My dad came to live in West Cliff Hall Care Home in December 2023 until he passed away with Dementia in May 2024.
We cannot thank the staff enough for the care and love they gave him. He was always clean, shaven and fed. The staff were caring and compassionate and always on call. My dad always had
a smile on his face and often told us how much they looked after him. Both my sister and I can't thank you enough.

Happy my mother is staying at West Cliff Hall. Staff are wonderful, always welcoming, and it is lovely to see how well they interact and care for Mum. Facilities and activities are great and she is always kept busy. Management team are always happy to discuss Mum's care and very supportive. Carers,
maintenance team, housekeeping and kitchen team are all involved with residents and make for a complete enriching environment. Thank you.

Dad's stay started poorly due to the room he was put in. One of your carers was very empathetic and compassionate to his problems and was instrumental in getting Dad moved to a much better room (an excellent room). This enabled Dad's stay to be more enjoyable.

Care for my nan has been attentive during her stay, particularly in adjusting to her needs after a serious fall. I struggle to find the words to describe how grateful and thankful myself and my family are of the depth of care given and shown to my father and us as a family during his short stay at West Cliff Hall.
Nothing was too much trouble, for Dad and for us, even thoughtful touches we hadn't even considered
were put in place to make him and us comfortable from the beginning and especially during his last week or so.
You made my father's last days more than we could have ever hoped for, your kindness brought more than a few tears to my eyes.
From the housekeeping staff to the manager and every person in between, you showed compassion, you always asked how we were, you always were ready and willing to help, to suggest something that could help and implement it straight away. So thank you, thank you, thank you, we could not have wished for a better place for him to spend his last days.

I have been visiting West Cliff Hall for just over a year to see my sister. The improvement in the car park has made a vast difference, especially for people who have walking or mobility difficulties.
I am always greeted by the staff in a friendly manner and I have noticed the staff treat my sister
with respect and dignity and when she needs help it is readily given.
The activities are well thought out and try to accommodate the likes of everyone.

Came to visit my aunt recently at West Cliff Hall, I hadn't been before so didn't know what to expect. I was made to feel welcome around the home, the staff were friendly and the home looked clean and very nicely decorated My aunt is clearly being well looked after by all concerned, the room she has
is warm and cosy and nice to see lots of her own personal belongings around.

I would like to start by highlighting the excellent support/care that has been provided to my grandad since he arrived at West Cliff Hall Care Home.
I was very appreciative knowing my grandad was going into a care home to start with from the little bungalow he shared with my nan for a long period
of time.
I can not express in words the gratitude I have towards the staff members for the dedication they show in their roles and the compassion that is shown not just to my grandad but to the other residents within West Cliff.
The care that is in place is person-centred to their needs and I praise you all at West Cliff for the 5* service that you deliver on a daily basis.
Your dedication to your roles is highly visible and does not go unnoticed.
So to wrap this up, those concerns and apprehensions I had at the start, are no longer there and I know my grandad is comfortable and that his support needs are met.

While visiting Dad, he had a cup of coffee brought in by a very nice young lady. Also, the very nice and polite staff asked if they should come back later to change bedding and clean his room. He seems to be very happy with the service he’s getting.

I visited with my daughter today who is the great-granddaughter of a resident. We were made to feel very welcome the staff were very friendly offering us coffee and chatted when they could.
My Grandfather-in-law is very happy living here even though it has been a short while and was talking about
maybe taking part in one of the outings on a boat in the near future.

Mum has been in Westcliff Hall since March 2022 and has settled in well. The staff are very encouraging towards her, and she does try to join in all the activities that appeal to her. Thank you to all the staff for all your hard work and making the home a happy environment to live in. I would recommend
the home to other people looking for residential care.

My father was initially very reluctant to come to a care home for much-needed respite care, but in the space of a week, the staff had completely turned around his attitude and contributed to a remarkable recovery from a series of falls at home - which can only be due to the quality of care provided.
I
had already viewed the home over a year ago just in case we needed it in the future and every member of staff I have dealt with has been very professional and genuinely caring. The care home was able to swiftly assess my father when we were having problems and admit him within a few days which made the entire process relatively stress-free. As this was only a short stay for respite I could not fully assess the activities, but the programme looked good. The standard of renovation and decoration of the original part of the building is very high. The room was spacious and en suite well designed but if staying for a longer period would need personal items/small furniture to feel homely.

Thank you to all the staff at West Cliff Hall Care Home. From the first day of the manager showing us around, we were made to feel welcome within the week my sister-in-law had moved in; the staff were so helpful she was made to feel at ease from her first minute.
They started care from when we arrived,
made her tea, took her down for lunch while we made up the room to make it feel a little like home, showered her and washed her hair; she looked like a new lady. We have had a few troubles with settling in, it's nothing to do with West Cliff Hall, it's just circumstances, but they have made every effort to help my sister-in-law - they even moved her to another room and painted the door a different colour. Through the thunders storms, a member of staff sat with her to keep her feeling safe. They made a difficult situation a little easier for us all, so a big thank you to you all!

Mum has been at West Cliff now for ten months, she is happy, settled and well looked after. West Cliff Hall has a Facebook page and is excellent at posting pictures of the residents doing various activities during the week. Mum even went sailing this week! It is a great way of keeping up with what Mum
is doing, as she doesn't remember it can be a good conversation starter during visits. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend West Cliff to anyone having to move a loved one to a care home. Keep up the good work.
