The home is very welcoming and has a fresh sophisticated interior. The staff I have met are all very approachable and friendly. The home is very secure. West Cliff Hall feels like a big family all working together to provide good care. They are always very accommodating and provide lots of activities for the residents to enjoy. I really enjoy seeing all of the wonderful things they get up to on their Facebook page. It’s a great way to stay connected.
What lovely words about West Cliff Hall. It is a pleasure to look after your loved one. We are one big happy family here and we ensure there is never a dull moment with all our activities for our ladies and gentlemen to enjoy. We shall share your wonderful comments with all the West Cliff Hall team.
I have found the placement for my mother to be satisfactory, the staff of continuous employment over the last two years have had a great presence at all times. However, over this period of time, there has been many changes of staff and three new managers, but on this point, I would like to express my thanks for the continuous support of the staff and manager. I feel its rooms are looking very tired and in need of refurbishment. In my opinion, the bedrooms are the heart of the residents, so brightness and being inviting would be an advantage. I have asked for my mother to be moved to a brighter room.
Thank you for your review and the points you raise in it about West Cliff Hall. We are doing everything we can to meet your requirements for your mother and will be in contact with you once we have found a satisfactory solution.
My mother-in-law was a respite resident at West Cliff Hall. Although it was a short stay she enjoyed it. The care is of a high standard and the staff are very friendly. I would definitely recommend West Cliff Hall and will be looking to book another respite stay.

Having lost my wife in a horrific accident, I spent some time in hospital. My family obviously considered that I could not look after myself and they collected me from the hospital and bought me to West Cliff Hall Nursing Home. Living here is easy. The rooms are very comfortable, the food is excellent and the staff make us all very welcome.

On arrival, you are always warmly greeted - often my visits are booked at short notice and they are always accommodating, there is nothing to hide! My elderly mother is treated with dignity and kindness - they are very caring on the whole. A lovely birthday afternoon was organised and even the chef went the extra mile! Management down, this is a well run home!

My partner stayed here for 5 months or so and I will say the staff are all lovely and so friendly. The food is good and I'm allowed to stay to lunch on occasions with my partner which is great. The gardens are well cared for and the back has a great aspect to Southampton Water, which enables residents to view all the cruise and cargo ships that use the port.
What a lovely review of West Cliff Hall. It was our pleasure to care for your partner and we were delighted you could join us for lunch on several occasions. We are so lucky we are in such a spectacular location overlooking Southampton Water, which always provides lots of talking points for our residents and team. We shall share your wonderful comments with all the team here.
The care provided to my mother has been of the highest level with extremely compassionate carers, who treat her with respect, dignity and friendship. The only area of concern has been the turnover in management. However, the recent appointment of the manager who has previous experience of this home appears to be a step in the right direction to resolve this issue.
Thank you for your lovely review of West Cliff Hall and it's our pleasure to look after your mother at our wonderful care home. We are delighted to welcome Aga as our new manager who says: "I am very pleased to be back at West Cliff Hall to lead and inspire a great group of people and to help our residents live life to the fullest."
We have also been pleased with all aspects of the service and care given to them in their later years. Thank you to all the staff especially recently when Mum passed away.

I have been here for 2.5 years and have mostly enjoyed it. I have completed the ratings below would sum it up for me. I have had a few problems with another resident but she is no longer a resident here. It was sorted out by the senior carers. The food is satisfactory because it is sometimes very good and sometimes cold. The menu needs to be sorted out as recently there is only one main course and only one vegetarian course. I understand that there is now a trolley to keep the food warm.
Thank you for taking the time to review West Cliff Hall. We are glad we were able to resolve the issue you mentioned and we are reviewing our menus to ensure that there is a good choice for everyone. We would be delighted to discuss any other suggestions you may have about how we can continue improving our care for you.
