This home is very good and looks after my mum very well she doesn't want to leave. The food is excellent and the entertainment (ie) bbq etc very good. The staff are always on hand to help her and very friendly even though they have a hard job to do.

My mother has been in the home for three and a half years and suffers with dementia. The staff have managed her condition with such skill and care that although she doesn’t know where she is Mum is incredibly happy and settled.

I am always kept informed of her health and changes in medication and general wellbeing.

Every member of the care staff that I had interaction with were very caring to the residents and safety was the number one issue during these times. I visited every other day so can honestly say that I spent a lot of quality time at the home.

The team work well together, under good leadership, for the benefit of the residents and it shows. It is hard to leave a family member in new surroundings but this has been a blessing and my mother has found her ‘new home’ and is very happy, which makes us happy! A great place.

Thank you so much for this review, Chris, we know how very hard this last year has been for you as a family, but it was wonderful for you to be able to visit so often and to see Mum flourishing. With kindest regards, Sarah

I could not be happier that my mother is in Willow Tree Lodge. Visiting is a pleasure as she’s always so full of enthusiasm. As a lifelong lover of music and dancing, she particularly loves the entertainment and is usually first on the floor! The staff are excellent, very caring and fun, she loves the food, which is of a very high standard and the management team are great - always engaged and accessible. We have been very impressed with their handling of the difficult situation over the last 21 months or so!

Reply from Sarah Munro, Registered Manager at Willow Tree Lodge

Mum really is the life and soul of every party and her face speaks volumes as soon as the music comes on and she steps up to dance with staff. Thank you so much for your kind words and praise, it really is very much appreciated and the staff will be so grateful. Kind regards, Sarah

My mother has been at Willow Tree Lodge for nearly 4 years. She has a lovely bedroom and is extremely happy there. The staff are very caring and attentive and she says they can't do enough for her. The chef is very good and she loves the food; of which apparently there is a choice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Willow Tree Lodge as I have been very happy with my mother's treatment. They have also coped very well with the pandemic and have kept our relatives as safe as possible.

Willow Tree Lodge staff team are not just a wonderful group of people, they are an extension to our family! The care and love that they give to our Mum is outstanding. Throughout the last year of covid restrictions, we have known that Mum has been extremely well cared for and loved. Her dementia needs have been so carefully and lovingly met. She is so happy in her own world which is largely due to the stimulation and personal care of the staff team. They treat Mum as an individual and ensure that her care is highly personalized and at her own pace.

We would thoroughly recommend this care home to others as the care, love and attention to individual needs is phenomenal. A home from home and family ethos is evident throughout the whole home. We can never put into words how grateful we are to the manager and the whole team for how much they have done for Mum especially over this intense last year.

My Mother had been a resident at Willow Tree Lodge since 1st February 2016. She has a lovely garden facing room. She has been extremely happy there. The staff are absolutely amazing. So attentive and caring. The manager is an outstanding manager. Always available for a chat. So caring and kind with the residence and always there for them. The food also is outstanding, fresh local produce. We have had many a Sunday roast with my Mother, always made welcome. So happy my Mother is a resident at Willow Tree Lodge. The manager will be sadly missed.

From the outset, when we first made an enquiry at the home, we have been so impressed with the level of care and attention from the manager and the team. This has continued from when we moved Mum in, up until the current day. The team at the home are fantastic with nothing ever being too much bother. We cannot rate the home highly enough. Thank you to the manager and her team for everything you all do and for giving us peace of mind that Mum is receiving the very best care.

My mum has been a resident at Willow Tree Lodge for almost six years, where she has regarded it as her home. She has been very happy there and even though her capabilities have deteriorated, she is always happy and content. The care she receives is exemplary, she is treated with love and kindness by the wonderful staff who go above and beyond to keep me informed. They are like an extended family to us, a wonderful team. I have no hesitation in recommending Willow Tree Lodge if you need residential care for a loved one.

Willow Tree is a relatively small establishment. The upside is that this allows for more personal care for residents and better communication for relatives and visitors. The downside is that the facilities are a little constrained and activities not as grand as on offer in some larger establishments. In my view, the pluses outweigh any limitations.

Extremely happy with all aspects of the home. The staff are excellent and extremely accommodating. I have regular discussing with the home manager. I also get emails if I need updating on any issue relating to my mother. My mother, every time I have visited or called, is happy and content in herself, her room is always clean tidy and aired.

I can only highly recommend this home.

My mother became a resident in May 2019, this involved transferring from out of the area. Following the initial approach from myself on behalf of my mother, the manager and the team were very helpful, this was much appreciated as it came at a particularly stressful time for my mother and the wider family and the professionalism/compassion from the team made facilitating the smooth transition for my mother a seamless experience. Mum quickly settled in and has made several friends. Whenever we visit her there are always lots of staff on site and all display a real dedication to provide the best possible care/environment for the residents. I would have no hesitation in recommending Willow Tree Lodge.

My mother was admitted into Willow Tree Lodge in March 2018, it had been a tough year due to my father passing away a year earlier leaving myself and my brothers to take over our mothers care. Under our doctor's advice, we started looking at care homes and Willow Tree Lodge stood out from any we had looked at. We arranged a home visit with one of the care managers who from vast experience knew that as a family we were struggling to come to terms with the decision of having to put our mother in a care home, it's almost a feeling of failure. Her calm and warm manner towards our mother and ourselves gave us an instant feeling of care, not only for our mum but for us as her children. The attention to detail that all the staff in the care home organised before our mum's arrival was nothing more than overwhelming. Ensuring that her room mirrored her room at home to try and make her feel as secure and comfortable in this very difficult transition. All the staff are in my opinion amazing, caring.

As a family, we continue to be delighted by the overall level of care and support provided by the Management and Staff at Willow Tree Lodge. Notwithstanding the challenges created by my Mother's condition, she and the other patients are treated with respect, patience, empathy and a genuine willingness to meet their needs. The Staff have taken the time to get to know my Mum as an individual and try and anticipate her needs / understand how best to engage her despite the challenges of her Dysphasia. As a consequence, my Mum has been able to come to trust the Staff and this has been undoubtedly a key factor in her now being settled into the routine and being comfortable with the overall environment. She now sees it as where she lives. Of particular note is individual Staff members being keen to share when Mum has got involved in an activity and had a smile on her face. It is a real comfort to feel the Staff are as keen as we are to see Mum happy. I would strongly recommend Willow Tree.

Reply from Sarah Munro, Registered Manager at Willow Tree Lodge

It truly is wonderful seeing Mum's face engaging with us and entertainment, up singing and dancing with us and being able to ensure family see these moments makes our job so worthwhile. The engagement we have with her is so lovely, and yes she clearly does see this as home and it's great that all...
