CQC Outstanding speaks for itself. No other nursing home came close and my sister viewed many. Mother loved the home from the moment she arrived. Mother received love and excellent care from all areas. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Mother was in the home for 20 months, every day a happy one. She died recently in a very loving, caring, dignified home!

My mum is a resident of Hill House Home the people who work there are always really kind and helpful. The activities they do are great fun and we often get involved. The manager is always available, she never seems to have a day off. The home is so lovely and the owners have thought very carefully about what people like mum like. O can't recommend this home highly enough.

A much needed period of respite for my Dad following a long hospital admission. Dad's wellbeing has greatly improved during his stay. Every effort was made to make him feel valued.

My grandmother entered the home in a very poorly way with seemingly not long to go.
Once in the home and under the care of the staff she settled very well and began to recover. Within a few months, she was really thriving and in excellent health and back to her old self.
This was totally down to the wonderful care of the staff and the camaraderie of the fellow residents.
She continues to thrive and has been there 3 years now.

I am so glad she is here and we were recommended Hill House.

My Mother-in-law entered Hill House 3 months before my Wife died. When she took up residence she was in a poor state of health, confused and dehydrated. Very soon, with care and regular meals, she started to get back to her old self. With the devotion and care of the staff, she coped with the loss of her Daughter. My eternal thanks.

Hill House Nursing and Dementia Home have looked after my father for four years. On average I visited twice per week and on every occasion, my dad was very well groomed. The staff treated him like family with respect, compassion and companionship. The staff at all levels were incredible from the cleaners the carers to the management they were all fantastic and treated him like family.

As Power of Attorney for a friend of 102 - a resident at Hill House for the past 2 months - I have been impressed by the manner in which both management and staff communicate with residents. This is done with great kindness and dignity. There is a great effort to interact with residents by providing a programme of activities each day, and those that are able are taken out in the minibus to various venues, such as the local garden centre.

The home is spacious and attractively furnished, and the residents' accommodation well presented. I am kept advised of my friend's health issues and requirements. On entering the home, one is struck by the friendliness and dedication generated by the staff.

We urgently had to find a home for my husband following a fall at home which resulted in him breaking his hip.
This was not easy as he has Parkinson's and it was difficult to find an appropriate home.
We had reservations about placing him in what is mainly a home for patients with dementia but the care, attention and dedication of the staff have been exceptional.
As a family, we are treated with respect and are welcomed by all the staff.
My husband is treated with dignity and kindness.
The activities programme and staff are excellent.

I would have no reservations in recommending this home.

The original impression when you enter the home is very welcoming, clean and bright with smiling faces. The activity ladies are always busy with exercises for the residents and communal singing from well-presented large type leaflets.

A summer party outside was organised by Hill House. The staff are very attentive and kind, they treat all residents with great compassion and tenderness. Special events are frequently organised when relatives are always welcome to attend.

My aunt has lived in Hill House for 5 years. She is very well cared for. Excellent adjustments have been made to her care as her dementia has gotten worse. She loves the daily activities. I see my aunt different days and times of the day, she is always well dressed, there is always a drink beside her which is very good.

My mum lived in this home as well, unfortunately only for 9 months, before she died in 2015. I put my mum in Hill House because of the care of my aunt receives I knew my mum would be well looked after Hill House. The staff are all fantastic, they care for the residents so very well.

This is the best care home that I considered for my husband. The home is bright, well decorated with attractive fixtures and fittings. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Staff are always cheerful and attentive. They work with relatives to do their best for the resident. Staff ratio seems very good and any problems are treated seriously and are addressed, practical and medical.

Having been closely involved with 4 different care homes over the last 5 years with firstly my late mother and now my father, I can most definitely say that Hill House is far and away the best. It is always full, with a waiting list, and no wonder. The best thing about Hill House is the positive and friendly ethos of every member of staff. The managers are always accessible and do not hide away in offices. This home does not employ any agency staff and that makes a real difference. A small example, the cook took the trouble to come and talk to Dad and find out what food he liked, and assure him that if there was something on the menu didn't like, an alternative would always be provided. Communication with managers and staff has been excellent and every resident has a named nurse so everybody knows who to contact if there is a query.

I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about Hill House, they actually achieve what probably many care homes set out to, but fail to.

My aunt was resident at Hill House Nursing and Dementia Home for 3 and a half years until she passed aways on 28th January 2017. Before coming here, she went to another care home owned by the same group. Throughout she received the very highest standard of care and compassion, consistently delivered with dignity. Hill House Nursing and Dementia Home were very good at keeping me informed of my aunt's health and any concerns and regular review meetings were held. Suffice to say, her family knew she was in safe hands and we never had any cause for concern. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.

Mum was in Hill House for about 5 years. I cannot fault the care received. I got regular updates on her health by phone and email. The home is clean, bright and well staffed with many stimulating activities provided.

A testament to their attitudes was how upset the staff were when mum passed away. She was almost family to them. She was so fortunate to spend her final years in such a caring home.

My wife has been a resident at Hill House Nursing and Dementia Home for approximately two years. I cannot emphasise too strongly how well she is cared for in a warm, friendly and clean environment. Care is provided by mainly Nepalese young ladies who speak excellent English and are fully aware of the needs of the residents. Clinical care is provided by fully qualified nurses along with visiting general practitioners supported by visiting optician, physiotherapist, dentist and chiropodist. Two ladies produce regular entertainment in, and outside, at places of interest. Excellent food is provided by an onsite kitchen, the menu varies depending on the individual needs of the residents. I am grateful to the staff for providing excellent care.

Dad has lived at Hill House Nursing and Dementia Home for 18 months now. During his stay, he has been treated with dignity and respect. More importantly, the staff at Hill House Nursing and Dementia Home are happy and obliging. They know Dad and his needs so care for him beautifully. The nice thing is Dad and our family know all the nurses and carers, this is because the home does not use agency staff which makes a huge difference and gives everyone peace of mind.

My aunt is at Hill House she didn't want to go she moved in almost a year ago. I know immediately it was the home for her they were so welcoming it felt like home from home. She has improved since being there she hardly walked and didn't have anything to talk about. Now with the hard work from the staff, she is mobile and has been off on outings to some place or another usually a garden centre of the pub.

The ladies and gentlemen who work at Hill House are some if the kindest and caring people I have ever met.
