Came to visit my aunt recently at West Cliff Hall, I hadn't been before so didn't know what to expect. I was made to feel welcome around the home, the staff were friendly and the home looked clean and very nicely decorated My aunt is clearly being well looked after by all concerned, the room she has is warm and cosy and nice to see lots of her own personal belongings around.
Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. We appreciate hearing how welcome you were made to feel when you visited West Cliff Hall and how pleased you were with the home and how well your aunt is being cared for. It's great to hear that you are happy with her room and that she is...
I enjoy my days and I have made some friends too.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know how much you are enjoying your time at West Cliff Hall. We will pass this on to all the staff who will be so pleased to hear this.
I was very appreciative knowing my grandad was going into a care home to start with from the little bungalow he shared with my nan for a long period of time.
I can not express in words the gratitude I have towards the staff members for the dedication they show in their roles and the compassion that is shown not just to my grandad but to the other residents within West Cliff.
The care that is in place is person-centred to their needs and I praise you all at West Cliff for the 5* service that you deliver on a daily basis.
Your dedication to your roles is highly visible and does not go unnoticed.
So to wrap this up, those concerns and apprehensions I had at the start, are no longer there and I know my grandad is comfortable and that his support needs are met.
Again thank you all.
Kinda regards.
Thank you so much for your kind words about the care your grandad has received at West Cliff Hall. We are so grateful for your 5* review and your feedback about our compassionate and dedicated team members. It's our privilege to care for your grandad, we are so pleased he has settled in so well with us, and you feel assured he is in good hands.
While visiting Dad, he had a cup of coffee brought in by a very nice young lady. Also, the very nice and polite staff asked if they should come back later to change bedding and clean his room. He seems to be very happy with the service he’s getting.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are very pleased to hear our team are tending to your father's needs and he is happy with the service he is receiving. We shall pass your kind comments on to the team at West Cliff Hall.
My Grandfather-in-law is very happy living here even though it has been a short while and was talking about maybe taking part in one of the outings on a boat in the near future.
We are so pleased you and your daughter were made to feel welcome when you visited West Cliff Hall. It's our pleasure to look after your grandfather-in-law, and we are so pleased he has settled in with us so well, it's great he is interested in participating in some of our activities too. Thank you for your kind comments.
Mum has been in Westcliff Hall since March 2022 and has settled in well. The staff are very encouraging towards her, and she does try to join in all the activities that appeal to her. Thank you to all the staff for all your hard work and making the home a happy environment to live in. I would recommend the home to other people looking for residential care.
Very many thanks to you for submitting such positive comments on your Mum's care whilst she's been at West Cliff Hall. We're so pleased that she's settled in and joins in with the activities she enjoys. We're so proud of our teams and know that they will be so grateful to hear your really lovely feedback. Thanks again and best wishes to you.
Such a wonderful, friendly home; everyone is so kind and helpful. My brother is very happy at West Cliff Hall Care Home.
Very many thanks for taking the time to submit such a lovely review about West Cliff Hall. We're so glad to hear that your brother is happy there and enjoying life at the home.
My stay here has been fantastic. All the staff have been wonderful.
We are so pleased to hear how much you have enjoyed your stay with us, we shall share your positive comments with the rest of our wonderful team.
I had already viewed the home over a year ago just in case we needed it in the future and every member of staff I have dealt with has been very professional and genuinely caring. The care home was able to swiftly assess my father when we were having problems and admit him within a few days which made the entire process relatively stress-free. As this was only a short stay for respite I could not fully assess the activities, but the programme looked good. The standard of renovation and decoration of the original part of the building is very high. The room was spacious and en suite well designed but if staying for a longer period would need personal items/small furniture to feel homely.
Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased we were able to change your father's perception of living in a care home and help in his recovery. At West Cliff Hall, we know moving into a care home can be stressful for everyone involved, so we will always help in any way we can to make the...
Living here is like being in a big happy family.
We are so thrilled you feel this way and are very happy you are part of our Hartford Care Family.
They started care from when we arrived, made her tea, took her down for lunch while we made up the room to make it feel a little like home, showered her and washed her hair; she looked like a new lady. We have had a few troubles with settling in, it's nothing to do with West Cliff Hall, it's just circumstances, but they have made every effort to help my sister-in-law - they even moved her to another room and painted the door a different colour. Through the thunders storms, a member of staff sat with her to keep her feeling safe. They made a difficult situation a little easier for us all, so a big thank you to you all!
Thank you for your kind words about West Cliff Hall. We're pleased you were made to feel so welcome at the home and that your sister-in-law has been well cared for and feels safe. We will pass your lovely comments on to the whole team.
Mum has been at West Cliff now for ten months, she is happy, settled and well looked after. West Cliff Hall has a Facebook page and is excellent at posting pictures of the residents doing various activities during the week. Mum even went sailing this week! It is a great way of keeping up with what Mum is doing, as she doesn't remember it can be a good conversation starter during visits. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend West Cliff to anyone having to move a loved one to a care home. Keep up the good work.
What a fantastic review of West Cliff Hall! There is never a dull moment here and we really love helping our ladies and gentlemen to live their best lives with us. Thank you so much for your recommendation which we really appreciate and will share will all the team looking after your mum.

Despite the challenges and changes of the last few years, it has been reassuring to see the level of care my mum has received at West Cliff. Each member of staff has a level of awareness and understanding of my mum that I would expect if there were only a handful of residents. Thank you!
Thank you for your very kind words about West Cliff Hall. It has been a very challenging time for all of us here, but the care and safety of our residents are of paramount importance at all times. It is our pleasure to care for your mum and we will share your lovely comments with all the team who are looking after her.
Happy here, open spaces all around. The staff are professional and happy.
Thank you for your lovely words about West Cliff Hall. We really are one big happy family here in our lovely care home with its beautiful garden and fantastic views across the water. We are so glad you are part of our family.
We were very impressed at the welcome and all the effort that the staff put into making the Garden Party on June 3rd for the celebration of the Queens Platinum Jubilee so special. We were impressed with the BBQ and the general catering that had been done. Consideration had been given to entertainment for the little ones with a bouncy castle and for the adults with the live and very good singer. You could just tell that the staff also enjoyed it and Mum was singing along and even encouraged by a carer to get up and ‘dance’ (well move her arms and wiggle her hips!).
Thank you for your fantastic comments about West Cliff Hall. We are so glad you enjoyed our Queen's Platinum Jubilee garden party. We love organising these very special events for our ladies, gentlemen and loved ones as it really shows what a big happy family we all are. We will share your review with our terrific team members who organised the garden party.

My mother has never looked so well, she's radiant. The care she gets is considered and always in my mother's best interest. From the manager to the team, they care! I feel welcome whenever I visit and feel free to interact with the daily activities. Truly a blessing to be cared for in this beautifully located home.
What a fantastic review of West Cliff Hall. We too are delighted to see your mother glowing with wellness in our care. It is our pleasure to have you both as part of our very special West Cliff Hall family. We will share your lovely words with all our wonderful West Cliff Hall team.
This is my first time in the care home, and I could not manage without their help.
Thank you so much for your very kind words about West Cliff Hall. We love having you here as part of our happy West Cliff family, helping you live your best life with us.
At 95 years young my mother moved into West Cliff Hall Care Home initially for a period of respite following a couple of falls. We soon agreed that this was the level of support she needed for her future. Facilities are excellent inside the building with beautiful gardens and views across Southampton Water. Staff and management have been very friendly, and welcoming from day 1, supporting the life-changing transition for mother with utmost respect and understanding. A good programme of activities is provided and facilitated, and independence is encouraged with a careful eye on the health and wellbeing of residents. Visiting by family and friends is straightforward and welcomed, and we all feel and appreciate the homely atmosphere.
Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback about West Cliff Hall. It is our pleasure to care for your mother and provide her with a level of support to help her live her best life with us.
