When my mother was recently diagnosed with vascular dementia I found the manager and staff at The Westbourne to be extremely helpful and caring. I find their positive 'can do' attitude to be very uplifting and their cheery, friendly greeting when I visit, is much appreciated. They allow my mother to be as independent as is feasible but are always there to assist when necessary.

My Father was a resident at The Westbourne for six months. He had numerous health issues along with dementia. Despite some challenging behaviour as a result of his dementia, the staff at the home always treated him with professionalism, compassion and patience. They always kept the family informed of any changes to Dad's care, we felt confident that he was being cared for with kindness and respect. I would wholeheartedly recommend this home to any family who are making this difficult decision.

At the time of visit, I was met by nursing staff who gave me an update on mum's condition and how she had been up to my arrival.
Observed excellent hands-on care and good staff to client ratio.
Accommodation and facilities extremely clean and pleasant smelling.

My mum is always very clean and nicely turned out.

My dad had to go into respite suddenly and I was therefore very apprehensive about finding the right care for him but my fears evaporated once he was settled in at The Westbourne Care Home.
All the team were lovely and caring with my dad and had all the necessary controls and checks in place in relation to medication etc.
The equipment in the home (beds, bathrooms in particular) was suited to my father's needs and they could not have done any more to respect and care for my dad.

Thank you, The Westbourne Team.

This being my first time visiting a relative or friend in any care establishment, I was overwhelmed by the amount of care being offered to the residents. All the staff seem to take great care and time to communicate to help the residents in their needs. Every time I've visited there was always a warm welcome whether it was from the carers or even the management.

Couldn't be happier with the Westbourne. The staff and home are excellent, all very friendly and caring.

We looked around a lot of homes and this was the only one that actually felt like a real home rather than 'a home'.

We have been so happy with the care from all the staff here in Westbourne Holmes Chapel. My friend has every help and encouragement while he has been a resident here. The staff are wonderful, patient and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. He has enjoyed his food and was always clean and tidy and the manager was always available if we had any questions. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.

My father has been in other care homes recently and not settled or been admitted to hospital swiftly after arriving, however, he has settled quickly at Westbourne and we have been more than happy with the care he's received/continues to receive. The staff are lovely, caring, knowledgeable and really spend quality time with the residents I warmly recommend it.

Over the past 2 1/2 years mum has had fantastic care through every stage of the dementia, from the challenging wondering times preventing falls to end of life care where mum was looked after right to the end with a senior sitting with her all night as mum passed away. I cannot thank all the staff enough.
