Westbury Court

The staff are always very friendly and quick to respond to any requests. Mum is becoming more settled as time goes by.

Mum moved in at beginning of March but unfortunately has spent two of those weeks so far in hospital so it's early days. She has always been very anti-care homes so she is still 'adjusting' but gradually seems to be settling reasonably well given the circumstances. We have found all the staff very friendly, welcoming and the atmosphere is happy. The staff always manage to answer all our questions! The home is clean and bright. I am aware it is not easy, but I would like Mum to have a little more stimulation, particularly with things she is interested in - when she is not asleep of course! A lot of aimless wanderings seem to occur. I do find it hard to accept that so many of Mum's clothes and possessions go on regular walkabouts, some more important than others. However, I am aware this seems to be a regular issue with care homes in general but I feel rather sad about it. Unable to comment about the food, Mum doesn't eat particularly well and she doesn't comment.

Good care is taken of my mother. The food leaves much to be desired. (There is a company that caters for many care homes and has great feedback). Good food is necessary for health and well-being. Meals should be good enough to require no other food, this is not always the case. The carers and receptionist are always friendly and welcoming.

Since my mum has arrived I have seen a very positive improvement in her. She loves the food and the way the staff are so supportive. She really enjoys all the activities that are in place. Mum also enjoys being in the garden. In her previous home, Mum really struggled as was very low and always upset. Since February when she moved here, she had shown a greater belief and wanting in her life. Thank you.

From arrival to departure 100% care. No hesitation to recommend fully. I think one sentence says it all. Hand on Heart. If I know only a short time to live this is my dream place to expire. Every member of staff in the home is lovely and I will return when able. The manager is perfect and comes around every day. You should be proud of her.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The room is bright and airy, and the food looked delicious. Mum was very wary about moving from her own home, but she is starting to settle well.

Respect.

My mother-in-law regularly tells us how happy she is in this care home. The staff are all lovely and friendly and everyone there seems to be relaxed and happy every time we visit. There regularly seem to be a lot of activities for the residents. My mother-in-law also enjoys spending time in the garden.

From the moment you walk into the home's reception, it is welcoming and it has the feel of a hotel the rooms are clean and furnished nicely and you are allowed to bring in anything to make it as homely as possible. Nothing is too much.

This is an excellent care home, my father is treated with respect and dignity. All the staff are excellent. The rooms are clean and the food is second to none, nothing is too much trouble, would 100% recommend this care home.

A very enjoyable stay.

My mother will have been a resident at Westbury Court for two years this year. She is 96 years of age and a long way from home. My family and I are regular visitors, at least once a week in fact. The care she receives at Westbury Court is second to none. The staff are exceptional and it is a testament to them all that she often talks about them as friends. She enjoys the activities she is able to attend. As a family, we are happy in the knowledge that in her advanced years, she is well cared for, secure and content at Westbury Court.

Westbury Court - the staff team carers, nurses, housekeeping and admin were all very professional and maintained a high standard of care, friendliness, helpfulness and warmth. This wrapped around Dad and extended to the whole family. Dad's life was enriched whilst at Westbury Court, he was now in a safe place which also ensured Dad was valued and treated with care, kindness and respect. Dad had a fulfilled time at Westbury Court, which he felt was his home, full of caring 'friends'. Dad lost all anxiety and fear whilst at Westbury Court. The dignity given to him and his family in his final days was excellent and without fault.

All the staff that have been dealing with my husband have been very caring and helpful. They have quickly responded to queries and worries we have had. He has had exceptional care, and I cannot fail anything or anyone.

Brilliant.

I cannot fault the care that my stepdad has received since being at Westbury Court, from the cleaners through to the management. The home is spotless, the food is good and they care so much about his care and his needs. I feel comforted that although I live so far away that he is safe and that they all really care about him and his welfare. He is treated with kindness and dignity. Thank you.

The staff and the home, in general, have been nothing short of fantastic over the last 9 months since Mum moved in. Nothing seems too much trouble and their happy and helpful nature (even during the Covid restrictions) has made a difficult time so much easier on both Mum and her family. The fact that Mum is happy and feels more than at home at Westbury Court says it all really especially as she had to leave her own home of 8 years at short notice following a fall.

Excellent run care home and staff are always extremely helpful. My mum has a great bond with one carer. 10/10 for Westbury Court.

From the moment I walked into Westbury Court, I know that I had chosen the right place for my mum. Everyone is so caring, it feels so homely and clean. The care she gets is second to none and I couldn't wish for any more for her. She loves the food and likes to be able to choose her menu. She always looks clean and tidy, now even wearing her jewellery which hasn't happened for a very long time! I can now stop worrying, knowing she is being looked after.
