42 Hillmorton Road, Rugby CV22 5AD
Built in 1896, Elmhurst Assisted Living is a wonderfully updated grade-two-listed home set in beautiful and relaxing gardens. Elmhurst had fallen into disrepair before the Pinnacle Care Group purchased it in 2008. They renovated the building to ensure it was suited for comfortable living, whilst ensuring to maintain its attractive periodic features.
In the main building Elmhurst offers ten luxury, en-suite bedrooms for assisted independent living for older people, as well as younger people with g or early-onset dementia. Elmhurst predominantly supports adults with Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome (alcohol-related dementia) or acquired brain injury.
To the rear of the main building and accessed through its own entrance from Hillmorton Road, Elmhurst has 13 "care as required" assisted or independent living one bedroom/studio apartments for adults with dementia over the age of 55. These are available with or without a care package.
It also offers day care at Elmhurst, as part of the Pinnacle Care Day Club.
Elmhurst is conveniently situated in Rugby Town centre in close proximity to Rugby train station and with excellent access to the motorway networks including the M6, M1 and M45. Its excellent location makes it convenient for outings to the shops, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre, two churches and a library as well as trips to the weekly farmers’ market in the town.
Residents have full control of their lives; they control their own budget, decide what they want from the shops and choose their own meals.
A team of highly qualified, caring and attentive staff focus on the individual personalities of all residents. Their dedication and excellence can be observed across all aspects of care including hospitality, cooking and in organising activities and excursions for all of the residents. It provides the highest quality of care in a warm and homely environment.

The Review Score of 8.8 (maximum of 10) for Elmhurst Care Facility is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 2 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Elmhurst Care Facility in Google's Search Results - more info
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.
The Average Rating of 4.5 for Elmhurst Care Facility is calculated as follows: ( (13 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 4.5
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.
1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.
If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.
The 4.25 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Elmhurst Care Facility is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:
3 + 0.25 = 3.25
Target of 2 positive Reviews (10 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 2 Reviews ÷ 2 Target = 1.000
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

Review submitted from a Postal Card by Lucy F (Granddaughter of Resident) on Wednesday 17 January 2018. Relates to January 2018.
All staff were very welcoming and did everything they could to settle my nan quickly, making adjustments to the room.
The accommodation is lovely with two big lounges and a separate dining area.
My nan said the food was really good and they looked after her really well during respite of four weeks.
There are not many residents so they get a lot of personal care from a small team of friendly staff.
They all couldn't do enough for us and we would highly recommend.
How likely would you be to recommend Elmhurst Care Facility? Extremely Likely
Virginia Bowen, Managing Director at Elmhurst Care Facility responded to this review on 17 Jan 2018:
