My husband has just returned from Springfield House after two weeks of respite, and from going in to coming home, his care was exemplary. The manager and admin made my husband and myself so welcome. The staff were wonderful caring for him and nothing was too much trouble, a big shout out to a particular member of staff, you were amazing with him and always with a big smile on your face. The facilities are amazing and the home is bright, airy and lovely and clean. The rooms are great and well-maintained. I have used Springfield House on numerous occasions and wouldn't take my husband anywhere else.

If you're looking for a care home for your loved one I highly recommend you check out this place.

Mum was well looked after during her respite stay. All staff remembered my Mum's name which was a real comfort to her. Would definitely recommend Springfield House.

Went for 2 weeks of respite. The whole place needs refurbishment. The first set of towels I was given was full of holes. There were no grab rails in the bathroom, which I found very unusual for a care home. My bed was never changed during the 2-week period.

Can thoroughly recommend Springfield House. Having come to the very difficult point whereby my mother was unable to stay in the house, the next most difficult decision is where will your most loved one be cared for and happy?
All too often I've visited elderly family or friends who are in a care facility and whilst 'technically' they may be OK and looked after, there's never really enough staff at 'all times' and it feels like it's often the bare minimum.
From the moment you walk into Springfield - fresh, clean, well staffed. Great communal areas. My Mum had a lovely room. Fresh towels and cleaner in her room daily. Her own phone is in her room.
Staff always come round with tea/biscuits, fruit, meal choices etc. The hairdresser visited often. Activities. Outings. Glass of wine with a meal. Coffee mornings. Seating in Garden. Events.

Very well maintained, how can I say, always felt 'nice', not just doing what they need to do. Good communication with billing/admin if required.

The first impression from walking through the door was 'Wow' like being in a hotel on holiday. The decor is homely and welcoming, the rooms are a great size and the staff are amazing. Nothing was too much trouble! Grandma's bedroom was changed around to suit her needs and to make her feel safe and welcome. The home visit to meet Grandma first was a great touch. The gardens are beautiful and the entertainment is great for the residents.

My father stayed in Springfield House for 6 weeks. The care staff were exceptional, they provided individual care as required but also encouraged and supported independence. Management were lovely. The facilities and activities were plentiful. Meals were great and a varied choice with regular refreshments during the day to encourage hydration. Overall, outstanding home and excellent service. I would recommend to others.

At the end of life for Dad, the staff welcomed us (as they always have) to treat their home as ours. This allowed us to be with Dad until the end. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the care they showed Dad was amazing. At Dad's final departure to the chapel of rest, the staff respectfully formed a guard of honour to mark his leaving. The care and compassion from the staff to dad was overwhelming showing their care.

Our father was in Springfield for 8 months and it was the best 8 months we could have wished for before he passed away. The management were outstanding, along with all of the staff. Our father was happy, content and cared for amazingly. We could not ask for anything more. Thank you each and all of you for your care. We will forever be grateful.

Since a second member of staff has been employed for well-being, there has been a great improvement in the amount of activities on offer to the residents. This has changed the whole atmosphere of the home and is definitely what my mum needs. She is no longer able to occupy herself, and in the past or on days when there is nothing going on she gets bored, leading to low mood. I am very pleased that the well-being team is now starting to work at weekends, which was always a very quiet time with nothing going on.

My aunt stayed for two weeks of respite care because of work being carried out in her home. We found the facilities to be first class, with friendly, attentive staff available at all times. Rooms are bright and airy, food is good with plenty of choice, and relatives are able to discuss residents' care at any time.

Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The move into care has been difficult for my mother, but I am delighted that she appears settled now. Recently she has started to engage with staff and other residents and is taking part in activities. Everyone in the home has been wonderful and I would like to thank them for taking such good care of my mother!

The care home is a safe and secure building for the residents. There are multiple choices for meals every day and activity day on Tuesday's coffee morning, which is well attended. Staff are attentive to residents and nothing seems to be a bother, everyone is well catered for. When we visit we are made welcome and kept informed of Mother-in-law's progress. There are other activities that take place, but do not know if well attended by residents. Overall, our family are very pleased with the care and set up of Springfield House.

My mam was a resident at Springfield House from May 2023. The staff were wonderful with my mam. The home has a lovely, open, welcoming feel to the place and it gave our family great comfort that she was in such a warm and friendly setting. Unfortunately, Man's dementia deteriorated significantly so she was unable to remain at Springfield House. During the time that Mam was transitioning to her new setting, the staff at Springfield House were fantastic, even though my mam had developed some challenging changes due to her dementia.

I've been thoroughly impressed by the standards of the home in Low Fell and the dedication of the staff that work there. My interactions, although brief, led me to believe that my mother's needs were taken care of. The surroundings, the staff and the caring attitude everyone showed really left a lasting impression. My elderly mum was always smiling, so I knew she was happy there, and a happy Mum equals a happy daughter! Thanks so much.

My father-in-law has received excellent care since coming into the home in March. The staff are caring and compassionate. We have been kept up to date with changes in his condition as they arise. It is greatly reassuring to us to know he is so well cared for. I would like to thank all those involved in his care.
