The Westbourne Care Home offers luxurious, five star accommodation in the affluent and engaging Holmes Chapel. Despite the idyllic location, the excitement and bustle of the city is far closer than you might think. Holmes Chapel is only 25 miles from Manchester and 20 miles from stoke-on-Trent, and superb transport links mean the two cities are merely minutes away by road or rail. The home provides nursing, dementia nursing, day care, residential and personal care and respite care.

The Westbourne is registered to provide care for up to 50 elderly residents in two styles of en-suite bedrooms over three floors. Each room is decorated to five star standard with luxurious fixtures and fittings throughout. All rooms come with flat screen TV, telephone point, stylish and contemporary furnishings and are equipped with all the latest safety features. Choose from a standard or superior room.

My grandfather has been at The Westbourne for just over a year. The improvement in his condition since before he came is dramatic. I could not wish for a more conscientious management and staff team, who demonstrably put the best interests of residents at the centre of what they do.

My mother has taken to the care home after being in hospital for 5 weeks and we were very pleased with the care they gave her. She is in a flat and doing very nicely. She is also pleased that care they give her has worked. Thank you.

My father has only been at The Westbourne Care Home since the end of January to present. The Westbourne Care Home is of a high standard. The staff are helpful and friendly. Bedrooms are a high standard of decor.

My mum moved to The Westbourne in September 2015 when the home she was in could not care for her needs. My mum is very happy and contented. I have no complaints. Much praise to the staff. The nurse is very caring and approachable.
One criticism would be mum's clothes :visited recently, buttons had
come off mum's blouse, her bra was showing. One Monday she had food spilled all down her top. I feel sad and wish the staff had time to put her a new top on.
Also would be nice to be offered a coffee when it's snack time. Happy to contribute to a jar of coffee. Maintenance man very kind to the residents :).

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2024

Hello, my name is Kelly Barlow, I am the Registered Manager of The Westbourne, I joined the Westbourne in November 2021 as a Deputy Manager, progressing to the Home Manager in February 2024.


I have been in the care and nursing industry for several years, gaining knowledge and experience that I have been able to share with those I work alongside. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and walking my two dogs.
