Springfield House Care Home

I continue to be happy with the care my mum receives. The staff who deliver the actual care and support to my mum in particular are very good. Many are excellent. If I had a criticism at all, it would be with a feeling of loss of morale with the care and cleaning staff of late. It is my opinion that they need to be valued by senior management and retained. They are the ones who I feel need to be commended.

My husband was in Springfield for almost 2 years, sadly he passed away in December 2024 after suffering a stroke. The end-of-life care given to him was amazing, as well as looking after my husband, myself and my family, were treated with empathy and compassion by all members of the staff. God bless them all, truly wonderful, thank you all.

I love the care home and staff that my Grandma is in. We always feel welcome and I feel like Grandma is always looked after well. The staff can have a good joke with her, as well as the care side they do. I've been there when they've had entertainment on and have thought that's is great for the residents and I enjoyed it as well.

My mum and dad are safe, happy and very well cared for.

My sister has resided in Springfield for almost 3 years. The initial settlement was not too good, but she soon after settled and has been happy for much of her time. She describes her new home as "I love it here, I am so happy.". The family are comforted by her situation now. The staff are first class - we are thankful for their caring natures. We would not hesitate to recommend Springfield to anyone.

The care home itself is outstanding as are all the people who work there, I can't praise them enough.

My dad is very happy at Springfield House Care Home, he came to live here in April 2024, his mood and physical health have improved dramatically. It's lovely to know he is well looked after. My only criticism would be staffing levels aren't always ideal, particularly when staff have lots of dependent clients. Despite this, I find them, without exception, friendly, helpful and caring.

I find the staff to be attentive to me mum's needs and she seems to have a good relationship with them.

Springfield House Care Home is a home with a lot going for it. I find all staff well equipped and very polite and professional, they will go out of their way to help or assist to any problem that needs sorting. After quite a few visits to care homes, we found Springfield House Care Home more suitable for our mam. The staff are so nice and make us feel at ease leaving mam in their care. The staff inform us by telephone if mam has any issues, so that goes a long way for us. It took a long time to decide that mam needs 24 hour care, and we have made the right choice with Springfield House Care Home.

Mam is well looked after by sympathetic staff, good job, well done.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The care home is very clean, tidy, warm and comfortable. Rooms are kept clean, tidy and warm. Staff are very helpful at all times, nothing is too much bother. Food is good and plentiful. Plenty of entertainment for my mother-in-law.

The wife has been in the care home since April 2024, she is very happy with the care she receives.

Springfield is a great environment for my elderly mother. Staff are caring and friendly and treat my mother with respect. They always take time to chat with her and nothing is a bother. There are plenty of activities and every now and again my mother gets out on a bus trip and is well looked after. I would have no hesitation in recommending Springfield and am pleased we chose it as my mother's home.

My father is still there and even he admits it's the best place for him now which is a great relief to my sister and myself knowing he is safe, happy and making friends.

We spent years trying to persuade my mother to leave her house and go into care for her own safety, but she fought it vehemently. She eventually agreed to go to Springfield House for a trial and is now there permanently. She absolutely loves it! She has nothing but praise for every single one of the carers, who seem to see their roles as a vocation, not a job. Her greatest accolade came when asked what it was like at my brother's party: "It's not like a care home with carers, it's like being at home with friends" was her reply. You can't say more than that! Thank you Springfield!
