My parents came for temporary respite care but became permanent residents soon after. My family are very pleased with the standard of care they receive. Carers and nursing staff are professional and treat Mum and Dad not only with respect but with warmth and kindness. Front of house staff greet us in
such a friendly way, it makes calling and visiting a pleasure. The activities bring out the best in Dad, and he settled in quickly. The handling of the coronavirus has been exemplary.

Poor communication and lack of transparency, not advised of Covid issue, despite being appointed representative of a patient with dementia, who should have been shielded. Inconsistent use of PPE was noted on Skype calls. The response was denial upon complaint and charged for an extra month, despite
not being able to provide a safe environment or service.

Fantastic room, food, care staff, management. The kind friendly staff not only took time to care for my dad but to really get to know him. They also cared greatly for my mum as she comes to terms with the situation. I can not fault any aspect of his care and will definitely want him to stay here again
if he needs further respite care.

I cannot praise all the staff too highly. When I first walked through the doors at Prestbury House I was in a very low, totally exhausted state. I was immediately met with the most wonderful kindness and care. My husband is here for just two week's respite but I'm sure we will be back. Thank you all

My dad has just died in Prestbury House after 5 and a quarter, happy, years there. During that time he really came out of his shell, enjoying trips and varied activities. During a short illness, he was well cared for, treated with dignity and shown great affection by all the staff. He died peacefully
in this own room. The staff have since supported and comforted us, his family. We could not have asked for more.

Accommodation organised well in advance of 2-week stay. Staff extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Rooms very comfortable and well-appointed. Lovely lounge and dining room. Facilities good. No shortage of activities which were diverse so something for everyone.

My brother and I were very pleased with the care that our mum received whilst in Prestbury House.
The staff were lovely with her and nothing was too much trouble as our mum had problems eating they were very patient with her.

I cannot praise the staff of Prestbury House enough. They have all taken such care and shown such love and support for my aunt over the past twelve months. The home, her room and all the residents' rooms are clean, bright and beautifully furnished.
The catering staff provided a wonderful choice of
food and did their best to please her changing appetite. She loved the trips the staff planned and again they did all they could to cater to her individual needs. I have always felt welcome on my visits and have been kept well informed as to my aunt's health and welfare.

I lived a long distance from my mum but I felt comforted that she was in the best possible place for her. Prestbury House is purpose-built, light and airy. The staff were so caring and respectful and I really believe they did care about her.

Hello, my name is Nishi, and I am the Home Manager here at Prestbury House.


I have over 30 years of experience working in hospitals across the world and worked as a Registered General Nurse and midwife in India from 1990 to 1994. I have worked in care home management for over 15 years.


Working in various roles across different organisations, primarily within a care home, has given me a deep appreciation for creating a nurturing and joyful environment for our residents. I am most inspired by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference, where each person feels valued, respected and celebrated for who they are and the journey they’ve lived. My goal is to bring warmth and happiness, to make our residents feel safe, well-cared for and uplifted. Being in a care home should feel like the beginning of a fulfilling chapter, where every resident’s wishes are honoured and their days are filled with joy, dignity and purpose.
