My father has lived at Moorlands Lodge for the last six months, and he has settled very well. I am reassured he is safe and well looked after by the staff at the home. Dad is very complimentary of the food on offer and enjoys the variety of activities available on a weekly basis too.

I moved to Moorlands Lodge in November last year to move closer to my family. The staff and other residents are all lovely. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

I have been visiting my friend at Moorlands Lodge for the last two years and have nothing but positive things to say. The staff ar so friendly, and nothing is is ever too much trouble. On top of this, the care, the food and apartments are all of a fantastic standard, and the residents who live at Moorlands Lodge all seem very happy and sociable. I plan to join the community as a resident at some point in the near future based on my experience so far.

My mother moved into Moorlands in late July 2020 - not an ideal time with the Covid restrictions. This move was necessary for her, and I am pleased to say we chose an excellent new home. The staff are fantastic as are the facilities. Despite the Covid limitations, there have been a good set of activities and also personal care opportunities. The team has been especially helpful with visits immediately after her move and when my brother visited for the first time in 6 months.

The facility was very helpful in admitting my Mother after a brief stay in hospital, and the staff were kind and efficient. Due to current pandemic restrictions, we were only able to visit in the designated gazebo facility, so the family could not see her in her own accommodation. My mother (who is half-blind) found it difficult to settle as she didn't know anyone. As someone who is intensely religious, it was sad that it was 10 days before we could arrange for a priest to call. I know of other care facilities who rank clergy on a par with medical visitors (body and soul both need help) and the visits are not counted as family ones. The following questionnaire has been answered by my Mother.

I have very much enjoyed my time at Moorlands Lodge so far - some of the highlights are the sense of safety and security, the activities programme and the meals in the restaurant.

Overall, my mother, my sister and I have been very satisfied with her experience as a Moorlands resident for over five years. The atmosphere is very pleasant and friendly, and it always feels welcoming to me as a visitor. One of the most positive aspects is the number and variety of activities. The staff in the Activities Team are enthusiastic, caring and accommodating of all the residents' requirements. The variety of trips and in-house activities is much appreciated. Having a strong Christian faith, she appreciates being able to go to the Thursday morning service at St Luke's church in Grayshott fortnightly, and the Fellowship Group that meets on the alternate week. She enjoys her food, which is predominantly of a very good quality, and the atmosphere between the staff and the residents in the dining room is very pleasant. She has also found the maintenance staff very helpful and efficient whenever something of that nature is required.

Difficult to do this as my mother joined you at the start of the Covid19 pandemic.
This means we have only had contact with mum via FaceTime and now more recently one visit a week. We have not really been able to get a first-hand feel of the home.

Having said that my mother has settled in well despite the difficult time and she is giving us the feeling that she is settled and happy. The credit for this is entirely due to the care of the staff at Moorlands Lodge.

My parents checked into Moorlands for two weeks respite care whilst some bathroom renovation work was completed on their house. My dad is 86 and in reasonable health; my mum is 83 and suffers with Dementia (Stage 4: Moderate Cognitive Decline).
The accommodation and food was excellent - this for them was the highlight. They did participate in some of the activities but given my mum's anxiety levels, it wasn't a major success.

The staff overall were excellent too. My only comment was I would have liked to receive feedback on how they were settling in - perhaps via email, as tracking staff down during visits can be problematic due to limited time and also their availability.

Overall Experience
Mum and Dad stayed at Moorlands Lodge Hindhead for a respite period of 2 weeks.
All the staff treated them with kindness and respect. A very detailed assessment took place before they stayed to ensure medications, likes and dislikes, favourite things too, etc. were known and that mum and dad settled in quickly.
Staff were always on hand to assist but never intrude, giving mum and dad their privacy and independence but the family assurance they were being looked after very well and were happy.
Every day the activities team met mum and dad personally to see if there was anything they might be interested in taking part in; singing, quizzes, art, outings, etc. The food choice was excellent, they have never eaten so well, cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Moorlands Lodge is managed very well with a quiet, professionalism, never pushy or intrusive. Family were always made welcome and encouraged to visit.

We would not hesitate to recommend Moorlands Lodge.

My mother moved to Moorlands Lodge in October 2019, having lived alone and fairly independently for a number of years. The transition was one that we were happy to accept (as I and other family members felt she needed more support than she had hitherto admitted), however, we approached it with some trepidation knowing the significant change which would be involved for her.
In the event that trepidation proved unnecessary. She has made the move and adapted more easily than we could have hoped, and the welcome extended to her at Moorlands has been a large part of that. I have found the staff to be professional, caring and understanding at all stages - and above all, they have been kind. My mother regularly comments on how nice her surrounds are and how accommodating everyone is. She has made friends and is more cheerful and happy in herself than I have seen her in a long time.

Also, the consistent efforts of the staff to keep relatives informed and involved are very much appreciated!

A thoroughly worthwhile 2 weeks respite stay at Moorlands Lodge. Without exception, we found all member of staff encountered to be kind, helpful, cheerful individuals who gave us the level of care and contentment we needed.
Our rooms were light and spacious, beds warm and comfortable. Room heating ideal, built-in kitchenette a superb facility, curtains light and light-proof. All ideal.
Food generally good, though at times the greens were not sufficiently cooked and the variety could have been better. But the majority of meals were to our liking and enjoyed.

If the need arises we will have no hesitation in returning to Moorlands Lodge.

Very caring and efficient staff. Accommodation comfortable and everything kept in working order due to very good maintenance staff. Nursing care is very good indeed if you need it. The activities group work very hard and always cheerful. Restaurant staff also very capable and one would never be hungry as there is a great choice of food.

However, this comes at a price and it is very expensive and one hopes to die before the money runs out.

I am currently enjoying my first stay in a care home and generally speaking I am finding it to be a very pleasant experience. My room is extremely comfortable with a pleasant view over a garden area and a wonderful Fir Tree. Amenities are excellent as is the catering.

My brother and I were in need of urgent help in placing our mother in care after she was incapacitated with labyrinthitis which had adversely affected her balance. Moorlands Lodge and their outstanding management and staff in general were really compassionate and efficient in taking her in and giving her the care and attention she needed to get her back on her feet. She is now living in her own home again, with domiciliary care and hopefully will continue so until things get too much for her, at which time I am sure we will turn to Moorlands Lodge again, probably for a permanent stay.
