Willow Court is a residential service for people requiring specialist learning disability, autism and mental health support. It is located in Waltham Abbey.
Residents are aged between 18-65 and are a mixed gender group.
The service specialises in taking referrals for people requiring support due to a learning disability, autistic spectrum conditions and or mental health needs, who may have associated challenging behaviour, a history of misusing substances or may have complex needs.
The residents may have previously been detained in hospital and may be subject to conditions attached to their discharge or on a community treatment order.
Willow Court accommodates adults, over three floors with separate lounges on the ground and first floor. This ensures that there is a feeling of small service on each floor and provides good separation of support.
The service also provides two flats with their own private lounges that are ideal for building individual’s skills and confidence as they move through to their own tenancy.
All of the studio rooms are large and fully furnished with en-suite bathrooms, double beds, dining area and kitchenette facilities which provide service users with a rehabilitative environment.
The spacious communal lounge, large kitchen and activity room in the garden offer additional communal space and opportunities for skill building.
Local education centres and leisure facilities are accessible locally through walking, public transport and use of the transport provided at the service, providing an ideal base for skill-building and community participation, as well as employment, volunteering and social opportunities.
There is a specialist therapeutic team including an experienced registered manager, assistant psychologist, speech and language therapist and occupational therapist assistant. An experienced residential manager works alongside the team.
