warm, friendly welcome from the staff. My mother-in-law is happy, healthy and it’s obvious to see she is well cared for. As a family we feel so lucky that she so well looked after in such a warm, caring environment; a real home from home.

My 94-year-old father entered Park House in September this year. This was a big upheaval for someone who had been independent up until now. He found it initially hard to settle but the staff took time and care to find out his preferences. His introduction to Park House was made all the more difficult
because of Covid-19 regulations which meant I that I have not been able to visit him. The staff have been very good at letting me know how he is getting on and helping him talk to me over the phone, and installing a telephone which enables him to hear me very well as he is extremely deaf. His room is large and bright with a good size wet room with a shower. He was able to bring in his own bed, armchair, very large book collection and cd collection which has been invaluable to his well-being. Dad is also able to enjoy a bath and never feels rushed now the carers know that he prefers to be as independent as possible. I would recommend Park House - it dispelled my fears of Care Homes.

The care that was given to my mother was outstanding. The staff were amazing, not only to her but to us as well. They kept us informed of any changes in her health. The entertainment was really good, always something going on.
Well done to all.

Since the beginning of the Covid-19, situation Park House staff have been exemplary. My mum has felt safe and loved right through this whole terrible ordeal. And since the day she became a resident here. I only wish we could publicise the positive success of this care home through all of this tragic
event.
Keep up the fantastic work. And thank you so so much.

My mum has been a resident since February 2020 after being diagnosed with Dementia with Lewy Bodies. I cannot fault the care of the home as the staff have been wonderful and so caring. She is now 'end of life', and we couldn't ask for better care. The group should give the staff at this home a bonus
for the wonderful care and dedication they give to all their residents.

My wife has been a resident since February 2020, and she has been extremely well cared for; I don't think she could have been in a better place. All the staff are very caring, and since she started 'end of life' they couldn't have done more for us all.

A big thank you to the girls, who went above and beyond to make a Sunday lunch with our mum so special. As Mum wasn't well enough to go along to the dining room, as we had originally planned, they set up a lovely table in her room for us to enjoy lunch with her together. We all really appreciated their
kindness and attention.

My mother was taken care of for 7 years. In this time I cannot fault her care. The management and staff always went the extra mile to make my Mam comfortable and happy. There was always shows and activities going on and plenty of interactive things with residents and staff. Very pleased with the end

After many years of Mam asking me never to put her into "One of those places!", it has been quite a mixture of feelings for me over the last month but the staff here have been absolutely brilliant and Mam settled straight away, she is very happy here, she loves having a joke with the staff, really enjoys
all the activities and I know she is very well cared for. I can't believe the relief and contentment I feel knowing Mam is the happiest she's been for some time.

My mother's care was exemplary in all respects. She settled quickly, enjoyed meeting neighbours and developed a close relationship with all of the staff who without exception, treated my mother with care and compassion, respected her dignity and went that extra mile to ensure she was comfortable and

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.948)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.948) out of 10 for Park House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 32 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.948 for Park House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (363 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 383 Ratings = 4.948
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Park House Care Home is based on 32 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 57 registered maximum number of service users is 11.4, which has been reached with 32 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
